As a medical student, I am required to be on my feet a lot. I need to look professional and be comfortable, so I am always interested in the shoes that I see people wearing around the hospital. One day, some of the residents and students were having a conversation about shoes. I said that my shoes were the most comfortable shoes, but one of the residents quickly chimed in and said, "No, these are the most comfortable", and another resident agreed. I found out that they were Finn Comfort, so I had to try them out. The first thing that I noticed was the price. Finn Comfort shoes are pretty expensive. After the shoes arrived, I tried them on and realized that I would have to wear them around the house for a while, to break them in, before I would be able to wear them for an entire day at the hospital. After being broken in at home, I wore them at the hospital and the breaking in process continued. During that time, there were some sore spots on my feet. My feet also felt quite sweaty, even though they are clogs and the backs are open. I don't know, maybe I just have really sweaty feet. After all that, I am comfortable saying that the shoes are quite comfortable. And compared to the other shoes that I wear at the hospital, they are much lighter. All in all, I am satisfied with these shoes and they are a decent option for people who have to be on their feet all day long. They are also easy to wipe clean, which is important when a person makes a living in the hospital.

Great shoe. Looks like this is the only brand I can wear now except for MBT. That is sad but the good news is this brand is simply grand. Been wearing Finn Comfort for well over ten years. Best arch support around.

Two years ago I suffered from Plantar Fasciitis and it was very painful to take a step. I thought trying these shoes would not hurt and I am very glad I did. My first pair I wore for about a year and half as these were the only shoes I could walk in. They are not much to look at but through stretching exercises and wearing these shoes I am now able to use up to a two and half inch heel which I thought would never happen. The Aussee was worth every penny.

Not for the thinner foot - Even with the velcro I couldn't get a snug-enough fit. My feet are a B-width, but on the narrower side.

Rating the Finn Comfort's Aussee - The shoe was a little disappointing as it sure wasn't as comfortable as I had expected. This type of shoe is all that I wear and found that the Clarks brand (which is way cheaper) is much more comfortable than these. Maybe I have to break them in. I'm not sure yet, but if you ask me right now, I would not recommend these shoes, especially for the cost.

uncomfortable arch - The arches in this shoe are too far forward for my foot, and I learned from a local shoe store that this is common in Finn Comfort shoes. Also, even though my American size 11 should translate into a European 42 (add 31 to usual size), it was too short and my heel was at the very back edge of the shoe. I am going to try these in a 43 and hope that both problems will be resolved...

Love this shoe -- great arch support, so comfortable. I like the classic footbed, but I have a high arch and like padding under my arch. Fits my wide feet. Nothing fancy - black/black metal added a little silvery interest, but subtle. Great for jeans, casual pants. Very similar fit to my Orbs, which I love.

I wear an 8 1/2 normally and the 39 fits me perfectly. I own 1 pair with the standard footbed and this pair with the soft footbed. The feel of the soft footbed is different than the standard footbed but both are super comfortable in their own way. They are very simple looking and go great with jeans - they look almost like a boot under the jeans. The adjustable strap helps them fit correctly.

I wear these when I am working at my retail job part time and I'm on my feet for 3-8 hours. My full-time job is at an office, so when I'm on my feet even for 3 hours, they are tired afterward. I have a higher than average arch, so these Finn Comfort's provide great arch support and my feet don't feel as tired as when I wore athletic shoes. They do take some getting used to because of the extra provided support that you don't normally find in other shoes. For me, they are worth the price. They provide the right support for my feet.

I just bought this pair, and have not actually worn them yet...don't want to break them in during our rainy weather! But I do have a couple of pairs of these, one pair that I have to worn to work almost exclusively for the past 2+ years. They are still good, but dont look too great anymore for work, so will wear them for my quick throw on shoes at home, and start wearing the new ones to work. Obviously, I do love the Finn Aussee. I have a somewhat narrow foot, and this particular Finn has enough adjustment to fit me. I work on a cement floor, and the cork footbed saves my feet. They feel a little stiff when new, but after a short time they mold to your foot and become a fast favorite.

Great shoe! I own this shoe in two colors. It is the most comfortable shoe I have owned. It has both a longitudinal and a metatarsal arch support. It was comfortable straight out of the box - no break in time.

Finn Comfort Aussie - Very comfortable shoes, black with brown accents so you can wear them with either color. Perfect for librarians who stand a long time. Finn Comfort is my last resort for tired feet.

Great shoes - This is my third pair and they are wonderful. Super walking shoes and I wear them to meetings and work. Two pair of my Finn Comforts will be going with me to meeting with about 2,000 people later this week.

Love my Finn Comfort Aussie shoes - After having minor surgery on both of my feet in '02, I have to purchase shoes with excellent arch support in all arches. Finn Comfort fits that bill. I love my black pair of Aussie shoes. They make a great durable winter shoe whether I need a casual look or a dressy look with my slacks. The Aussie was an attraction to me because of the vinyl colored insert on top of the shoe and the two inch heel is perfect for my feet. I have always had narrow feet, but since my surgery, my foot doctor recommended that I wear medium width shoes so that my feet are not cramped. With the Finn Comfort Aussie shoes, I can adjust the velcro fitting giving the fit I need. Love these shoes, adding to my collection of Finn Comfort shoes.

Most comfortable shoe on the market - I love Finn Comfort. It is the only shoe that is not a tennis shoe that I could walk ten miles at a time in. I am so glad that I discovered it.

Great Shoe - These shoes have saved my winter life! I can not wear a shoe with much of a heel and these do the job perfectly. The heel is high enough to keep your foot from sliding out and not so high to put excessive pressure on the metatarsal area. I love them.

Not the best clog - This shoe has an unusual look beyond the Dansko plain clog which is so unexciting. However, like Dansko this clog runs large. I usually wear a 40 in the Birkenstock but this clog was both too long in the 40 and too wide for my foot. Naot is a much better shoe. Thanks Zappos for free returns!

A good barefoot shoe - If you wear cotton socks, it is difficult to slide into the clog without opening it. But it does hug the foot.

Too narrow! Although handsome, this shoe is too narrow for my wide foot. The Rieker Orb fits me well though.

I ordered this pair of shoes in the size of the exact same pair I had previously, and they were a full size smaller! Thanks to Zappo's easy returns, I ordered another pair one size up. These are perfect; just be aware that you likely need to size up. The leather is gorgeous and after wearing them only a couple days they feel like a favorite broken in shoe.

Have been wearing Finns for 20 years for flat feet and arch support. I wasn’t sure these would work, and they feel better with thin socks, but these are perfect for a winter loafer! Even with the open back, your feet fit deep enough into the shoe that they won’t slip out. Finn does it again! Thank you Zappos!

I have another pair of Finn comfort shoes in the same exact style. These were a full size smaller despite being labeled the same size. The shoes are gorgeous, the leather just beautiful. I was so unhappy that I had to return them - no larger size was available. I gave them 5 stars as they do merit that rating - I would suggest sizing up.

Don't be put off by the price! These are a real long-term investment. I bought these to replace my first pair of Finn Comfort shoes I purchased in Germany 30 yrs ago. This is the finest brand of shoe with 100% positive customer service.

Plenty of room in the toe box, I have a hammer toe so that is an issue in some shoes. Birkenstock's offer more arch support, but this is adequate, and this is a better looking shoe. The black leather is beautiful, classic and expensive looking. Very smooth interior finish, Nothing rubs uncomfortably, even when I go sockless. I usually wear an 8-1/2B and the 39 is perfect. Can anyone tell me if the soles of the shoes are slippery when wet or in light snow?
