I also have been carrying a Lauren that I still love, but is to big for the purse I am carrying right now. This Alice in red is wonderful it is able to hold everything the Lauren did and look fantastic doing it. The leather is so soft and the color beautiful. I want the black one now.

The wallet is beautiful. It seems to be made well. The color is just as promised. I have found, sometimes the color red can vary. But this is a rich, beautiful red. So far I am very happy with my purchase and would do it again.

I don't write many reviews, but I love this wallet. I have been in desperate need of a new wallet but couldn't find the one I liked. it's cute and a great size with lots of little pockets. I recently moved to Europe so I need a place for all the euro coins and this one does the trick.

I love this wallet in the mint green color. It's more of a spring green, beautiful, soft, & well sized. It manages to be compact and yet fits all of my cards, cash, and change with room to spare.

This is my first Hobo purchase, and it's perfect. So perfect for my needs and wants that I'm writing this review! It fits perfectly in my hand: not too big, not too small. It has just the right number of slots for cards, a decent coin purse thing (a must for me), and an outer pocket thing for receipts, etc. I ordered the lilac, a very pretty light purple. I normally get more responsible (re: boring tans) colors but this one really stood out as special. And it is! Oh, the inner lining is a fun print, and - ahhh, it's just a wonderful little wallet.

I cannot tell you how important this wallet is. It's supple, and gorgeous, and efficient, and I will never buy another wallet again!

This is perfect! I love Hobo and this does not disappoint. I have been using the Metrocard holder and was needing to graduate to a full size wallet. It holds bills full-length, an actual usable coin purse, and plenty of pockets for cards and stashing stuff. I am in love! I got the lilac color and it is gorgeous!

At first glance I thought the wallet was going to be to small, but everything fit perfectly. It's unbelievable how much would fit in it. Really nice quality and craftsmanship. Zappos gets 5 stars on the shipping time also. Thanks.

I have only just received this wallet which is the reason for not giving it 5 stars. The leather is soft, the color (brown) is rich and as shown. I have purchased a smaller purse and my large checkbook sized wallet was just too big. I think this will give me more room. I like that it has an ample sized change purse versus.a small zipper. I will see how the deep bill pocket works out, others have commented on it.

I love this wallet but sadly after only having it for 3 months the button/snap fell off :( going to try to exchange it b/c I do love the wallet so much!

I love the Alice; it really my favorite all-time wallet but I would recommend getting it in black because it stains very easily. Mine looked trashed (in green) before long.

And not to get into a "battle of the reviews" thing here but us wallet girls, we know what we know, and want what we want. So let me be very clear about the "like my bills open and flat" versus "it is too short and you have to fold your bills." The cash compartment when the wallet is open is perfectly comfortable to hold straight, long, unfolded bills. So if you are like me and you not only like your bills flat, but in ascending order then the Alice is perfect.

I will cop to it! These reviews had me giddy in anticipation of moving in to a new wallet. And yup, the leather is buttery and fine. She is easy on the eyes and just worn in enough that it is easy to mistake it for a wallet that you have had for a long time. I love it. I realized tonight upon opening it and moving in however, that I went my usual New Yorker everything has to be black route, that it is Spring! Summer is coming, so guess what? I am here the very next night to order a pretty summer color. I wish there was a pewter or a shimmery essence one. I will look again. I love the Alice. If I had to name a flaw, it is a bit shy on space is all. If you carry a mommy wallet with more than 10 cards and tend to keep tons of receipts and extras, you will not find this roomy enough. But I will load it up and get back to you all in a few weeks. It is worth the buy to judge for yourself.

Overall I love this wallet. I've had it over a year and it is just the right size to hold my all my cards but small enough to fit in a crossbody. The leather is beautiful and soft. I love the blue color I purchased. I gave the wallet 4 stars because of the credit card slots. As the wallet's leather has gotten softer with use, the credit card slots are not as tight as when I purchased it. The slots on the side of the coin pouch have always been extremely loose but now I can't use the slots on the other side without worrying the cards will fall out. I've taken to putting 2 or 3 in a slot but it leaves the rest of the slots as wasted space.

Love all the card slots, love that it's not oversized, but I bought the metallic and not at all happy that the metallic is rubbing and now feels like it will peel. I have only had it a few months. I don't know if the regular leather will do the same thing but I would think twice about buying metallic. And my experience with other metallic purses other brands, I have never had this issue, and HOBO traditionally is a decent quality product.

I carry a Rebecca Minkoff wallet that is getting a little warn out. Hobo Alice is soft but feels more like suede and looks shabby. I really wanted to like this but it is only okay not stellar.

Cute little change purse, but not long enough for cash, too small for a phone. Not sure what I could use this for except as a change purse.

I purchased the blush vintage leather with the rose gold tone metal. First off, let me just say that it is gorgeous. I thought it was going to be perfect! Unfortunately, however, the leather is really super soft. So soft that it scratches very easily and shows every crease and dent. I knew that this beautiful blush color will look terrible in a matter of weeks (also confirmed by another reviewer!). Also, I could not fit everything into the wallet. I have 6 credit cards and ID card and the wallet was so bloated I couldn't close it. It really is a stunner, but sadly, I had to return it. I really do love Hobo wallets, I just wish this was a bit better because I wanted to keep it! The leather is the biggest issue.

I really wanted to love this wallet. And would have if not for the horrid smell. It smells like strong sharpie/magic marker odor and, even with airing it out, the odor is not going away. It gives me a headache and is unusable. Too bad as I really like everything else about this item.

I was sooo excited to find what I thought was a Hobo Alice wallet that has been unavailable for quite some time. However, this wallet felt cheap. The leather was shiny and stiff, not matte (vintage?) and it didn’t feel soft like other Hobo wallets nor look like the photo. All of the inside card slots were also shiny leather, instead of half having a signature Hobo fabric. The clasp was hard to open and close. Didn’t feel like a Hobo Alice wallet (I have one that is 6 years old for comparison) and certainly not worth the higher price.

Not great quality. The leather is fraying on all edge. I thought I'd give Hobo another chance but I've been let down again.
