I have owned many Acorn slipper products over the years and never been disappointed. This pair is positively bizarre. The size chart indicates XXL as the suggested size for a Men's size 12-13 foot. I wear in that range so ordered them. They arrived about an 1.5 inches longer than needed and so narrow that the sole is narrower than my foot. The sole, in fact, isn't even shaped like a human foot. I spoke to Customer service about this and was told that with the mergers with Isotoner and some other companies they have found some problems with some new suppliers. A second pair was sent in case the first was an anomaly and it was similar although longer. Customer service refunded the charge and didn't require for me to return the defective slippers and suggested donating them locally to a clothing bank of some kind. My feeling is that the company was very responsible in terms of dealing with the product but the slippers themselves were completely unacceptable.

I've been wearing Acorn Slipper socks (cotton) since the early 80s, buying new pairs with confidence because they were one of those perfect items that does't need fixing. I'm tall and slim and the new fit of these socks are to tight around the ankle, and the top of the sock also way too tight. Further, the length of the sock is now much too long. I had to return them much to my great disappointment! I can't image someone with larger ankles/calf than mine being comfortable in these...I"m a standard size 11 and slim. My wife ordered a new pair and returned them for the same reason as well. What a shame.

My wife gave me these as a Christmas gift as my previous slipper socks had finally worn out. I've been wearing these for decades, replacing them every few years after they've worn out. They've always been my favorite slipper. This year however, apparently Acorn has changed the sizing and fit for the worse. I'm a tall slim guy and these fit very tight around the ankles and about an inch too long. I can understand why those who have larger feet/ankles are even more disappointed. I finally went to the Acorn site to see if they made a change, and they did calling it a new "fit". They fixed something that wasn't broke!
I'm really disappointed.l I've worn them several times since Christmas really wanting them to fit and hoping they would stretch out, but have not. I threw away the packaging on Christmas day thinking they were the same slipper sock as I've always had. Wrong. They're just very very slightly worn on the sole (not much) as I wanted to see if they would fit better. So without the original packaging (just a small wrapper) and worn 3-4 times I can't return them according to Zappos return policy. This isn't Zappos fault. It's Acorn's decision to change then fit.
So beware if you've worn these in the past. They are not the same.

I have a pair of these slipper sock that I bought years ago. I love the comfort and warmth. I wanted to replace them and ordered new ones in the same size. The new ones were too narrow and way too long. I triped over the toe when walking. I have a medium width foot but felt like my foot was falling over the footbed. They were not comfortable so I returned them and am still wearing my old ones. Wish you had kept the same sizing.

Sock portion designed for "stork" legs. Will not stretch enough to pull up on calf.

Stitching is poor and comes loose right out of the package.

I have been buying Acorn Slipper Socks pretty much since they were invented. I recently wore out a pair sized M 10½-11½, so I reordered and received the same size. While the length was correct, the soles are considerably narrower, they are almost impossible to pull on - and I do mean pull, and the sock height is substantially greater. A friend had the same experience about a year ago. I thought he might have ordered the wrong size or the slipper socks were mismarked, but apparently neither was true. It seems to me that what Acorn has done is go to unisex sizing, and the narrower sole is the result. I should point out that the width in Zappos is specified as M, which is the size I typically wear. No W is offered. Too bad. I really loved these things.

With the new Acorn, your heel rest on "hump." So it keep sliding off. I will never buy Acorn again!

Not only uncomfortable but unwearable. I had a pair many years ago that were very comfortable. These were truly disappointing. I will return them.

I had to return the product and the original total cost to me was [$] and the refund amount was only $44.46? Not cool.
