Disappointment - I recently discovered Earth shoes (didn't know they still made them, bought a pair of men's Orions that feel like heaven. Tried the Dharma because they're so cute (can't wear oxfords everywhere!), but they hurt within minutes. No cushion under your feet, the toes point up like elf shoes which is painful. Note: I have really bad feet, arthritis, inflammation, etc. and can't handle any pressure on my toes. That's what's great about the Orion -- the sole is "even. You get your energy return from the negative heel, not from the toebox inclining like most shoes. Not much arch support, soles felt hard, and no matter how much I tightened up the straps the shoes came off my heels with every step. I'm used to a little slip with clog-type shoes, but this was a lot. Very stiff leather was disappointing also, as they look soft in the pictures. These are probably darling in a smaller size but in an 11 they look like huge genie shoes, I couldn't stop laughing! Anyway, I'll just try a different style -- a whole lot of women think this shoe is great, so it's obviously me and my bad feet that's the problem. Zappos, as usual, is awesome. You have to love a company that lets you try on shoes and return them for something else at no charge for shipping.

This EARTH shoe is a HURT shoe!!! MY feet, my calves, my legs, my thighs!!! Everything hurt! On my feet 8-1o hours a day and loved my previous earth shoes. Got compliments on how cute they were but I was suffering for fashion. Can't take it any more. Buying new shoes. This earth shoe really hurts you.

Fit is everything. The Earth shoe men's size 9 fits this lady with wide feet perfectly. But the women's, which are so nice looking, just don't. If the shoe is the right length, the arch placement is off. So I'll just hope you make this in a men's size.
