The. Best. Shoes. Ever. I love these shoes. When I walk in them, I feel like I'm somehow springing off from each step, and my legs never get tired! They're better than fitness shoes for this. They're not soft and pillowy inside, but somehow the footbed is contoured in a way that is perfect alignment for my foot. These are just as comfortable new as when they are broken in. They look good with jeans or with skirts!

MY FEET LOVE ME! These shoes are better then Birkenstocks and I have 15 pairs of those. I now own 5 pair of DANSKO and my torn knees and flat feet love me. I am able to walk better and feel so much better.

Pure comfort - I recently purchased the professional oiled clogs and they are the only shoes I want to wear. I have actually bought several items of clothing to go with my shoes. I just do not want to wear anything else. I recently wore them to a trip to the zoo with my child's class, six hours walking through 1500 acres. The only thing that didn't ache was my feet! If you are thinking about them, GET THEM, you won't regret this purchase.

Get these! These were my first pair of Dansko shoes, and I absolutely love them! I am on my feet and walking a lot, and my feet never hurt anymore! They are worth every penny.

On your feet for all day? You Need These Shoes! As many of you who already own Dansko know, if you have to stand all day these are the best shoes you can wear. The feel a little strange when you first wear them, and look different too, since they are a clog style, but just try them! You'll be another Dansko fan. I have wide feet, and the oiled clog works just fine, as the leather gives a little more than the box leathers. Remember, there should be a pencil width between your heel and the back of the shoe when standing! Try them and be amazed!

Red Clogs Rule! They are a bit tighter than the other Danskos I have, but after just one day of wearing they loosened up.

Too small? Take it to a cobbler - I bought these shoes about a month ago, and had a very hard time finding the right fit, since they vary so much by the pair, even within the same size. I tried many 38s and some 39s and finally thought I had a pair that fit both my feet well. However, they turned out to be too narrow in the toes. Because they are such expensive "comfort" shoes, this was annoying to say the least, since I had worn them outside and couldn't exchange them. BUT! I took them to the cobbler shop, asked the cobbler to stretch them a little in the widthwise direction (and to do the right more than the left), and now they fit perfectly...a custom fit. The leather also feels nicer now because the stretching process softened it up some. I would recommend a cobbler to all of you who wrote to say your shoe was too tight in some direction, since they won't stretch with wear. The cobbler is a traditional craftsperson who is still needed, especially with shoes like these whose fit is so unpredictable.

Very hopeful about these shoes… Well, I just got them an hour ago and I've been wearing them around the office. I have Plantar Fasciitis and I've been wearing sneakers with orthotics so this is my first pair of "comfortable shoes". I like the firm, supportive feel and the fact that they are narrow is fantastic b/c I tried the medium width on and my foot was swimming around in them. So I passed on mediums and here I am happier than ever with the narrows. Though I am surprised that the shoes seem slightly smaller as well as narrower than the 39 Mediums…kind of weird b/c I'm really in between a 38 & 39 but this length is perfection so I'm not complaining! The only thing I am noticing that might be annoying is the inside stitching where the top and sides meet. The material is rubbing a little but I assume that will lessen with wear. I really like the Blueberry color… I wasn't too keen on black or cordovan and I wear jeans all the time so the blue is perfect…dark but still blue-ish.

Great shoe- sizing can be tough- I am a true US size 6.5 and I first tried these shoes in size 37. Although comfortable, they were VERY loose and I knew there was no way I would be able to safely walk the dog in them. So, I got a size 36. The size 36 is slightly too small (my toes touch the end of the shoe although my heels still slip up and down as they should). However, they are still comfortable and I feel more secure (I really dislike feeling like I am going to kick my shoes off when I walk). One thing about the size 36 is that I do not feel as much arch support as I did in the 37 (maybe because they are too small?). Also, these shoes wobble on uneven (i.e. off road or cobble stone) terrain. I think this is part of the rocker design. Despite these complaints, I still love the shoe (looks great and still more comfortable then most other shoes) and I am extremely glad I have them. Really wish Dansko did half sizes.

Dansko’s Professional Oiled- Very comfortable, great arch support, feel the back makes it easier to walk in the regular clogs. Only negative would be the way the back is finished- there are edges around the heel that make it impossible to wear without a sock or even a little heaver sock. Would be much better if the inside of the heel were lined for a smooth finish.

Tight Across the top- These shoes are comfortable if not for the top part which is very tight. Every step I make it feels like my foot is being jabbed right in the middle. It hurts after a while; it's too bad since I bought it for everyday use at work.

Dansko is Dansko. Wears like iron, everyone tries to copy them, got them for less from another catalog, and had to send them back, the sizing was all off. That’s what happens when you try to save on Dansko. Nothing like the real thing, and always in fashion. Runs very roomy to wear with socks. I would get half size smaller for bare feet. No break in time needed!!

Super comfy! These are the most comfortable shoes ever! I purchased the black and think I will eventually get the brown as well. If it weren't for the fact they are so pricey, I would have gotten them already. They are worth it though because the quality is excellent and I know I will have these shoes for a long time. Al the other reviewers advised sizing up, however, I ordered my normal size and found them way too big. They are very wide too. I normally wear a 6 and eventually settled on the 35's.

Bad for high arches - I was *so* looking forward to these shoes, and everyone says how comfortable they are! But they were really painful on the top of my high arches, and no amount of breaking in seemed to help. :( But Zappos rocks!

Great Shoe, But Sizing Is Difficult - The first pair I ordered was too small even though I ordered up a half size. I returned them and got the next largest size, but the second pair is too big. Yes, your heel is supposed to move up and down but I have to wear them with really thick socks to keep them from sliding and flopping all around. I suppose the socks are actually an advantage if you live where the winters are cold. They aren't very often here. I like the way Dansko's look though cute is not exactly a word I'd apply to clogs. They do look better than Birkenstock clogs, and they are comfortable. They might be the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned...if they came in my size. I am keeping them, and buying more socks.

Chef all day - Was looking for a new pair and love Zappos so I ordered and was pleased except for the fit. They are too big but with inserts did much better. I would be careful of your sizing with these.

High hopes - I had such high hopes for these shoes. But apparently I'll have to continue going barefoot! When I lived in Europe several years ago I always bought size 40, so I ordered 41 as my feet have gotten bigger with age. I could barely get them on and my toes hit the ends. I have plantar fasciitis and a very high arch in the left foot and recently broke my right ankle. I'm living in an ancient pair of open back clogs because I can't fit anything else. HELP!! I'm exchanging for the next size up, but am not very hopeful.

Before I begin I should say that I have a very hard foot to fit due to various foot problems. I loved these great looking shoes. I tried to tell myself that they would be fine but, no dice, they were just too wide in the heel. My heels would not stay put when walking, the arch also seemed off. I normally wear a 7 1/2, ordered an 8 and the length was good. I bought these to wear with med to heavy socks and the toe width accommodated both. The heel was the main problem.

I finally bought a pair- I really have toyed with buying these clogs for 2 or more years. I am a pointy toed boot girl, and I thought these wouldn't be me. I like them a lot; they are quite comfortable, and perfect with jeans on a running around type of day. The shoe is a little loose, but I wear them with thicker socks.

Great basic shoe! I can see why nurses and people who work all day on their feet love these. I ordered them because I am premed right now and will probably be on my feet a lot in a hospital soon. They aren't the hottest shoes ever (I'm a heels gal), but they are definitely cute and way comfortable. They seem to run a little bit big, but only by about 1/2 a size. The 38 felt pretty loose (but comfy and didn't slip off my foot) on my normally-size-8 feet, but the 37 was obviously too small. I stayed with the 38 and am happy. I can see buying quite a few pairs of these.

Dansko clogs - The sizes are a bit tricky, but overall it is a great, comfortable shoe! I do a lot of walking in my line of work, and I have found the best pair of shoes for the job! The look is fantastic, and the comfort seals the deal!

I had the same problem as Anonymous on 2005-10-05. I ordered the Black Professional Oiled in the same size (38) as my brown pair, which fit great. They were on the large side, and especially one of them (I can't remember if it was the left or the right) was noticeably looser, it flopped around so much it was annoying. Sure enough, I got out a measuring tape, and the distance between the top of the back of the shoe and the top of the part over the instep was about 1/4 inch longer in the floppy shoe. I sent those back, Zappo's is great about returns, and I ordered another pair, thinking this pair was defective. Now these are the same size, but they are on the small size, and my left shoe is a little too tight when I wear thick socks. I'm starting to think that Dansko is having quality control issues lately. If you find a pair of shoes that fits, these are the greatest shoes in the world. You just might have to try a few first. These shoes have great arch support and are really comfortable. AND they are great "rain" shoes, keeping your feet dry on days when it's raining cats & dogs.

Elena - If you are looking for comfort this shoe is just great with the look of old matrona's shoes.You really forget how they look as you put them on for 14 hours a day.I only wish that Zappos would let customers know were the shoes are made, not just this one but all of them. It will help to make the right choice.

Great shoe, but a tad big - Great looking shoe- but then as a nurse, I LOVE my clogs. Only thing- they seem to run a bit big- have to wear a very thick sock to prevent my foot from moving more than I'm used to. No break-in period needed. Got them, and promptly flew across country (luggage, flights, connections etc)a couple of days later. Walked all thru Chicago for several days. Only thing, wish they were offered 1/2 size smaller- would get lots more. And Zappos got them to me in record time! wonderful company. Have told lots of friends about the site.

Almost perfect... I am pleased for the most part with this shoe. I am a medical student so I needed shoes that would be good for being on my feet all day for clinical (and still look good). Unfortunately, I cannot wear them for too long because my toes go numb. Other than that, they are comfortable. They are the first pair of shoes (other than jogging shoes) that I don't have to use band aids or moleskin. I am trying the Clarks Hannah shoes and see if they still do the same thing with my toes.
