First of all, I ordered these less than 24 hours ago and their already placed neatly in my closet. I love Zappos shipping. The quality of this boot is perfect, as expected. \r\n\r\nI\'m a size 8.5-9 and a 9 is almost too snug on my right foot, but I expect them to stretch. \r\n\r\nI purchased these as motorcycle boots and they\'re so cute, I almost don\'t want to wear them in fear of scuffing them up! Perfect with skinny jeans or cute dress. I want to buy another pair.

Great boots, I have a wider foot and thick calves, and they fit with skinny jeans. Also, they look good with skirts. Overall, a good investment. Color is a match to the picture, too.

These boots are fabulous! They\'re a little more snug on my left than my right compared with other Fryes, and I had a hard time pulling them on the first few wears. But once they\'re, on they\'re beautiful, comfortable, and lighter weight than my other Fryes. The shaft is really thin flexible leather, which makes them way less heavy on my feet, and I love the toe box. It\'s not as pointy some of the other Frye styles. I\'ve got big feet, and I feel like they make my feet look cute.

Perfect spring boots! Color is great with light and dark colored skirts as well as jeans. Comfort is there, too. It takes a couple of times wearing them to get the "fit" since they are leather but it's truly a Frye boot; highest quality leather and much to my surprise, soft, textured leather that's easy to clean. Best feature for me, they're not "typical looking" because of the color and not everyone is wearing a pair like these. I enjoy wearing something no one else has, yet at least!

I decided I wanted a pair of boots with a lower heel because I can wear boots year-round in my climate. I have an especially hard time getting boots to fit because I'm 5' tall with very muscular calves (14.75" circumference). Boots that are too tall or skinny just won't work. I got the Veronica Slouch in Taupe and I am IN LOVE WITH THEM. They fit perfectly over skinny jeans and are also great with dresses. I love the color I got which is brown with a grayish undertone that looks casual and rugged. The boots were not 100% comfortable to begin - the left one fit me perfectly, but the right one rubbed a little. After a couple of more wearings, this is no longer a problem and both boots feel awesome. They just needed a little breaking in. The only other thing I did was add a heel insert to make them a little more comfortable for walking around the city. I am a huge fan of these. The quality seems great. The fit is perfect - based on other reviews, I ordered true to size - and are exactly the look I was going for.

I looked a long time for some great motorcycle style boots to wear with skinny jeans and tights, and these are perfect! They are really comfy for long days at work (I spend most of the day on my feet). At first they were a little tight to pull on, but they have stretched just enough now and they fit perfectly. I get comments every time I wear these boots, all in all they are amazing, and definitely worth the price. I will wear these for years.

I received these boots today am so excited. They are gorgeous. The fit is very true to size. There was a comment made about the ankle being a little loose which is true, however once you tighten the ankle buckle, the fit is more secure. These boots fit over pants easily and nicely. These are expensive, but with Frye, you truly get what you pay for. A long lasting, reliable product.

Love them! I have been searching for a boot that fits my calves. Which are on the larger side and most boots don't fit. These have a buckle at the top, which allows me to loosen them. I ordered my street size, not the half size smaller as my other Frye boots. I hope you enjoy these as well!

Love, love, love these boots! Really great, casual...I am 5'5' and the shaft height is perfect for me. I don't size down on Frye so I can have the option of wearing a thicker sock...must have!

I had been holding off on buying a really nice pair of boots until I found ones that I just HAD to have, well these ones were it, and I am so happy I waited. I can wear them for anything, everything from riding on the back of my boyfriend's motorcycle, to dressing them up a little with tights and a long sweater, and everything in between. I can wear them all day and they are amazingly comfortable. Wouldn't trade them for anything, way worth the money!

I have always wanted a pair of Frye Boots and finally decided to take the "plunge" and buy a pair. I had initially received these only to discover they had some serious flaws. I immediately contacted the good folks at Zappos and they were so helpful. They sent out another pair right away. I received them in short order and was pleased with the replacement pair. This is probably my 12th pair of shoes I have purchased from them since 2009 and I can't complain. These boots are stylish and comfortable. The arch support is not the greatest if you have a high instep. The boots do not support any kind of orthotic/insole. I think it is probably a wise idea to wear them a bit till they stretch and see about an insole then. I can't wait to show them off!!

Just received my Frye Veronica Slouch boots (saddle size 7) and the Engineer 15R (Gaucho sz7.)I am keeping the Veronica Slouch, but returning the Engineers. The Engineers are too narrow around the calf for me. They are supposed to be 14 inches in circumference which they probably are, but that is not really comfortable since my calves are 14 inches...even though I could get away with wearing them and they would probably stretch over time, or I could ask a shoe repair guy to stretch since they are just single layer thick leather. I love the tough/tomboy look and the sturdy leather. I feel like they would last forever. They are hard to pull on, and I have average arches. HOWEVER, they were easier to get on the second time when I wore a nylon trouser sock instead of my wool socks. The sole will leave marks on hard floors. So that's the deal with the engineers. NOW for the Veronicas: Overall, this is a more refined, sophisticated boot than the Engineer. Not that this is better, just different. Yet with the silver buckles, it definitely has an edginess to it. It is made of a soft, thinner leather. I think the leather is thinner to get the slouch style, not due to poor quality. But it is definitely different than my other Fryes. My campus boots are leather with light camel leather lining. (double layer, can't be stretched by cobbler.) I am a size 7. The Veronicas are a bit big at my heel but fine in the toe box. Smaller size would pinch my little toe. And one of my feet is slightly smaller (6.5?)than the other. The straps are necessary to adjust the fit so my heel doesn't slip too much. I have to have it on the smallest at the instep, then the heel is comfortable. Pull on boots are supposed to have some room in the heel according to a fit specialist I consulted. The calf circumference is roomy. My calves are 14 inches and there would be room for skinny jeans (if I wore them!) with these if strap is at it's max length. They also seem to be taller than my 'campus' boots (size 6.5) and that is what I was looking for. They pull on easily. They can be pulled all the way up (which I prefer to the looser/slouchiness) and then calf strap adjusts to keep them up. They are comfortable right out of the box and light weight compared with my other Fryes. I also have the harness 12R (7) So anyway, the 'saddle' leather is a really nice color with some burnishing that makes it darker at the toebox. Love the silver buckles. And it seems like a boot that I can wear even in warmer weather. It will look great with skirts, dresses and jeans and leggings. They are expensive. I'd rather have them for $250 like the Engineers but I think they will last a long time and get a lot of wear. May be a more versatile boot at my age (almost 42 already!!)than the more rough and tough engineer. But I have my heavier campus and harness boots for that! I DO love Fryes! Some women feel powerful in their heels/pumps; but give me a pair of Frye boots and I can conquer anything! Enjoy!!

I'm a big fan of Frye quality and looks, and these are not disappointing. Really comfortable, look good under and over jeans and with skirts. I like the slight leg curve over other boots that are straight. Adjustability in the instep is nice so I can put on really thick socks in cold weather. Although they were comfortable right out of the box, I'm still breaking them in, and they are getting more comfortable every day!

In a word, EXCELLENCE! I had a tough time getting these. I tried to buy these online. I put them in my cart and upon checkout they were no longer available. I called and was upset that the website let me put them in my cart. The associate said a pair was due back on a return and put in for an email notice when they came back in stock. A few days later I was lucky to get them. I was nervous though, that they would be messed up, scratched, scuffed or worn. To my surprise, they were perfect. I have been wearing the heck out of them. They are comfy and cute. They go well with skirts, skinny jeans and I adore them. Frye = good quality.

I convinced my Mom to buy these boots despite the high price, but I have worn no other shoe since I got them. They go with everything in my wardrobe which consists of leggings and skinny jeans. They are super well made. They will last literally forever. I will get them resoled when they wear out on the heel. I have had these boots for about two months and they grow softer with wear. They slouch more now than when new. These are the boots to own instead of spending $50 or more on several pairs of boots - these are the only ones you need to look cool. They are comfortable. They run true to size. I sprayed my with water-repellant spray for boots so they don’t get the salt stain from wearing in the winter since we have had so much slushy snow this winter. I can’t say how much I love these boots. Well worth the price. Classic, but hip style that will always stay in style.

These boots are gorgeous. The leather is soft and exquisite. I have never bought boots as expensive as these (I tend to not spend more than $100 on shoes), but when you take into account the actual quality and how long these will last, they are worth every penny and are actually a bargain. Even though I'm usually a 7.5 I ordered two sizes (7.5 and 8) just to make sure I got the right size. It ended up fitting true to size and I sent back the 8. I got these the day before a travel and work weekend to Dallas, and I was so comfortable in these! Imagine, a whole day wandering around LAX, walking and working in Dallas, another airport stop in San Francisco and back to LAX, and not a blister. I was lucky and didn't have the breaking in process, they fit perfect, and felt perfect from the get go. (BTW, Dallas still had snow on the ground and my feet with just regular socks were completely warm.) I'm getting compliments on these gorgeous boots, and every step I take in them I am reassured of my purchase. I had ordered other pairs of boots and have sent them back as I only intended to keep one, and Zappos has been wonderful about the shipping process. I got these lightning fast and have (so far) had a breezy return. I will not hesitate to shop Zappos again and have already recommended them to co-workers, friends, and family.

These boots are terrific and true to size. I got the grey and have received so many compliments on them...from NYC to Texas. I have traveled in them and they are extremely comfortable and look amazing with skinny cords tucked in.

Best purchase I’ve made in a long time! Not only was Zappos AMAZING at fast shipping (I ordered them at 6pm and received them the next morning), but the boots were perfect. My first Frye purchase and I am very pleased with them. These are pretty true to size and extremely comfortable, I wear them almost every day and get compliments everywhere I go. I definitely recommend these adorable-yet-rustic boots!!

I bought the black/brown Veronica Slouch last year...and they were the most BEAUTIFUL boots! Because of the color you can wear then with black, brown, grey...everything seems to go! And they are comfortable right out of the box for me...and they just get better and more beautiful with wear. At first my heel would slip but it got better when I tightened the strap at the bottom. Solved that problem. I have purchased the pair in black now...I know, but I loved the others so much and they were so comfortable. That's a rare combo. I am not a person to do that either! These are spendy, but WELL worth the money. Only problem I had and no one else seems to have had is a couple months into wearing them the top buckles started to tear. They are not tight at ALL at the top and I am careful putting them, so not sure how it happened. I was kinda upset as they are a bit expensive for me...but Zappos helped me out as always. THEY ARE THE BEST! So, with the black pair I went and had the buckles reinforced. Enjoy yours!

When I first received these boots, I thought they were too small. After a day or so of looking at them, I decided to try wearing them around the house. I realized they were just stiff! As I wore them, they loosened up. I LOVE these boots. They’re beautiful and comfortable.

The most well made, comfortable, great looking boots I have ever purchased and believe me, I have a lot of boots! Well worth the price. You truly do get what you pay for! I bought a size 8 and it is true to size for me. Even fits the calves as I have "thick" ones! Sold out in my size at all the high end dept stores but found them on Zappos! I ordered these boots at 9:30pm and received them the very next day! Wow! Very impressed with customer service and speed of shipping. I will continue to be a repeat, loyal Zappos customer! Thanks!!!!

This boot is super cool. I get a lot of compliments on them. They are versatile. I read in previous reviews to get a half size up, but I did not follow advice. Glad I didn't. I usually wear an 8 in most brands and ordered and 8 and it fits perfectly. They are comfortable, no blisters, they are a little heavy though. Leather is of incredible quality. They can scuff easily in the toe area though, so be careful! I would buy another pair if I could afford to.

love these boots. i already had a pair of campus boots that i've worn probably 3-4 days a week for the past 2 years since i bought them, but thought i maybe needed something with a little hardware. when these first arrived, they felt a little weird; kinda snug in the toe area and loose in the heel. but i really liked the way they looked over a pair of jeans, so i just kept wearing them. the toe box issue has worked itself out, and the heel doesn't move around too much. i found that adding an insole with a little arch support helps, as does wearing two thin socks vs. one thick sock (which i do anyway, since apparently nobody makes thick socks in women's sizes anymore). the dark brown has a lovely, worn in sort of color variation.
