Nice for a short hike - I love the look of these shoes, but I was expecting a little more support. I wear these when I hike 4 and a half miles several times a week, and thought they have great traction, I wish they had more arch support. I'd buy them again, however, because they are a great alternative to runners for running errands.

OK shoe but pricey - These shoes are OK. I'm not wild about the look, there are other casual shoes I liked better but this accommodates custom orthotics and that is my first priority. They are fairly comfortable w/ my inserts, I did some walking and was fine. The bungee cord-type closure is OK but tends to loosen a little after wearing. Not a huge negative. Pretty good heel cup, also an issue for me so if you have narrow heels and need a deep heel cup these will work.

This shoe was very comfortable for me. My only problem was the lacing system? Too loose, too tight. Did not work for me. I also felt I needed a heel that was a little higher. I walk much better with a slight lift in the heel. Cute looks though. Zappos is the best on their return policy when you haven't worn the shoes. That part is pain free.

Very comfortable shoe! It is a bit larger than what I expected though! I would definitely buy another pair!!

Needs more arch support - I bought these bec. I have the Columbia sandals and love them, they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Unfortunately, these do no have that same wonderful cushiony in sole and good arch support, so they are not as comfortable. Also a little snug thru the toes. But otherwise kind of a cool looking shoes, and I wear them a lot bec. they are easy to get on and off with the elastic ties.

Can't quite get the tension on the bungee cord right - This trail shoe is very light, comfortable & looks great - I got lots of positive comments from people at the National Trail Symposium. But I'm still having trouble getting the tension just right on the bungee cord. The heel cup is quite wide, rounded and roomy and you have to draw the cord quite tight - I have a high instep and sometimes that is just too tight for comfort. They were great to travel and fly in - easy on and off and soooo comfy.

Comfort but not great fit - This shoe is comfortable, but getting a snug fit without tie up laces is tough. It's very light weight but rugged and actually quite feminine even though it is basically a hiker.

I wasn't too sure about this shoe when I first put it on. Felt really tight, but actually fits nicely to your foot. Easy to slip on and off. I have lots of trouble finding a comfortable shoe, but just hiked all over New Mexico with this shoe (after only wearing one day at home) and they are great!

Careful on rough terrain with these - I only had these shoes a few weeks when I wore them on a moderate trail - I didn’t realize at the time but the rocks on the trail cut the side of the suede on the outside of the shoe. You can see from the photo that the hard leather protector that covers the toe and heel does not cover the outside or inside of the foot...therefore the rocks were able to cut the shoe there & cause quite a bit of damage. I still wear them but...I wouldn't purchase this shoe again, since I feel this damage came from a flaw in design.
