I suffered a bimalleolar ankle fracture, and have eight screws and a metal plate in my ankle that will not be removed for many months yet. I have been looking for a pair of shoes that will support my ankles and provide a good cushion of support (I am a heavy woman and require good cushioning!). Initially the doctor wanted me to trade down from my calf high support boots (converse desert tactical boots was all I could find that would work at the time), to a mid/hi top tennis shoe. I could not find a mid/hi top that was comfortable, they all pressed against the metal plate on the exterior side of my ankle and it was unbearably painful. I opted to stay in my boots until I could find a great pair of regular walking shoes. These Saucony Omni Walkers are perfect! I was so afraid that my ankle would not get enough support, but these shoes hold your foot and ankle in place without making you feel like you are in a vice. They provide superior cushioning as is, and provide a very stable walking gait for me. I still limp a bit due to the major problems with the dislocation and break having really wracked up my tenodons and ligaments. However the comfort the shoe provides is better than any shoe I have ever worn. I hate wearing shoes period, as I am barefoot gal,- but I have been able to stay in these for full 12 to 14 hour days without wanting to take them off. They are amazing and just the right shoe for me! I wear a size 6.5 wide, and that is what I ordered. Even with the swelling that still occurs in my ankle, these shoes fit true to size for me. Any else recovering from an ankle fracture will probably benefit from these shoes.

The Best - I was amazed when I tried this shoe on. It was the most comfortable shoe ever, right out of the box. Good support and good looks, too. I have problems getting comfortable shoes and wear orthotics in my athletic shoes. These fit the bill for comfort and adaptability since the insole can be removed. I ordered several brands to try, but this was "it" as soon as I put it on. Thanks for the good service, too.

Super Comfortable - I have this shoe in white and wanted a black pair. This shoe has excellent arch support and I don't have to wear orthotics in this shoe. I have a wide foot and this shoe fits great. Wish Saucony made all their shoes available in wide sizes. This is a great shoe.

Very nice - I was kind of nervous, since this shoe is a little narrower in the toe box than previous walker models in this brand. I've worn it several times, and it's fine. A really light, good shoe for walking. Zappos service was excellent, as usual. Great shoe, great service. Life is good.

New Favorite - You can't beat these shoes for comfort & support. I walk about 15 miles a week, and in the past have had trouble with the tendons in my feet. I've been wearing another brand for the past several years but I decided to try these after reading the reviews. I'm really glad I did. Like most athletic shoes, they're sized 1/2 size larger than regular shoes. These are definitely my new favorites!

Love these shoes! Finally! Total comfort! I love these shoes! I am on my feet all day long and can honestly say these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned! I love Zappos and I now love Saucony shoes!

The GREAT white shoe - I think this is the greatest shoe that I have purchased yet. I have used Zappos for a couple of years. Great place to shop where else can you order shoes and send them back with free shipping. The Saucony Grid Omni walker is one of the better shoes that I have purchased. It is true to size and very comfortable. I put these on and away I went. No problems no discomfort. I tend to walk on the outside of my shoes and this shoe really helps to correct this problem. I highly recommend.

Very Comfy!! These are very comfortable. I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes due to wearing steel toed shoes for over 20 years. These are great; I wore them shopping all day yesterday and my feet felt great. Some reviewers said they were sized small, others said they were true to size, so I went in the middle (1/2 size larger than I would normally order), and am very satisfied. I would buy these again, worth every penny for comfort!

Stability, supportive & kind of cute! Fits very well to size. Takes my orthotic insert perfectly. Does a good job on absorbing impact with hill walking here in San Francisco. Visually very nice looking and are lighter than some other brands. Have only been using for four weeks, but will see how well they hold up.

My Favorite Shoe - I love the Saucony brand & wear them exclusively. I do wonder though about the quality anymore as they don't seem to last as long (I do work in a cafe as many as 8 or 9 hours a day) & they are the most comfortable shoe I own.

Enjoying the Comfort! I love to walk for my exercise routine; therefore, I must have a very comfortable walking shoe. I have a wide foot and was delighted that Zappos offered such a great selection. Saucony's Grid Omni Walker meets all my needs, especially where comfort is concerned. I would like it if the shoe maybe had a little more color or design but, to me, being able to walk at least two miles for my routine and feel no discomfort in my feet is the main issue.

Save This Style - I wear sneakers all the time. I wish I could wear them when I dress up. I have a bad back and have had a heel spur. My shoes have to feel good all over. The Saucony Grid Omni Walker, as long as I can find them, are my new best friend. They feel great, look nice and surport my feet and legs and back. ***** 5 stars.

No more Achilles or plantar fascia pain! This is my 3rd pair of Grid Omni Walker's and they are well worth the money. Why my third pair? I run 5 times a week and after 4-6 months, it's time for new cushions. They are true to size - my 8.5 is the same as my dress shoe size. I had trouble for a few years with Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis. NO more with these shoes and Superfeet inserts. They proved excellent arch support to reduce those 2 other use issues. Some mornings I get up and put them on with my pajamas! My feet are so much happier in these shoes. They are more than walking shoes - I run in them and wear them to the gym, with plenty of lateral support for weight training and exercise classes. As always, Zappos gives great service at a good price.

Great walking shoe - I really like the shoe. Very stable and comfortable. Nice roomy toe-box which Saucony are known for. It looks big, but is definitely worth wearing.

Comfort Zone - These shoe are great,especially if you have bunions or other foot problems.

Saucony's grid Omni walker wide - I needed a walking shoe that was sturdier for winter than a mesh running shoe would provide. I tried the Saucony's grid in size wide 8 1/2. I have a lot of trouble finding shoes since my feet are square shaped and a size D. I also have hammer toes and extremely high arches. These shoes offered comfort and support of my high arches. I do wear a custom orthotic in these shoes. They have a wide and deep toe box and I can wear them all day with no problems.

Comfy shoe - I was looking for a shoe that would accommodate an orthotic if necessary and would also provide a lot of support in the heel & arch. I ordered 2 different pairs and felt like the Saucony was much more what I was looking for. This shoe is very comfortable (even with a bone spur). My only disappointment was that I had to order a 1/2 size larger than normal as the toe box seemed very small on one foot and the shoe felt short. I returned the 1st pair - so easy, and ordered a new pair that night which arrived the next day (their shipping is SOOOO incredible). The credit for the 2 pairs I returned also came back quickly! After just having foot surgery to remove the bone spur, it is taking some adjustment to wear shoes again, but the overall support & cushioning feels great. I'm not even sure I will have to get orthotics again for pronation if they continue to be so supportive. My daughter says I need to get a shoe w/ some color, but since I'll be wearing them to work for a few weeks while recovering, I think they are just perfect. Thanks Zappos! I picked these shoes online months ago; what began as a possible birthday gift, then anniversary gift, finally became a Christmas gift. The shoes are awesome. I wear a 7 1/2 and ordered such and they are true to size. I wanted these shoes for an upcoming trip to Italy and I’ve worn them every day since Christmas day and they are awesome. Very comfortable, light but sturdy with great soles. I think they will meet my expectations exactly. A practical, yet stylish way to tread cobblestones. Great Shoes and Great Service - I checked with Consumer Reports for walking shoes and they recommended the Saucony Grid Omni Walker. I couldn't find them in the surrounding area so I check on internet and found Zappos web site. I am 65, have had both knees replaced and had back surgery on July 2. The doctor recommended walking and exercise for my therapy so I wanted to get the best walking shoes available. I am not one to order online. I was amazed at the outstanding service and was shocked when I received them the following day. I highly recommend Zappos. Thanks

The best walking shoe ever! This is the first time I tried Saucony and I am so pleased with this shoe. It has everything I need for a good walking shoe. The fit is perfect and they are so comfortable. They are great for walking through a little water too as they are pretty water resistant. Love 'em!

Saucony Grid Omni Walker W - Before I forget...Zappos is terrific. Great selection and purchase/return process-kudos to you. I am quite happy with this Saucony and will buy it again. I have a wide width. I've learned it is best to order w/w & a half size up. I put in between 5-6 walk/run miles a day (56yrs old) and use an insert and an extra inner sole. Because none of these shoes have sufficient cushioning. My toes seemed without it to grab and then really hurt and get blisters. Granted these devices make up for the 1/2 size larger but I found other shoes just didn't have enough room up front. Also, some other Saucony's I notice the tongue is getting shorter-what's with that? This one you can tie your laces and still grab enough of the tongue to pull it up. With the jury-rigging it is very comfortable, the heel stays in place (mine is narrow) and again I will buy again.
