A couple problems -
Love Propét. My favorite shoe is no longer made. I bought two pairs and should have bought a case. This shoe felt like it was a half size too big. I like wearing it, but I'm cautious with hiking in them. The lacing is always a bit of a production as well. Don't wear them if you're shopping for clothes; you'll add an extra fifteen minutes just putting the shoes on and off, but they’re real good wide width shoes. I like the brand.

The shoes felt wider than I thought, normally take a size 12, I ended up returning two pairs until I settled with a size 11. Very little arch support. I was able to correct this problem with arch supports.

EEE -
I have wide feet, and shopping for shoes is usually a big pain in the butt. On Zappos shopping was easy. The Cliff Walkers are very comfortable; I wear them to work, and for hiking and my feet are happy. The laces are too long. I cut them shorter. Lacing is much easier now. I like these and would say get your self a pair.

Sizing -
Overall a comfortable shoe, when sizing go 1/2 size smaller. Work in a wood shop, great traction on dusty floors, yet I don't pick up pebbles and bring them in the house as the sole has relatively small treads.

Great for walking on cliffs -
Shoes were just the ticket for walking around in wet weather. Only negative was that my feet tend to sweat more in these shoes. All told, I’m very satisfied.

Good, sturdy, stylish boot.
I bought these for my new winter boot. They have good traction for the Colorado snow and gravel. They keep my feet warm and dry. Propet has a perfect size for my big and wide foot. 13 5E. The fit is near perfect, hugs my foot just right, not too tight, not too loose.

Comfort clunkathon -
Built to last but looks it. Good workingman's shoes. Photo doesn't do justice to the bulbous toes.

I recently bought these shoes for my husband who is 6'8" and over 600lbs. He claims that they are very comfortable, the top of the shoe could use more support and that a slip resistant sole would be nice. That said, he loves them! It is extremely difficult to find shoes in his size and even harder to find shoes that fit right out of the box, and these were both. We will see how long they hold up.

Just what I needed -
Very top of the shoe rubs on the ankle, but otherwise comfortable and a good fit. A nice workboot.

Using this as a work boot -
My husband doesn't need a heavy duty work boot or steel toe, but is on his feet and walking all day around maintenance and construction sites. He likes the fit, a true 13 the EE is the step up from the regular width. Being a hiker, it's got good support (his heels kill him if not) and the sole is stiff enough to support him on ladders and on uneven surfaces (he's a big guy). Under these circumstances he gets about 6mos before the structure of the heels breaks down, but the surface of the boot holds up really well.

Propet Cliff Walker -
I needed a good hiking boot for work, and I really liked the look of the Cliff Walker. I was a little leery about the lower cost of these boots, but decided to give them a try. Good choice! They were comfortable from the first time I put them on, and didn't exacerbate an existing foot problem I have. I definitely recommend them.

Well built shoe/boot but toe box was too small. I tried 3E width but still uncomfortable. Width is just too wide for me.

I've tried several other brands, and while several were well made, none had a satisfactory toe box.

The sole is a bit thick, so I feel a that much taller in these shoes. It is quite roomy inside since the shoe has a certain shape which is pretty solid, rather than allowing one to pull the shoelaces to wrap the shoe around your foot more tightly. still, I like the way it looks and I purposely chose this size versus getting a smaller tighter fit.

These were the widest shoe that I have ever purchased. I take a wide shoe, but it was almost too wide. I had to put another insole in them to make them work.

I've worn them about a month now and with my wide feet, the 9-1/2 3E are comfortable with enough room for a second pair of thick socks for added insulation when needed. Be warned, the factory insoles and laces are just not good. The insoles are flat and thin, the laces stretched and unraveled the first time I put the boots on - and 62 inch laces on a hiking boot? Seriously? I replaced them with a pair of 54s and that's plenty long enough. Also, the lace retaining loop on the tongue is sewn in one eyelet too high to be useful - it's not between the last two D rings, it's between the last D ring and the first hook, essentially defeating the purpose of the hooks in the first place. Re-lacing the boots with new, decent laces and bypassing the retaining loops makes a world of difference, as did adding a pair of Dr. Scholl's gel inserts. While they're plenty comfortable now, I can only rate these at 3 out of 5. If Propet would fix a few simple issues at the factory, these would rate an easy 5 out of 5 for their price range. I'd still recommend them to others but with the caveat of "plan on spending extra for better insoles and laces."

My foot was swimming in the boot, even though it is the same size as I always order for Rockports. Which made for a very uncomfortable fit.

This is the 2nd pair I have owned of this shoe, the 1st lasted only 3 months before the soles were trashed. I'm a UPS driver and I use these for work, I walk a lot but I feel they should have lasted longer. I thought the insole that came with them to be poor, but an aftermarket pair fixed that. I bought a 2nd pair because I found out they are warranted 1000 miles or 6 months but you have to register them, which I didn't do for the first pair. We'll see what happens to them and if Propet stands behind them. A positive note is that there was no break-in period; they were comfy out of the box.

I got these today, and they look nice but as I expected, you get what you pay for! I wouldn't use these to do any hiking or to do cliff walking. The sole just doesn't have the tread for walking around cliffs. You might find yourself sliding off of a cliff! Not much padding on the inside of the boot and not much cushioning for the bottom of the foot. They look nice on the website but the quality isn't there. I can see these boots would not last long with the type of materials used...If you are looking for a cheap boot; this is probably it for you. For me, I like comfort and quality made boots. These don't have it and don't do it for me. This is my review and hope it helps someone. These will go back along with the other pair of Propet I got. I can mark these off my list!

This boot is basically a flat board inside on the bottom. It's true that there is good room inside the toe box, soft leather, etc. Another thing is that the sole is really quite hard with very little shock absorbing ability. I immediately decided to return them. For those not that athletic in their movements, who simply need a good wide platform, and arch support is not an big issue, as in using your own orthotics, it is fine. And not bad looking, soft comfortable leather. It is longer than marked.

Oversized loose in sole -
I liked the style and construction. However, the fit was a full size larger as was the width. My biggest issue is the insole which keeps slipping out of place causing enough discomfort that I have to repeatedly take them off to readjust.
My first and last pair of Propét. I much prefer the Dunham line.

Way bigger than size would suggest.
These boots are enormous. The size 13 in a 5E is way longer than I expected. They are also very high inside so if you need a lot of space in that direction then these could be the boots for you. Not for me though. They're a smart looking boot but I'm going to have to try for something else.

Size and width is not dependable -
I like the look of this boot but could not find a size or width that fit. I normally wear a 12 extra wide. The Propét size 12 was much too large for my 11 3/4 inch long and 4 1/2 inch wide feet. I tried sizes 12 - 11.5 and 11. I could not try the 10.5 because Zappos was out of stock.
