These are nice boots but they are far too narrow considering they are marked as having been 5E. I have a wide foot but 5E should have easily accommodated the width. They are well padded and feel very supportive to your foot. I am disappointed that they didn't fit. I think they would have been a very comfortable boot for everyday wear and definitely for hiking. Oh well, you win some and you lose some.

I have wide feet. Local stores no longer carry wide sizes. That's why I buy online. I have had Propet shoes in the past and liked them. These simply did not fit the stated size (10 1/2) or width(5E). Too small and too narrow.

NOT up to Propet standards. The leather isn't high quality and even though it was true to size, it stretched badly after one wearing and looks like it won't last. The loop on the tongue to hold the laces is way too high, and it makes you capture one of the temporary eyelets which means you MUST take lots of care to lace them up because the laces come off those eyelets and you must put them back-a real pain! The finger loop on the back is so small it is completely USELESS! I have NO idea why it is so small, the other three pairs of Propet hiking boots had large finger pulls to help get the shoe on, and not even my wife can insert her finger in this tiny loop. Therefore, i need either a shoe horn, unlace a lot of the boot, or bend in the back of the boot and reach in and pull it back out. i do NOT like these at all, they also make your feet sweat even now in the winter with high quality cotton socks. Once on, they are comfortable, but these are NOT of the high quality and excellent design that Propet has always delivered in shoes/boots. To me it seems they had a cheap china plant contract manufacture them. i will not buy another, and only bought these because they no longer offered the other hikers in a wide.

I liked the style of these boots and was excited that it came in 3E. I have to agree with another review in that the boot was larger all over. The toe width was great but the rest of the boot was large also. I tightened up the laces and it felt like the boot was pulling on my heel. It might be better for a larger foot? Also the heel area was not comfortable. I returned them right after trying them on.

I've been wearing these for years but had to send the last batch back. Putting the one I ordered on the table, sole to sole with my last pair, the new one has got to be half an inch narrower. Apparently they're made in a China now. They must not believe anyone can really have feet this wide. I only wanted to rate comfort. Since I couldn't bear to get it on I couldn't very well assess arch support.

Forget Propet. I've always liked SAS but they don't make a good hiking boot.

They are a comfortable shoe but the only problem I have is on wet sidewalks or wet tile floors they have absolutely no grip whatsoever.

This is absolutely the most poorly constructed pair of boots I've ever seen! Right out of the box, the first time lacing them, a rivet on both boots began pulling out of the leather.

Boots are comfortable. However it stops there. The person who designed these must wear loafers or use Velcro straps on their shoes. The lacing up of these boots can only be described as extremely non-user friendly! Laces are over 2 feet too long, did not last two weeks before fraying and become totally useless and needed to be replaced. IF I were to recommend these boots to anyone, I would suggest throwing the supplied laces away upon arrival and go to Walmart for correct sized laces. For the price paid-replacing the laces to fit as well as the eyelet configuration is a bit disappointing!

5 and 6E width and the strong vulcanized joint between sole and upper are the only good things about Propet. The shoes are way overpriced. They come apart after only a month on the job. The laces disintegrate just from normal use. The insoles are loose within the shoe and I finally had to remove the right one because it kept sliding up the back of my heel. The soles are slippery when wet, if you step on smooth concrete prepare to skate. There are vertical seams on the sides that split within a few months. Propet should make a one piece upper for the price. I really like the Chippewa brand, but couldn't get them wide enough to compensate for the hard toe they now insist on putting in all their work shoes. My Chippewas lasted two years. The uppers are intact and the soles are still not completely worn through.
