These are very short, so they don’t accommodate taller feet very well. In addition, after the first time he got them wet the canvas shrunk badly, and that was the end of these shoes — we could not stretch them back to shape. (I suspect we could have with a kid-sized shoe stretcher, but I don’t own one and it’s not worth it to save a $35 pair of sneakers)

Super cute shoes but my daughter couldn't even get her foot in fully. Way too narrow! I had to return them and will most likely buy next size up.

A lot of reviewers have suggested that these shoes run large. I ordered my 6-year-old's regular size and a half-size smaller and could not get her foot into either. I was able to get the shoes on her feet with great difficulty by sizing up a half-size. I realize these shoes stretch with wear but I don't think they're likely to work for a lot of younger children.

These shoes are super cute but my daughter could not get them on her feet. She has narrow feet so that wasn’t the problem. They are so stiff that it is nearly impossible to get them on without a shoehorn. We got them on once and they gave her a blister within about 10 minutes. I wish they had worked cause they are adorable but sadly they just didn’t.

Just received these for my daughter. I took note from the reviews and ordered a half size down thinking that would be good, but unfortunately, my daughter couldn't even get her foot in it. I am going to size up to her normal size now and see, hope they fit!

it is extremely difficult for my 12 year old to put them on. she can barely squeeze into them and that is her size. once the foot is in they a pretty nice.

We tried two different sizes (they do seem to run small) but they are too difficult to get on. The opening must be very small as other reviewers have mentioned. We love the way they look and they're comfortable once they're on, but we're sending them back as it took both parent and child wrestling the shoe on for a while just to wear them.

Such a cute shoe but my daughter could not get her feet in them. I agree with other reviewers that something is wrong with the elastic portion of the shoe. These are supposed to be slip ons but we battled with them to get my daughters feet in even though it was the right size. Too bad because we loved them. Had to return them.

These are cute and good quality shoes that I ordered for my daughters to wear with summer dresses to dance parties, concerts etc. We ordered them in size smaller because reviews said they ran big. I also ordered their normal sizes just in case. We returned the smaller sizes and kept their normal sizes. However, my older daughter (size 4) has to fight with them to even get them on her foot. Once on, they feel great she says. My younger daughter (size 12) we fought to get them on the first time we tried them on. I kept them thinking they would break in and loosen up. However, we have fought with them several times to try to get them on and still have not been able to get them on. I've stretching them but nothing has worked.

The soles of these shoes fell off the second day that my daughter wore them!

Went up a full size and still nearly impossible to get on my skinny four year old’s narrow foot. Super cute but just a no.

This is our first time trying on this style shoe and they were so tight across the top my daughter could not even get them on - although the length seemed about right. She was very disappointed because they were so cute. So not for a child with even a slightly high arch. (she can fit into other brands/styles of slip-ons)

These were sooooo cute, but sadly the opening was so tight that we could barely get my daughter’s foot inside the shoe. Ordered a size up and had the exact same problem. I asked around and some friends said their kids report that the slip on style does run very tight but loosens a bit with wear. We decided to return because I don’t think it would be worth the battle to get them on. Bummer, such a classic look

Too tight and hard to put on

These were cute. I ordered a half size smaller because I expected them to run big, but they seemed to run true to size. They were too small for my daughter, so I'm returning.

The correct size for my daughter was impossible to get on. One size up was way too big. These are great looking shoes but the fit is terrible.

I purchased these shoes for my 7 year old. I bought a half size larger because kids grow out of shoes so fast. Sadly the top stretch portion of this she does not stretch well. My daughter wears a normal size, she does not need a wide however, we were not able to get her foot past the top "tongue" part. These were adorable, the flowers even have a bit of sparkle that you don't see from the picture but sadly we had to return since we could not even get them on. I would recommend trying this shoe on before purchasing.

I love VANS I use to wear these back in the day and it's fun to see these are back for our kids now. However...our 6 year old found these hard to get on and off. Sadly had to return do to that.

Yep, they're big. Get a size smaller. I wear a size 7.5 women's shoe and my daughter wears a 4. I ordered size 4 in these shoes and they fit ME. They looked like boats on her. I returned them a while ago - still not seeing the credit on my account. Seems a bit slow this time around.
