My daughter loves the design of the shoe and the size fits her.

Surprisingly, the pair we ordered actually ran very small so we had to get on a waiting list because the size I thought she needed was out of stock. She wears a little kid size 12.5-13 in most brands of tennis shoes, all dress shoes, and all boots, but a size 1 in Nike (which tend to run small, and I can say this has always been the case for all five of our kids). The return process was seamless and I totally had to guess on the size I should order since she couldn't even get her foot in the 13.5. (I originally thought I was ordering a little on the large size so she'd have room to grow, but they were far too small.) I nailed it when I ordered a size 1.5 as they fit her perfectly! She doesn't have a ton of room for growth but if I'd ordered a 2 it's obvious her heel would be slipping out. Anyhow, although my sizing experience varied tremendously from others' reviews (and I did measure her foot on the paper as directed...both feet...twice!), I must admit these are just the most adorable shoes and she doesn't want to take them off! They've been very comfortable for her, didn't require any break-in time, and the metallic checkerboard matches everything without being obnoxious and drawing a ton of attention. I'm still on a waiting list for our 10yo's Old Skools which have yet to come in and have a lot of people waiting for them, but we bought three other pairs of Vans, a pair of Nike tennis shoes, and a brown pair of Clarks dress shoes for my husband. My experience with Zappos has been nothing short of wonderful! And the Vans I've received have been fantastic as well! They are well made and I expect they'll outlast her need (as her feet will grow faster than she'll wear out the shoe). Extremely satisfied customer! (For reference, our 15yo already had a pair of Old Skools which were purchased at our local Vans store so we already knew what size to get her. I bought her two different sizes of the slip-ons and returned the larger size. For her size, they tend to run more true to size than the little kid shoes.) My review may not be much help and may confuse people as far as sizing goes, but I learned the hard way that I should've ordered at least one full size larger for the little kid shoe, even after following the instructions to measure her foot on paper and compare it to a size chart for Vans. Odd, but that method didn't work for us. A fantastic, awesome shoe though! Love that the Vans have made their way back in style. If (when) I order Vans again, I'll either have our daughter try them on in our local Vans store so I know I'm ordering the right size OR I'll take advantage of Zappos AMAZING return policy and just order 3-4 different sizes to be sure I have the right size on hand, won't need to wait a month (or more) past the date the gift is given, and return the others as soon as we figure out the perfect size. Please, Zappos, don't ever change your return policy!

Cute shoe!! For a slip on these are great they actually stay on their feet. Will be ordering same shoe in different colors!!

Cute but runs small and they are hard to put on. My 5 year old is size 10.5/11 and I had to size up to 11.5. She loves it but still needs my help to put it on.

My daughter loved the color and style. She has a larger foot and had a hard time getting her foot into the shoe. Getting it in the shoe gets better each time she wears them.

My daughter couldn’t get her one foot into the size 11 toddler so we sized up to the 12, which is too big but we are keeping anyway. She’ll use them soon enough but wish they came in 1/2 sizes.

I ordered the flip sequins style for my daughter for Christmas after much searching for a style in her size. I ordered her regular shoe size (big kids 4). She loved them, but couldn't even get her foot in it. I'm guessing the sequins made the difference. I appreciate how easy the return process is.

My Granddaughter received these for Christmas. She loves the Slip-on Vans in general, but these are extra special due to the sequins and the fact that she can change up her look at anytime. If you are a fan of Vans, you will LOVE these!!!

Great sneakers. Vans are always a classic. Order a size up from your normal size. My daughter LOVES these. She’s between a 2 and a 3 so we sized up. She can wear both sizes in Vans but has room to grow in the 3s

My 5 y/o struggled to get these on by herself (which is a must at this age for her) so we have to return them. She did think they were really cute though.

THESE SHOES WERE IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OVER MY DAUGHTER'S FEET. The length is correct for her, but she literally could not pull them over her feet. They are incredibly narrow. Have to send back.

My son's favorite color is "rainbow" -- do you know how hard it is to find boy sneakers with rainbow colors on them? Anyway, I found these and showed him the picture and he loved them. Ordered a 11.5 for him (he is currently wearing 11 in Nike/Saucony) and they arrived super fast and fit with a bit of room to spare. The 11 would've fit the same as the Nike/Saucony so I'd say only go up a 1/2 size if you want a bit more room to grow.
