This is the second pair of Keen Austins I have purchased and they are my favorite shoes. Very comfortable and eye catching. In fact I spotted these shoes on a man in a rest stop while I was travelling and that is how I got hooked on them. I am ordering some for my son for Christmas. Zappos is a wonderful shoe source.

Love these! Very comfy right out of the box with great arch support. I usually can\'t wear shoes without removing the inserts and adding my own arch supports, but these were perfect without them.

Very comfortable out of the box. They really do fit and feel like a shoe version of my Keen sandals (which are a summer staple). The style is a bit less conservative than my other shoes, so are not great for a business casual office. Great weekend/knock-around shoes. I can easily imagine how these would be a great travel shoe (as other reviewers have commented).

My husband needed some comfortable shoes for a planned trip to Europe. This was his first pair of Keens and he was buying them on my recommendation. He is very happy with them. We did a lot of walking and they were very comfortable for all moderate terrain, and very good on the cobblestone streets of Europe. He normally wears a size 12 and did not have to up a size. As always, Zappos had the shoes on our front porch the next day. And for shoes like Keens that aren't necessarily mainstream, Zappos is a great way to shop because of the good selection of styles and colors and the almost instantaneous delivery.

These shoes are great! I decided to purchase these a few days before a trip to Scotland. I took them out of the box, and they fit perfectly. No need to order up or down, just order your shoe size. They provided wonderful support for the entire 14 days I wore them, 14 straight days of only these shoes. I never once felt uncomfortable; no "breaking in" period, just a great fit from the start to the end. Worth the price for sure!

I purchased these for my husband who suffers with peripheral neuropathy. He has to be very careful with his choice of shoes so there is no chance of sores to his feet. Because he has stability issues also, I thought Keens would be a perfect solution. I have a pair of the same shoes and have had no more foot problems when wearing them, especially no pronation. This shoe has been a perfect match for my husband, addressing most all of his foot issues and allowing him to once again be able to walk without falls, sores, or pain! Anyone suffering from diabetes, pronation, weak ankles, etc. should consider this shoe as a fashionable alternative to other designs. Orthopedic inserts are no problem due to the roomy shoe, especially the toe box.

I bought these because I was taking a two-week vacation to Australia and didn\'t have any walking-around-all-day shoes. I ordered them four days before I left, and I was a little concerned because I wasn\'t really going to have time to try them out or break them in before I left. Not normally a smart thing to have done, but I needn\'t have worried in this case. These shoes fit great, right out of the box, and feet never felt tired wearing them. I did, in fact, wear them for two weeks straight while I was on vacation (they were the only shoes I brought with me), and both they and I held up well.\r\n\r\nI like the styling on these, and they have become my go-to casual shoes. They do have the typical Keen styling with the relatively wide toes, but I think it works for these.

Yay! I love Keen Austins. This is my third pair, and I doubt I'll ever buy anything else as long as these are still in production. The Austin, like all Keens, have a very nice wide toe for people with wide feet, like myself. These shoes are the most comfortable, accommodating shoes I've ever put on. I just love them more than I can describe. Keen's are durable, American made, and roomy. Worth every penny!

These shoes are awesome! I got these the day before I went on a camping trip in South Dakota. I wore them to hike in Badlands National Park and at Devil's Tower. They fit perfectly from the moment I put them on. I had no chafing on my heels the way I do with most shoes. There is plenty of room for my toes (which is great because I have some toe issues). These shoes were simply the best fitting, most comfortable pair of shoes that I've ever bought!

I really enjoy these shoes. They have a distinct look that goes well with jeans or other casual clothing. \r\n\r\nThey are also very comfortable. They provide good structural support, specially for the sole of the foot, without feeling rigid. They are pretty light in weight and can be worn all day long. They are true to size so there is no need to order higher or lower size. They accommodate feet that are slightly wider than normal well. Overall a very nice pair of shoes.

The shoes are great, The price was right. Shipment was very fast. I couldn\'t be more pleased with the service rendered.

This is really the Swiss army knife of shoes. It is rugged, good-looking, subtle, comfortable and very well priced. I wore a pair for two years although I'd really recommend not doing that. I definitely recommend pulling out the Keen insole and replacing it with something more comfortable. With that, you should be able to walk to the moon. I've found with these Keen Austins that I need only pack my running shoes as these serve as a general-purpose shoe and also a business-friendly shoe (definitely wouldn't wear them to anything terribly formal, of course, but meetings and such, sure).Finally, the newer model feels a bit improved as the shoelaces are more durable (some sort of nylon webbing instead of big cotton braiding) and the sole seems different.Simply a great shoe.

Zappos is awesome! I ordered these shoes a while ago and the day I ordered them I got an email stating that they bumped my shipping up at no charge. The next day I was in these, talk about service! The shoe itself is freaking amazing. My friend turned me on to Keens. So i picked up a pair of the Newports at a local retail store (they were on sale) and, man, never in my life have I had a shoe that was like walking on a marshmallow while at the same time being extremely durable and supportive. My only real beef with them is that the shoe laces aren't that long, but it's not really a problem. I'm just used to "gym shoes" that have longer than normal laces.

These are very comfortable shoes. The arch support is spot on for my feet (high, but not overly hard), the toe box is amazing (larger than your average toe box), and the quality, while too early to say for certain, seems high enough to last a long time. If you have arch problems, or need a lot of support like I do, then these are an excellent choice.

These are great shoes. I've been looking for a shoe to replace my very well worn Juneaus, which Keen does not make any more. I wanted a nice black leather shoe without all the insulation of the Juneaus (read: better for summer :). I actually ordered about 6 pairs from all different manufacturers, but as I suspected Keen just makes the best shoes. These need to be broken in a bit. It's nice that my orthotics fit, but it does cause a snugger fit, especially to put on. My feet are not the same size so the left is a bit less comfortable with the tongue rubbing the front of my ankle a bit. A little on-the-foot adjustment and a few minutes of walking makes that settle down. I can wear these shoes standing for hours and they still feel great. The style, color (black) and look are perfect.

I'm not into shoes. I buy one pair and wear them every day for everything until they are worn out. This is my 3rd or 4th pair of this exact shoe (though I did go crazy and change up the color this time!). They are sturdy enough for hiking, and dressy enough for any meeting I go to. I usually buy them from REI, but this time my secretary said "Try Zappos!" Everything came as promised. Shoelaces were a little short, so I swapped them out from an old pair. It's all good!

These shoes fit great and are very light. Keens are about all I wear now. I have wide feet and these shoes are shaped like a person’s foot. Easy to keep clean and the toe protector is a good feature in my line of work, truck parts sales. The sole started to separate on my first pair shortly after I started to wear them. Zappos return process couldn't be easier. Had my replacement pair the next day and dropped the defective pair off at the UPS store. I call that service!!!

These are excellent shoes. They're durable, yet light enough not to make it feel like bricks are attached to your legs by the end of the day. Like other Keens I've worn, these feel like they're broken in out of the box. These are easily one of those most comfortable pairs of shoes I've ever owned. My only complaint is that the sole on the first pair of Austins I ordered came unglued from the upper after a few weeks. Zappos replaced them immediately.
