I love these shoes - they are comfortable and durable and versatile. I have worn them for the past 5 or 6 years. My only complaint is that the toebox does not seem as wide as it used to be on the mens 10.5 size.

These are my first pair of Keens. I ordered these along with a Merrell and a Born on the recommendation of my orthopedic specialist due to some foot pain I'm dealing with. These were the best of the three in arch support and heel stability. I have very tall arches and these shoes feel full and supportive under the arch, which is a rare find. I also tend to pronate and the heel box of this shoe is very secure and solid feeling. The heel height feels lower -- possibly due to the extra arch support -- making the shoe feel geared toward a mid-foot strike. The advantage of this is less impact on the knees and hips while walking. The toe box is a little extra-wide and roomy, and the length of the shoe is true to size.

I have owned three Austins, they are nicest shoe to hate that I know of. They are great, all day shoes, fit nice, never hurt, and wear out or blow out quickly. Each of my three pairs failed in different ways, glue, sewing, and cracked. I suggest you look elsewhere as these shoes are great to wear but do not hold well.

I have worn my black Keen Austin's for about a year now and I'm quite happy with the shoe. I've worn these shoes everywhere - they go with everything but my suits, fit well, and they are just beginning to show some wear on the heel. They look pretty good whether they are shined, brushed, scuffed, or left alone so you can take your choice of care. Expect plenty of toe-room from these Keens. Because they have a solid heel and a broad base, you won't turn your ankle stepping off a curb. The laces reach down to your forefoot so that you can get a good fit. I rate them as great city shoes, good travel kicks, and fine casual footware, especially if you want good support. The only drawback I have found is that they are not waterproof. Heres a trick: When I received them I applied a coat of carnauba paste wax to strengthen the leather. I think the uppers will last forever.

Great shoe for walking and traveling - I was planning on doing a bit of extended traveling and needed a shoe that would be able to take a lot of abuse, but still be versatile enough to work in most settings. This shoe exceeded my expectations. After it got broken in, the shoe was very comfortable (I recommend buying some padded soles), and put up with a lot of wear and tear. The waterproof toe section came in very handy. Highly recommended.

So comfortable and stylish! I love Keen and have worn their shoes for years. This is the first time I tried the Austin shoe and I LOVE it. It's very comfortable and has a lot of support. I am a woman and have to buy Keen men's shoes as the women's styles don't come large enough to fit and I also have orthotics. My orthotics fit perfectly with the insole left in the shoe for extra support. This shoe is sporty, and like a lot of the Keen shoes, is androgynous in style.

Most comfortable shoe I have ever worn - Before finding the Keen Austin, I could not wear the same shoe style two days in a row without getting sore feet. After wearing this shoe, I hardly wear anything else. Just got my third Austin and hope they never drop this shoe from their lineup. You have to replace their short shoe strings.

Keens are the best. I wear mine everywhere: to the office, to walking my dogs, and through any kind of weather. These shoes always keep my feet warm and dry. Zappos was great in getting them to me in a very short amount of time. Thanks.

My winter alternative - I pretty much only wear Sanuks on a regular basis. However, living in Minnesota and dealing with our winters, Sanuks just won’t do. These Keens are very comfortable and not too bad a price. I ordered a half a size up and am good to go.

For many months I had been searching for the perfect boots that looked great with jeans. I’ve been to many shoe stores, department stores, and online stores, but was only disappointed. I had to return all my online purchases until I saw this one. The quality of the boots are very well reflected by its high price tag. They really look high end. I love to just cross my legs and show them off. The color looks great with jeans and they are comfortable, too. I did not feel any discomfort even wearing them all night long at a club. I especially love the style and the feeling that I am wearing the right shoes.

My husband LOVES this shoe!! I had bought my husband his first pair of Keen sandals this summer and he wanted to wear them all the time - even in the winter. He really loves the comfort of Keens. I saw this shoe in our local shoe store and tried to buy for Christmas but they did not have his size. I searched on the internet and found Zappos - The price was cheaper and found that they would ship free of charge. I ordered this shoe and the next day I received. I could not believe it - WHAT SERVICE!! I was impressed. My husband opened this gift and was very excited for a closed toe pair of Keens (to keep his feet much warmer). They are very comfortable and fit his foot so well as he has a little wider foot. I don't think he will ever go back to another brand of shoe. Good JOB Keen and Zappos!!! I will be back again for another order in the near future!

Can't go wrong with Keens! In 4 years of buying Keens, every pair has been awesome! Consistent in size and quality, easy to purchase and wear without a hitch! Runs a size larger than other brands, but consistently so!

AMAZING - I have discovered Keen's about four months ago and already have purchased two pairs for myself and one pair for my boyfriend. We are both ecstatic. I've recommended these shoes to at least a dozen of friends 6 of whom I KNOW bought them and wear them religiously. It just has to be the most amazing shoe (comfort and style wise that I've ever had) I wear them with skirts, pants, hiking, excursive and work (I work in a professional environment). I can keep raving about them forever. The only thing that I notice is that I am a size 8 and size 7 was perfect for me. My boyfriend is size 11 and size 10 was perfect for him. We both had to exchange them for one size smaller. I would suggest just going a full size smaller than your reg. size.

Great comfort - I was again amazed by the shipping speed at Zappos. It's a pleasure to order through this company. The Kean Austin is a great shoe with lots of comfort. I have had them about 1 week and now choose this shoe over other brands in my closet. I feel I could walk all day without any discomfort.

Good shoes - The right shoe was a little tight for the first week, the left was fine. For some reason the shoe strings become frayed. I think the eyelet has a rough spot in it.

An all-around great pair of shoes - I typically have a hard time finding shoes that fit me properly because I have very narrow heels. I was looking for a pair of waterproof shoes that were warm and suitable for everyday wear. Unfortunately, most shoes that fit that description are boots designed for serious mountain climbing or hiking, neither of which I do in the city. These shoes really surprised me. They are very comfortable, my feet do not get cold, and they stay on my feet. Right out of the box they were very comfortable and didn't require much break-in at all. I ordered my normal size, a 9.5, and they are a perfect fit. The laces are not as long as most other shoes but they are not too short, at least not for me. I'm really happy with the fit but I would be cautious if you have really wide feet.

Great shoe - I'm on my feet all day, and need a good arch support and a wide, comfortable toe. These shoes are great. They do seem to run a little small. I buy a size larger and have no problems at all. My wide foot has plenty of room.

Sweet relief - I have terrible feet, as in painful, and lately I've developed fasciatis. Nothing seems to help. After reading a couple of reviews from people saying their Keen shoes relieved it, I tried these. Its been a few weeks now but its actually working! These shoes are so comfortable right out of the box, just the right amount of arch support, wide toe box allows your toes to spread as you 'step off', I can't say enough about them. I bought 2 more pairs. And yes, the shoelaces are too short if you have a very high instep like me, but who can quibble about $2 for a pair of good bootlaces when you've found great shoes? I love these shoes, and love Zappos. They are THE best shoe site hands down, and they set the standard for customer service.

My second pair, the fit is perfect for me. I wear these for long days on my feet. My first pair wore out in less than a year (outside heel area wore through) but the comfort is worth it to me.

Winter Birkis at Last - I wear Birkenstock Arizona sandals as long as I can, resorting to heavy wool socks in cool weather. But, winter is here and I'm thrilled to discover that Keens offer nearly as much support for my very high arches. Plus, they are warm, waterproof, and great for walking on pavement and trail. Caution: I have found the width to vary by up to 1/4" in different colors of the same style.

The first 2 days of wearing my feet were sore. The shoes are a little stiff initially. After that, they broke in nicely and I find I am picking them over all my other shoes to wear now. Very comfortable, and I like their look. I have received many complements on them.

Best Footwear for Urban Exploration - I bought the Keen Austin for its "urban exploration" capabilities. I wander around NYC and walk about 6 miles a day and these shoes are exceptional. I'm sure I'll be wearing them for years.

My son loves these shoes - I was so impressed when I received these shoes THE VERY NEXT DAY I ordered them. I did not pay request or pay anything extra for special delivery. My son at first felt pressure around his ankle with these shoes, but then they stretched and adjusted, now he says they feel perfect.
