I've had these shoes for 2 years now, and still use them on a regular basis. Very comfortable even after years of use. This is the shoe that inspired me to buy more Keen shoes for myself, and my kids.

I was looking for an all leather shoe for walking and mild hiking. This is exactly what I needed. It is very comfortable and the classic Keen rubber toe serves well on the hiking trails.

I bought these shoes for my husband to replace a pair he had just like them several years ago. He has wide feet and a high arch and he says these fit both of those features perfectly. He says these shoes haven't changed and everything he loves about the ones he had about 5 years ago are still there - although I don't know exactly what those "things" are. If you are a general Keen enthusiast (like my husband and I) then these will not disappoint.

Awesome shoe overall that is super comfy all day. It can either be dressed up or down and looks good both ways. Also its a great shoe for crummy weather in general but still looking good.

These shoes are very supportive and comfortable. I am a teacher and my knees get very sore from shoes I wear. I bought these before I went to a conference in London and walked miles in them. Once they are broken in, they are great!

I bought these as a gift for my son and he loves them. They are so comfortable he has worn them every day! Other family members have tried them on and are planning on placing an order for a pair because of their comfort. They look great and are a real winner! Service from Zappos was awesome.

First pair of Keen's that I have owned and they are great. Really comfortable, supportive, and a great shoe. I like how they are rather light, even though the picture makes them look heavy.

A great shoe! I bought a pair to replace the same shoe I had purchased and worn for over two years. The old shoe was still as good as ever but it no longer looked new. I work on my feet in a busy office for 40 hours/week and I have many pairs of shoes but these are my favorite.

Love Keen shoes, I own many pairs. The new Austin is a good shoe, I own an older version. This new version has less padding around the ankle and is a bit more stiff that the older version. It takes a few times to break in the shoe as oppose the older version which felt more like a running sneaker. The older version the sole wore out very quick, I can't comment on tear and wear yet on this one but I hope the sole is more durable. Still a great looking shoe and I will keep buying Keen!

I have owned many pairs of Keens and find them to be the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I love this new chocolate brown color. These are great walking shoes. I walk at least three miles every day and these are even better than sneakers for long walks.

I bought these for my husband. Very few stylish and comfortable shoes come in a 17. He loves them, some of the most comfortable shoes he owns!

These shoes are fantastic! The look good and are very comfortable. I ordered a size smaller than my running shoes and the fit is right on the money.

I bought these because I love my Keen Sandals, and I want the fit an comfort year round. They fit great and since my feet tend to pronate my feet need the arch support and theses shoes provide that. If you are not sure just try them you will love them.

There are not many shoes that I've worn out and bought again. My old pair lasted for four years of heavy use. Once again they are my go-to shoe. Great for work and walking.

I wore these to the Teotihuacan pyramids outside of Mexico City. I walked up the Pyramid of the Moon, then across to the Pyramid of the Sun, and up to the top of that. These shoes were amazingly comfortable. They have great support, and though they're not as "cushy" as a sneaker, I think they did much better than a sneaker would have because of their excellent support. My feet just don't seem to get tired in these shoes. I'm thinking of ditching my sneaker habit (New Balance) for some more Keen shoes.

I love these shoes - they are comfortable and durable and versatile. I have worn them for the past 5 or 6 years. My only complaint is that the toebox does not seem as wide as it used to be on the mens 10.5 size.

These are my first pair of Keens. I ordered these along with a Merrell and a Born on the recommendation of my orthopedic specialist due to some foot pain I'm dealing with. These were the best of the three in arch support and heel stability. I have very tall arches and these shoes feel full and supportive under the arch, which is a rare find. I also tend to pronate and the heel box of this shoe is very secure and solid feeling. The heel height feels lower -- possibly due to the extra arch support -- making the shoe feel geared toward a mid-foot strike. The advantage of this is less impact on the knees and hips while walking. The toe box is a little extra-wide and roomy, and the length of the shoe is true to size.

I have owned three Austins, they are nicest shoe to hate that I know of. They are great, all day shoes, fit nice, never hurt, and wear out or blow out quickly. Each of my three pairs failed in different ways, glue, sewing, and cracked. I suggest you look elsewhere as these shoes are great to wear but do not hold well.

I have worn my black Keen Austin's for about a year now and I'm quite happy with the shoe. I've worn these shoes everywhere - they go with everything but my suits, fit well, and they are just beginning to show some wear on the heel. They look pretty good whether they are shined, brushed, scuffed, or left alone so you can take your choice of care. Expect plenty of toe-room from these Keens. Because they have a solid heel and a broad base, you won't turn your ankle stepping off a curb. The laces reach down to your forefoot so that you can get a good fit. I rate them as great city shoes, good travel kicks, and fine casual footware, especially if you want good support. The only drawback I have found is that they are not waterproof. Heres a trick: When I received them I applied a coat of carnauba paste wax to strengthen the leather. I think the uppers will last forever.

Great shoe for walking and traveling - I was planning on doing a bit of extended traveling and needed a shoe that would be able to take a lot of abuse, but still be versatile enough to work in most settings. This shoe exceeded my expectations. After it got broken in, the shoe was very comfortable (I recommend buying some padded soles), and put up with a lot of wear and tear. The waterproof toe section came in very handy. Highly recommended.
