Classic and hard to wear out - I am embarrassed to say that I have worn this exact style of shoe since 1975 when I first began to play tennis. While there are many other, probably better designed for the game shoes on the market, you cannot beat the cool factor of wearing these. I do play tennis in them but I also wear them out riding my bike and puttering around. They are classic, clean and fabulous. There is a reason they still make them and that they have sold so well for the past 30+ years.

I purchased this shoe in September for my son by November I had to return them because the sole and upper shoe tore at the seam. Received new shoe and by April I returned the shoe again for the same problem. The quality of the shoe is not worth it.

A PAINFULLY good looking shoe. I have loved ALL of the Adidas I've owned in the past (especially the Sambas), but this latest pair of Stan Smiths has made me bitter at the company for releasing such a HORRIBLE pair of shoes. I bought them just before a trip to Australia thinking I could rely on Adidas for a comfortable utilitarian shoe - how wrong I was. I probably walked about 4-10 miles per day for three weeks and every step I took was worse than the one before it. At the end of the third week, I started developing knee pain (which I've never had before - and I always walk/bike a lot) that was relieved by switching back to my old hammered-out pair of shoes (Vision Street Wears). I won't ever put them back on my feet. They're so bad that I felt guilty donating them (after owning them for only 4 weeks), I should have just buried them in the backyard next to the goldfish remains. They'd both be about as equally uncomfortable to have strapped to my feet, but admittedly, for different reasons. Bad job Adidas. I'm really disappointed.

Worth the wait - A little stiff out of the box, but be patient and they'll break in soon! All adidas soles are super durable (haven't danced through a pair yet!). These look super sharp and are comfy once you wear them a few times.

I ordered shoes on Sunday, and received them on Friday! Exactly, 4-5 days as promised! I have already recommended Zappos to friends!

Great for tennis! These sneakers are hard to find in stores. Zappos is quick and with no shipping fees it's a no brainer. I buy a couple pair of these a year for tennis.

Bang for the buck - Not only are the shoes great, but the people at Zappos were right on as usual. I ordered my shoes on Sunday afternoon and I was wearing them by Tuesday afternoon. I am not going to buy my shoes anywhere else from now on. These shoes are classics and you can't go wrong with the fit or the look.

Love these Classics! I have gotten many compliments already! They are just as comfortable as I remember from high school, many years ago. I would absolutely recommend these shoes!

Not comfortable - I bought these for my husband (age 33) who has several pairs of Adidas shoes. He said these were the most uncomfortable he's ever owned. They are stiff and take a LOT of breaking in. He actually kind of gave up on them and so they sit in the closet unworn.

Great shoes at a great price - Love these things! Cheaper on Zappos than at the a store in Downtown San Diego. My only complaint is that I should have probably gone with a 12, but that may have been too small (usually I am a 12.5, ordered 13) so I need to wear a slightly thicker sock or tighten the laces a bit so my heel doesn't slip out. Other than that, extremely comfortable shoes and they look great!

Love this shoe. Only negative aspect is that it's very stiff and takes a long time to break in. As a previous owner, I expected this. Even though it's stiff, I have no hesitation to immediately wear it for sports activities. It just takes a while for it to get to the point where it's soft and pliable to the point where it fits like a glove. It's well worth the wait.

Adidas Stan Smith originals - I've owned these shoes for a year and they fit perfectly! I've wanted them for years but could only find them in men's sizes until Zappos. I would recommend this shoe to anyone and I had no trouble breaking them in...this may be since my foot is smaller. I hope you never stop selling them!

ADIDAS Original Stan Smith - This is the best classic casual and tennis shoe. I always go with original style. It looks plain that’s why I love it.

I loved the shoes. My foot is narrow and these feel good and don't look really wide.

These Shoes Were Made For Walking... I have to order Big size shoes for my son, and that is not always easy finding the styles that he likes in a size 14. Adidas is an excellent brand and my son was very happy with the fit, style and quality of the shoe.I was happy I found them at Zappos my No#1 shoe store!

Classic & PERFECT - Love LOVE LOVE these tennis sneakers. Their sporty, clean and classic and comfortable. I wear a 7 1/2, ordered a 7 1/2 and they fit perfect. I highly recommend these!!!

My husband has been getting these shoes over and over again for the past 20 years. I hope they never stop selling them. They never go out of style and they are comfortable, perfect for someone with wide feet.

Nice shoes - Zappos: You guys rock. You are a real customer service company and I had thought none existed anymore. I have recommended Zappos to about 10 people just because of the customer service. The shoes: I got black. They are perfect for my work where I need good shoes but they can't be too flashy. These are very nice and comfortable and they look like they'll wear very well.

Awesome shoes, speedy delivery! I adore these shoes! Simple yet classic. It goes great with anything casual. It hurt for the first few days, but after breaking into them, they become comfortable. I was considering ordering a size up but didn't. I suggest trying out narrow sneakers at stores to see if you really do need to order up. And the reviewers were right- they are so bright in the sun because it's so white. It was my first time ordering anything from Zappos. I was very surprised with the delivery time. I expected 4-5 days, but then received an email that they were going to ship the order out immediately! I was so impressed to have really received it the next day.

Very Happy - I bought a pair like this in 1976 in Germany and wore them for almost 15 years. They were great. I hoped to have my old favorite pair of tennis shoes back and indeed I do. The fit is great and they are just as comfortable as I remembered them to be.

Great shoes - Got these for my 13 year old son, who likes to wear the same pair every day until they wear out. The shoes fit well, are comfortable for everyday use, and still hold up for tennis.

After reading a magazine article recommending that a man over 35 could confidently wear tennis shoes as long the shoes are not emblazoned with large and obvious logos. Maybe it’s my age, but I enjoy these shoes with denim or slacks, casual or not so casual. A versatile number to add to your wardrobe.
