I realize I'm in the minority here, but I find these shoes pretty uncomfortable. I've owned them since late March and wear them fairly regularly. From the beginning I thought that the tougher/stiffer leather would break in and that the arch support would conform to my feet a bit. Unfortunately neither has happened. On the positive side, I really like the look. They are casual but work well with business casual attire.

I thought these shoes were really cute online, and bought them in September. While they are comfortable I'm pretty sure I look like a nun wearing them

I bought these shoes a year ago from Zappos which has wonderful service. I like the look of these shoes, and they don't disappoint in comfort. However, in less than a year, the soles of the shoe have broken in half under the toe bed/arch. This allows water to leak right in and soak your foot. I own a lot of Campers (8+ pairs), and they are usually a name for quality, but I would not recommend Pelotas Ariels. For the money, another shoe will last longer.

I first encountered Camper shoes when the America’s cup sailing race was in San Francisco bay. Camper was a sponser of team New Zealand and I had a chance to try on the shoes they had designed for the team. I thought they were great. Foolishly I didn’t buy the shoes right then but later ordered them on line. Since then i have bought 5-6 more pair of different models of Camper shoes. Most were bought during European travel (Italy and Spain.) I bought the Pelotas to wear on a cruise along the Aleutian islands and on to Kamchatka and Japan thinking they would provide the comfort I wanted combined with a bit of dressiness. So far they have met my expectations - very comfortable and dressy enough for ‘business causal.’ I am glad I discovered Camper. This is the first time I ordered from Zappos. The experience was good and I am sure I will buy more shoes from Zappos.

I bought my first pair of pelotas in 2000. Just in the past year They were finally retired. The soles were gone but the leather upper was beautiful. Even in 16 or so years I only replaced the laces 3-4 times. Back then they were proud that their shoes were made in Spain. So it came time for a replacement... The leather is cheaper, the sole feels cheaper, the tongue of the upper is actually vinyl and not leather. Sadly they aren't even made in Spain any longer. So the company has continually cut costs and quality over 2 decades, but are still charging almost $200. Sadly that's how it goes I supose. On the plus side, they did make the insoles much better, and the laces are pretty much the same.
