Beautiful shoes. Very flattering on the foot with a comfortable, stable heel. The metal detail does not bother me at all. My only gripe would be the stretch in the shoe which although very comfortable, tends to allow my foot to slide forward slightly while walking which makes my toes hang off the top a bit. I don't have particularly narrow feet so I don't think that is the problem. The shoe is a bit hard but this is easily solved with sticky pads, I put them in almost all my shoes anyway!

Love the shoe. Have both the navy and the brown. The buckle is metal on the top of your foot. It does bother me some, but not too much that I won’t wear the shoe. Thinking of putting a felt pad on the back so metal doesn’t hit the skin.

Beautiful details and workmanship. The only thing I don't like about this shoe is that I avoid wearing them on days when I know I'll being using stairs frequently because of the loud "clomping" noise they make when going down a flight of stairs that aren't carpeted! I originally purchased them in an 8.5 but returned them for a size 9 as I thought the length of the 8.5 was a little short (width on both sizes is fine).

Beauty ... but at a price -
This is a beautiful shoe and I get lots of compliments on it, but it's not a shoe I could wear if I have a lot of walking to do. The heel is hard to walk on and the silver band does rub against my toes in a way that's not comfortable.

Very pretty navy shoe. However, the buckle on the front makes the shoe uncomfortable. It does seem to be getting a little better the more I wear them, but I would not suggest wearing this shoe all day. It runs true to size.

Cute but uncomfortable -
I think I've worn these maybe twice since I purchased them. They are stiff and don't give; when you walk they flap hard as flip flops do. The ornament digs into your foot with each step. There are other styles much more comfy, but I do notice a change in the way Brighton shoes fit in the last few years. They were made in Italy and now they are made in Brazil, so perhaps that explains the change. Cute show but miserably uncomfortable!
I'd also recommend:
Try other Brighton Styles, but you can't beat the comfort of Taryn Rose

Sacrifices Comfort For Looks -
I LOVE how these shoes look, so I was sad to return them after wearing them for only 20 steps or so around the house. They are SO uncomfortable - the pretty silver buckle rubbed so much around the top of my foot, I put them back in the box in no-time. Zappos was fantastic about the return and I've ordered shoes from here before this one and after - I highly recommend Zappos.

Adorable shoe but the buckle on my right shoe is causing me pain on my toes!! Difficult to walk! On the other hand. Love Zappos and their free express shipping. Ordered the shoes on Tues. received them on Wed. and am wearing them on Thurs. Now if only they were comfortable!!

No lie - a beautiful shoe. The only problem is the silver buckle hurts my toes and where it is placed on the shoe. Beauty isn't everything - comfort is first and foremost - this shoe is not.
I still love Brighton, but they need to think first for comfort.

I must start by saying that I love Brighton products (purses, glasses, etc.) and this had been my first Brighton shoe purchase.
While the shoes are beautiful and comfortable at first, after standing all day (I am a teacher), these shoes left a red, almost bloody, uncomfortable place under each of the metal decorative parts on top of my each of my feet.
I will not be able to wear them again and it is a shame since they are not inexpensive.
