Less comfortable then I expected - I was expecting more cushion in the heel area for this shoe. It does have plenty of room in the bed for my orthotic and a wide toe area. I use it in the gym, it is fine the elliptical walker and cycle but I would not use for arobic's or extended walking. It is true to size.

Super arch support, soft walking - This shoe is a great walking shoe. More padding and arch support than other Ryka walking shoes I have. The laces are way too short, and my feet slide a bit in them. Not enough to give blisters on a three mile walk, but more than I would like. Also, the one shoe bends over the toes and this is slightly disturbing, but hasn't caused any problem, hopefully the shoe will soften with some age.

Because I only wear Birkenstocks, my feet won't tolerate a 'normal' shoe fit but I 'power walk', sometimes over 30 miles a week, and can't do that in Birkenstocks. I've tried many other types of walking shoes and find Ryka's feel better, lend more support and last longer than any other shoe I've tried. And they allow for that 'Birkenstock spread' my feet have acquired. My only issue is the sizing. Ryka's run a half size smaller than marked. Other than that, a great shoe for walking.

Great Fit - I have bought Ryka shoes from the original company and then lost them for a time of their reorganization/ I am so glad that Zappos.com has this brand Ryka/ It is a great fitting shoe with excellent toe bed room and nice narrow heel/ Our feet are different from men's and this company recognizes this fact/The arch support and stability are important to me too as walking for exercise is enjoyable when your feet are stable in the footbed/ Hoosier Girl

Great comfort, comes in wide :) I already had purchased a pair of these from one of the Women's shoe stores in the mall, and knew I liked the feel of the shoe. When the mall store no longer had my size, I came here (recommended by a coworker). I wear the shoes 5-7 days a week, and somewhere between 2 hours (on weekends) to 12+ hours a day. The shoes held up a good 4 to 5 months of continuous wear, my feet stayed cool most days, but I was disappointed with how dirty the shoes became (they quickly look worn in). I finally had to break down and buy a new pair when the treads on the bottom of the shoes began to tear off. I'm now on my second pair.

RYKA GCB Walk - I have been trying to get use to these sneakers. I am on my feet for 12 hrs a day so I am trying to break them in. So far I have worn them about 4- 12 hr days and they are still tight. I will give them more time before they are my favorites. Thanks

Ryka GCB Walk - Very comfortable shoe for walking -- very cushiony. Only problem I had, although I suspect it is just a quality control issue for this particular pair, is that the inside of one of the shoes is sewn in such a way that it rubs the top of my big toe. The right socks fix this problem.

Prefer Sportwalker Inspiration - For several years I've basically lived in Ryka Sportwalker Inspirations. For a change in look, I got these GCB Walk. No matter how I fiddle with the laces, my heel slips. I walk right out of the shoe! Very frustrating to have to think about keeping your shoes on when you walk.

Review of returned pair - This is my second pair because I returned the first because the tongue slipped to the outside of my foot and it was uncomfortable. I have been wearing the new pair now for about 3 weeks. The tongue is slipping some on the right shoe. Other than that the shoe is comfortable. I ordered a 9 1/2 and probably should have ordered a 9. The tongue on this pair seems shorter than the other pair.

Nice shoe, but not enough arch support - I am a Ryka fan and have worn them exclusively for several years. Unfortunately my tried and true KM Stability Walk was discontinued. I believe that the GCB walk would do well for someone without foot problems. I need a shoe with superior arch support and this is NOT the shoe.

Width problems - I do like the look of the Ryka GCB. I ordered 8 1/2 Wide, I felt the width was a little tight. I didn't order a larger size because it would have been to long. Overall I'm not real happy with the Ryka GCB.

Won't buy again - At first these felt ok size wise. After 3 times of wearing them, I cannot go past a mile without them crunching my toes. I have worn size 8.5 for years. This is the first time I have ever had a problem.
