I've gotten more compliments on this bag than all other bags I've owned collectively (and I do try to have not-ugly bags)! The shiny black leather is sleek (though a bit prone to scratching so be a bit careful where you toss the bag) and the red pin stripe is both eye-catching and tastefully chic. The organizational sections/pockets/etc. inside make the bag very well suited to use as a daily bag to/from the office or for work travel (which is what I use it for). My Mac Air fits perfectly and I get a lot in the bag overall. But I'll caution you on two points: 1) the straps are pretty thin, and while a bit padded on the underside, which helps, if the bag is heavy and you're carrying it for a long time, your shoulder will start to protest. (Mine does, at least.) 2) You can probably fit more in the bag than you should, and it doesn't stand up all that well to heavy contents. I had to get a replacement bag because one of the four strap-connection points broke and one of the bottom corners of the bag started to pull apart. (Thank you, once again, Zappos customer service. You're the best!) I don't think the strap breaking was due to 'normal wear and tear' but the bottom's starting to separate was probably due to that plus over-heaviness. So if you need to carry a lot of stuff on a routine basis, maybe this bag isn't for daily use. (For me a lot of stuff includes: laptop, power cable, phone and its cable, a kindle, a small cosmetics bag, a sunglasses case, a small cash-and-cards-only wallet, and various sundries like pens/passport/some coins/etc.) Basically my purse has to carry just about everything for me since I'm on the road a lot and I don't want to mess with a purse plus a computer bag (though I probably ought to), and I'm definitely pushing the limit of this bag. If you have more than the above, get something else. But I defy you to find something that looks as great!

A nice work purse that can carry a laptop, two phones, folders, cosmetic bag, clutch and a water bottle while looking professional and sleek. I also purchased the Lodis SUV clutch to lift out when I don't feel like carrying the whole thing.

This bag is quality! I’ve been using it for 4 years as a briefcase and have had no problems with it. I have it weighted down at times and am impressed with the handles holding up. Inside there are two dividers for 3 total sections. I carry my laptop in it-there is padding and a velcro strap to hold it in. In the other interior sections, I carry file folders, etc. The front pocket has pen holders, business card pocket, cell phone or mouse pocket and room for carrying my power cord. I got the red and get compliments on it constantly.

I took this bag to New York for a conference the first week that I had it. It fit my laptop, papers, wallet and phone, a sweater, etc. -- great space. I also appreciated the large number of pockets for organization. And it was relatively comfortable despite the weight. I don't use it every day because it's a little bulky, but when I know that I'm going to need a lot of stuff for a special meeting, I pull it out happily.

Overall: I've had the black version of this bag for a few months and absolutely love it. This is a gorgeous, sleek and stylish bag. There are a few downsides that might not make it perfect for everyone (details below). Pros: The overall style. The leather quality is great and the red detailing makes it really stand out from other generic black bags. I like the very slim profile as well. Cons: Any small scratch will probably stand out; I'm just careful and it's been fine. This bag has no feet on the bottom and doesn't stand up on its own, kind of a bigger hassle since it seems like scratches will show up. Also the straps are narrow and unpadded, probably not great for carrying a larger amount of weight for long distances. I don't typically carry a laptop in my bag and it's completely fine, but it might be uncomfortable otherwise.

I purchased this bag several years ago. It was my first item in the Lodis brand. I has been worth every penny that I paid. And I ALWAYS hate to admit that. I have received many compliments on it. It is where my laptop, cords, business cards, wifi card, files, etc. "live." High quality construction, and it is stuffed to the max always. The bag is indestructible. I have a blue color. I would purchase it in another color, but I plan to retire in ten years and it hasn't even begun to show any wear AT ALL. So I can't justify purchasing another just for color change, because this one will outlast my career!

Bought toffee color and it is really beautiful. Perfect for tall lady. Spacious and high quality. I absolutely like the style and quality from Lodis.

It's a beautiful bag, just a bit boxy for me; the straps are the perfect length, but I'm still returning it.

Very attractive bag. Lots and lots of storage and still with a bag full of stuff, the bag holds its sleek shape. Thought the leather may have been a bit softer but looks like it will wear well. Had it for only a few days and lots of compliments so far.

This bag has a lot of great organization, but check out the weight. My laptop is already 4.7 lbs, and this bag adds 2.5 lbs to that. If that doesn't concern you, this is a great bag with lots of useful pockets.

I ordered a few different Lodis bags to compare, and this was my favorite. It's sleek, no larger than necessary, but has tons of pockets. I especially like the organizational pouch on the side, but the inside is well designed too with padding plus multiple dividers. I love the magnetic snap and think all bags should have this. I do not love the camel leather and matching camel inside, or the white topstitching. To me the bag does not say luxury, which at this price it should.

I love this bag, but in only 9 months of use one of the straps has split. It is disappointing that, given the cost of the bag, it is not more durable. However, the manufacturer does have a warranty that is good for a year, so they did replace the bag free of charge.
