These are now my favorite shoes of all time. I have very hard to fit feet. I have had a couple of foot surgeries and have a hard time finding shoes that don’t hurt after a short time. These shoes are fantastic and I can wear them all day without pain.

I bought these shoes for a winter trip to London and Paris. Right out of the box, they fit really well and were totally true to size. They were remarkably comfortable for all day walking and museum visiting. They look good, provide solid support around your entire foot, and performed well in drizzle and light snow. I highly recommend these shoes.

The Keen Portsmouth is a great shoe! From past experience I know that Keen products are solid and the Portsmouth is no exception. The more I wear it the more I love it. I typically have a hard time finding shoes because a 13 in most brands is a little too small and I have to scrunch my toes. But then a 14 in most brands is too big. I think I really need a 13.5 but nobody makes a 13.5. With Keen, the 13 fits perfectly and it feels great!

Great shoes, super comfortable. I have wide feet and the width is perfect in these. We get a lot of snow, and these are great for the walk to work. I love the styling. The shipping was ultra quick. I ordered the shoes at 5:30p on a Wednesday and there shoes arrived the next afternoon.

I have owned two pairs of these shoes. They are some of the most comfortable shoes that I've ever worn. That being said, I wouldn't buy these shoes. I returned the first pair because the seam on side, towards the toe, split open after just a couple of months. They replaced the shoe and after just a couple of months the seam split again. This is the seam that you can see in the picture that slants up and down on the outside of the shoe. I kept wearing them because they were so comfortable even though I had a gaping hole in the side of my shoes. This is just a bad design. I love Keen but these shoes will not last.

This shoe has worn well over the five months that I have worn it, with one exception. The so called "semi-aggressive" sole has hollow lugs! Yes, half of the depth of the lugs has worn down on one shoe and since, by design, they are hollow I now have a hole in the sole of my shoe. Close inspection shows that several other lugs are ready to wear through as well. The rest of the shoes have held up very well, but the soles have given up the ghost! For the price I would expect a better design, especially from Keen. From now on I'll just stick with their sandals and go back to Rockport or Clarks for shoes.

I recently purchased these shoes and am very pleased with them. I originally ordered them in a size 10 and they were a little large so I exchanged them for a 9.5. Excellent customer service was provided for this process and I received the new item the next day! I will definitely consider Zappos for my next shoe purchase.

I bought these shoes right before going on a 3 week train/walk-a-thon through Europe in winter and was very happy with them. I didn't bring any other shoes and got along great, even stayed dry after trudging through 15 inches of fresh snow in the Swiss Alps. I would highly recommend them.

Excellent shoe, my fourth pair of Keens and with the exception of the Voyageur the best pair yet. Keens seem to run a size larger than my other shoes. Zappos as usual has excellent customer service and prompt response. Very satisfied with the shoes and the company.

A most comfortable shoe. I walk every day and get great support with the Portsmouth. My third pair, they are durable, and do stretch some with wear. I usually wear a size 10, but the 9 1/2 in this shoe fits me better. Happy walking.

Sturdy, comfortable shoes. My previous pair lasted over 2 years of almost daily use in a work environment where I was on my feet 8-10 hours a day. At the end of those two years they were still comfortable without the need for new insoles. Before these shoes, I was always coming home with sore feet. Afterwards, I had no problems.

Pros: Good and unique looking shoe. Felt comfy enough right out of the box.
Cons: NOT as comfy after spending time in them. Sole is hard, will go "click clack" as you walk on hard flooring. The piping trim on the earlier model didn't hold up.
Verdict: I don't wear them anymore; I'm back to cushy walk DMX shoes.

I bought 3 pairs of Keen's Portsmouth for Christmas gifts this year --- and they all 3 fit differently! Very sad, had to send 2 of them back. The one pair that was true to size was rated "A+" by my son! Wish Keen would get more consistent with their sizing!!

My husband really likes these shoes. My son thinks his dad finally looks modern. A co-worker even complimented him! They look GREAT with jeans, and the waterproof leather allows him to clear light snow off the cars or shovel without worry. They run slightly larger than his other Keens, so he wears heavier socks with them. Great for winter - but in summer they would simply be too large. A 1/2 size smaller might have worked, but since he likes thick socks, we didn't exchange.

When all of my medical colleagues are wearing Danskos, etc - I went with the Keens - multiple 30 hour days over 1.5 years now, and I'm wearing the same pair and urging all hospital employees to get a pair. My feet have never been happier, and have not bothered me one whit - nor my back when I'm wearing them. Not only a standard arch, but a comfortable transverse arch as well.

On our seond pair of this shoe - My 20 year old son loves these shoes so much he asked me to order him another pair exactly the same. He likes the styling and they fit his wide foot. He also found them to be effectively waterproof during the Chicago winter. There is a similar Keen shoe with a seam on the top of the shoe and he dislikes that effect, so we were relieved that Portsmouth was still available.
