I was looking forward to receiving the shoes but was very disappointed when I got them. When I opened the box, all appeared well...until I took a closer look at the wedge of the shoe. It was not constructed of cork but of some kind of adhesive paper made to resemble cork (that was used to dress the exterior surface of the wedge). It made the shoe look very cheap! The rest of the shoe seemed to be really solid in that it was sturdy and the shoe fit my feet well. If it were not for the poor workmanship of the wedge I probably would have kept the shoe. Sorry...but I had to send this one back.

I got this in black and it's very comfortable. There is a sort-of lip surrounding your foot in the shoe, which holds it in place and supports the arch, I think. There's a lot of toe showing, which sort of emphasizes how big my big toe is, but the leather is so soft and the shoe is supportive, and the wedge walkable, so it's worth it. Nice shoe.

Amazing shoes - These shoes are great to skate in or just chill in. Don't even need to wear socks with them if you aren’t skating them. That’s how comfy they are… good padding, decent durability, fantastic board feel, fantastic grip.

Absolutely Amazing - I ordered my shoes not knowing anything about the Zappos service, and found myself ecstatic with the service I was given. Immediately after I ordered my shoes I was sent a tracking order and the great news that my shoes had been given FREE overnight shipping! Sure enough I got my shoes the next day handed to me by a smiling Fed-Ex man. The shoes were in perfect condition and fit perfectly!

These are the best shoes ever made. I have been wearing them for the past three years and they feel great, and skate even better.

Cool! Stylish, affordable, and comfortable. Perfect sneaker to wear with jeans. As always Zappos service was top notch.

I love my Vans - I just love the look of the casual. Clean and simple makes it work with nearly any outfit and looks good.

Vans Era - Great shoe! Extremely comfortable for anyone who is on their feet all day. Fit is true to size. I haven't worn Vans since the 70's when they were the only cool shoe around besides Converse. Love them!

AWESOME! It had alright arch support, but still bothered my heel a tiny bit. The looks of the shoe is great though!

COMFORT & STYLE! This shoe is pretty amazing if you plan on looking good and feeling comfortable. Vans has always been the shoe for me and I don't think that I will be going back to any other brand or style quite soon.

These shoes are just what we were looking for and what we couldn't find in the stores. More than that, they arrived so quickly. We are very pleased.

These are excellent shoes. The look is great and has sort of a retro vibe to them. I bought the two-toned ones and they go great with almost everything. They are comfortable to walk in. I am definitely going to invest in another pair!

They’re sick looking and they absorb impact pretty much like Reynolds or Theory’s. One of the dopest shoes I’ve ever skated; not a lot of padding but it doesn’t matter the insoles and support aren’t that bad. Plus you’ve got waffle grip on you’re side.

Awesome Company. Awesome Shoe. The shoe was very comfortable after the short breaking in period. This isn't a shoe meant for action such as skateboarding. It is just a comfy, awesome looking casual shoe.

Eras rock! I got them for my boyfriend for Christmas! He says they are more comfortable than the Classics. There is an extra "cushion" band around the top of the shoes that prevents "blisters" on the back of the heel if you know what I mean. Zappos sent them really really fast without tax! I received them the next day even though I ordered them after the deadline.

The Vans Era is a great looking shoe. It does not have much ankle support, so if that's not your thing, look elsewhere. Took a while to break in, but they're very comfortable when you do.

Great Shoe! Although I've had more comfortable shoes, these shoes are a great look, great style and a good buy. They're cheap and Stylish. BUY IT!

Best shoe I’ve had in years - It’s a real comfortable shoe that fits great… not too tight, just right... although they are hard to put on at first, after you break them in, your feet will feel even more comfortable.... overall it's a great shoe.

Comfort zone - This style and all the Vans I have provide the most comfort I have ever had for this kind of soft style.

Great shoe - I really liked how the shoe looks and even though the patting in the shoe is rather thin, it feels comfortable.

New and improved - I got the Vans Era 56. They’re not listed as Era 56 on Zappos.com, but I really love them because they have the classic Vans look and feel, but they're more durable than regular Vans Eras because they're leather instead of the classic canvas. As a cabinetmaker and skater, I'm rubbing around on my shoes a lot, and canvas would wear out too quick. The other feature I love about them is that the collar is padded and leather so they slip on and off nicer than the canvas bare bones Eras.

Van's Era - Good fit for a narrow foot - The Era is a tiny bit wider than the Authentic, but still a good option for guys with narrow to average width feet. The padded collar took a few hours to break in; other than that they have been comfy form the start. A little heavier than the authentic, but with the better selection for color ways, Era is my choice. As for Zappos, what can I say: true overnight shipping for free and in-stock availability of colors my local skateboard shop has been waiting two months for. Don't know how they do it, but keep it up!

"Rad" Edition Vans... 20th Anniversary - Nice. I had the original issue Rad Edition Vans, but they came with red laces. I'm glad Vans is honoring BMX and skate boarding’s histories by keeping their original line of shoes available for purchase. Vans Era (known to us "old" guys as Van Dorens) is still a classic today, some 41 years after their debut in Anaheim. Zappos has these in stock though my local Vans store does not...hmmm... Zappos is the way to go. The best customer service, excellent pricing (same as or lower than my local Vans store) and fast shipping. I've shopped Zappos for the past 7 years. It's a great store.
