A little stiff at first, but they\'re breaking in nicely. Great shoe for the price, I skate longboards and this gives me good grip for my feet. Not very padded, but I don\'t do a lot of jumps or anything, so it\'s not a problem.

Shoes are comfortable and stylish. They look even better physically. Great for walking, skating, and going out. Not my first Vans. Thumbs up for Zappos.

I ordered this shoe awhile back and have been wearing it for couple of weeks now. It is comfortable. Initially there was a little chafing at my heal, but this is better now that the shoe is broken in. It looks great! I've been happy with it, and I have received several comments from folks that like it also. The only thing that is a little funny is that the shoe laces are wider than I'd expected. Overall, it is a cool shoe. I didn't give it 5 stars just because it isn't a five star kind of shoe.

This shoe fit my 15 year old daughter well. We bought 4 styles and sent back 3, due to poor fit. As some of you may know, Vans do not have consistent sizing, which is why Zappos' variety and great return policy works well with this brand.

What can you say about Vans, always a classic. Great color combinations, typically comfortable and always affordable. This particular pair seemed a bit small for the size 10.5. I have many other pairs of Vans and these were a bit tight but they do stretch a bit.

Well this is my second pair. They definitely look good but they hurt! As least for a few weeks until you break them in. I had the same problem with my first pair. The upper tongue part is really hard and it literally crushes my foot each time I step. Just gotta deal with the pain until they break in and then they are great. Also, vans wear and tear quickly, the side rubber comes loose. Last one lasted me about 10 months when used about every other day or so.

Vans Era - These shoes get their stars for style. They have a flat sole, but are still comfortable when broken into.

Stylish, but no support - I really like the style and look of these shoes (I got the two-tone gray ones), but these are certainly not good walking shoes. For someone who is flat-footed like myself, these shoes are great for wearing out, but not for walking a long distance. That was no surprise to me.

Nice vegetarian shoes - I wanted casual shoes with no leather and these fit the bill. I had to break them in for comfort (bandaids on the backs of my ankles for the first week or so) but it was worth it - they broke in nicely. Main problem - lack of real arch support. Overall though, very nice shoes.

Zappos and Vans ROCK!! I received my Vans in 1 day via free UPS air delivery which was great and the Vans fit like a glove...If I had one negative thing to say about the Vans Era shoes I got is that they are not real supportive, but I knew that when I bought them...the Zappos experience was so good that I bought another pair of shoes from Zappos the very next week... Zappos and Vans ROCK!

Vans - I love wearing Vans. I'm 38 and still wear them. Very comfortable, I love the different color and patterns they come in. Have 6 pair right now. To fit all my moods. I just wish they would come in a wide. They all rip out in the same place.

Vans critique - Great shoe but not much support. Great for lounging but not long term wear. Also, the shoe runs somewhat narrow so you might want to look for a wider option.

Cute shoe, lightning fast delivery - I've been eyeing these for awhile. The dots, the pink soles & laces - yay! Lots of compliments on them. Fits like Vans usually do for me, no arch support. But I can fit my orthotics in the shoe and cinch down the laces. Big kudos for the fast delivery!! I ordered them Saturday night, and I received them Mon by noon. Is that crazy fast or what?!

I want to love these but the description says canvas and they are leather-like which I didn't want. So they must go back. Other than that they are pretty good fit for me. I tend to need a wider shoe and was pleasantly surprised at the fit of my daughter's Vans so I am trying to get myself a pair.

I love these but the rubber along the side is separating from the fabric of the shoe at the points where my foot bends. And they're really not made for long walks, as my feet feel achy after walking for 45 minutes or so.

Hey, guys, unfortunately I had a bad experience with these shoes. The second time I wore them I happened to get rained on and pretty much all the color washed out. Now they are pretty much just a pinkish-white. It sucks! Maybe I was just unlucky with my pair, I don't know! But to be safe if you buy a pair, try not to get them wet!

I like the Vans Authentic Core Classics better. The padded collar on the Eras is supposed to be more comfortable than the plain collar on the Authentic, but it isn't. It rubs on the sides of my ankles while the Authentic's collar doesn't. Comfortable otherwise though.

The Era is an improvement on the Authentic (there's a little more padding). These shoes are comfortable, but they definitely need to be broken in -- before they were, I got blisters on three separate areas on my foot. I get lots of compliments on these shoes. Apparently they're classy.

The rubber around the bottom of the shoe became detached after 1 week. After I phoned, Zappos promptly sent a replacement.

The shoes are very, very stylish, but they feel about a size smaller than they are marked. The stitching in the back ended up cutting the backs of my heels, so I can only wear them when I'm not walking far--- which is very rare, as I live in NYC!

This is my first pair of Vans and they look great, but don't fit well. The hell rubs painfully and cuts into my skin, going so far as to cause breakage of the skin and bleeding. I tried putting padding in and wearing thicker socks, but it didn't work. I can only bear to walk around for five minutes before it starts hurting.

Very cute but not the best for comfort - I got these adorable Vans with the hound dogs on them. True to Vans nature, they are fairly narrow and not too comfy. Maybe they just need a longer breaking in period. I normally wear Chucks, (Converse) and although Chucks are also not the most comfortable sneaker made, they offer a little bit more toe room and a little wider shoe. I think I'll stick to Converse from here on out.

I liked these shoes...but they had a lot of defects all around...but other than that they were okay...oh and the first day or two they mad a squeak type of noise.
