The first few times I wore this, the back of the shoe was digging into my ankle, rubbing my skin into a cut. After a week or so, the material wore down enough so it's no longer an issue as long as I keep them tied tight enough. Other than that they're really basic shoes, no extra support anywhere, flat foot. And they look awesome! I get compliments on them often.

I recently purchased the smooth leather Era for me, and the canvas style for my wife. When I ordered them, Zappos was changing their shipping procedures, and I complained when I didn't get them right away as I've ordered several pairs of shoes from them and never had this problem. In the end they ended up comping me over $150! I got the shoes for free, and Zappos has a customer for life. Back to the shoes: the Eras are a good shoe. My wife and and I are tall people with big feet, but Vans succeed in disguising this fact well. The minimal styling, basic, classy, oldschool charm of the shoes is the best out there. You couldn't give me a pair of Nikes or Addidas. I used to play Basketball in Skate Hi's for heavens sake, that's how much I like this brand. A lot of shoe companies copy the Vans style, but they really don't come close. I've owned Eras, Slip Ons, Skate Hi's, Chukka Boots, and Chukka Lows. Van's are comfortable but not on your feet all day work shoes, and aren't meant to be. They're a skating and casual shoe, but they're cool. Vans are the only skate shoe as far as I'm concerned, and my life long choice of casual foot wear.

Awesome - I would have to say that this is a great shoe... I had some trouble finding things for it to match with but for its purpose it was perfect! It's comfortable as hell and has its own unique look/design... to some that might be alittle weird... but for me... it is just another thing that I can wear that isn't part of the mainstream America.... DEFINATELY A GREAT SHOE!

Wish I could vote all 5 stars but my son found this style to be very uncomfortable and somewhat narrow. We were surprised since they resembled his old Vans, but perhaps he bought a different style before. Anyway, we took another reviewer's advice and exchanged these for Vans Chukka Low -- a much more comfortable shoe! Overall, great looks but not comfortable if you like a little more padding.

I bought these for my niece for her birthday and she loved the shoes. The shoes were very comfortable and looked great on her.

My daughter loves these shoes. She's a big fan of anything green and Vans. On the downside, they don't have much arch support but I bought inserts and that solved the problem.

I bought these as a gift for my dad and he loved them. He says they are super comfortable and these will not be his last pair.

I ordered these shoes for my granddaughter who is living in Italy with her parents who are military. I love that you ship to Zappos. Zappos had these shipped and on time for her birthday very quickly. She told me she loved them (she is 15) and got tons of compliments on them. I told her from now on, Zappos was the only store she was allowed to pick a gift from! Easiest gift I ever gave. She went on line, chose these shoes, sent me the link, I paid, gave the address, and Zappos did the rest! Thank you, Zappos!

I have purchased these shoes for my son before from a local retailer. They turn out great face to face. I have also ordered them online. However, every single time I receive them from the Internet, there is a flaw and I send them back. From sections not glued to having something under the sole that caused the shoe to be uncomfortable. These shoes came with a deformed rubber toe. This is the last time I order Vans online.

My daughter loves her Vans! And this color goes with almost everything. She stays they're super comfortable.

Great looking sneaker. It's so stylish. The only negative is that it doesn't have any arch support. That being said, I would get these many many times over.

These Vans are truly rocking! They are such a great deal. They come in the normal shoe size you are. They are exactly as if I would have bought them at PacSun or any other store. I truly recommend these shoes as for it's a sin to not purchase them.

Vans are the only shoe my son wears, and we only order from Zappos since he hates to shop! These shoes last forever, and you can wash them, a bonus!
