I've worn Vans Slip-Ons for years so you know what to expect. Comfort is good only because they used to be slightly larger than advertised so if I got my shoe-size, it'd be a little roomier (my feet are a little wider than they used to be). They are true to size now so go a half-size up if you want a bit of extra room, especially as the toe-box can be a bit narrow for those of us with wide feet. But, otherwise, they're great. The insole is glued in so if you want to replace it, you gotta just rip it up (won't damage the shoe) or get the skate versions as I hear the insoles there are removable. Good to do if you want arch support. These feel better built than before also. Anyway, checkerboard pattern never goes out of style!

These shoes were wide, too wide.

I have 2 other pairs of Vans (one low-top lace up and one hi-top lace up). These are exactly the same size and they are about a half-size too short. I have fairly narrow feet and the other two pairs I have fit perfectly... not these.

Need insoles for comfort

I have so many slip on vans but for some reason these feel tighter on the toe bed! They squish my toes. I’m super upset because I’ve never had this issue before. Are they made differently?

I have two other pairs of classic slip-on Vans and this new pair (black/black) that I tried was narrower than both of them (compared soles). The material on this pair felt rough/uncomfortable compared to those as well. They were also narrower/more uncomfortable than my two pairs of lace version.

Pinches in the toes. otherwise love them.

The fit and size would be 5 stars but, the heel on the left foot is extremely hard to get my foot in. I had to order a shoe horn.
