I am a retired Baby Boomer who has worn the original checkered slip-on Vans for many years. I recently decided to mix it up with the solid off-white model. Again, classic, but with a fresh summery look. Still comfortable. Still stylin'.

I bought these to use as everyday shoes in Costa Rica where shoes can get wet and muddy. Leather doesn't dry quickly, and the plastics don't breath. Crocs are the shoe du jour, but he refuses to wear them! He can wear these with shorts or long pants. He usually wears flip flops, but sometimes those are too casual, or the feet need more protection so these do the trick. He says they fit well and are comfortable.

If you're looking for something super casual, hip, and a bit flashy, you'll enjoy these shoes. Definitely not for every outfit, but good with certain things. As far as comfort goes...they re Vans; you get what you expect. They aren't fantastic or anything, but they are a style shoe, not a hiking boot.

My young adult son loved these Vans shoes. They are comfortable, nice looking, and good quality. Zappos provided very fast delivery. This was money well spent. Point for Zappos.

Relatively comfortable kicks, the length is slightly small while the width is meant for pretty narrow feet. There is no support and not much cushioning, just a thin rubber layer for the sole. Shoes don't get more stylish than this though.

I love these shoes. The fit is just right, they are comfortable, look great, feel great, and the price is fantastic. A real no-brainer.

It's surprisingly difficult to find the slip on Vans in solid black - the lace up Vans are much more readily available - but it's worth the hunt. Thick rubber sole lasts a few years, compared to those flimsy urban outfitters knock-offs that last one summer. The back cuts in to my ankle a bit, but my feet toughened up after a week. Not the best arch support, but for a slip on shoe, they're pretty solid.

Love this classic. Made well and very comfy. I've received lots of compliments.

First time purchasing Vans and I love them. Perfect shoes to run errands in around the city. Super comfortable. I actually wore these without socks and did not have any discomfort. Zero blisters! Highly recommend!

Love these! Classic and comfortable! I went with my regular size W 7.5 and they are a little loose but not uncomfortable or a problem! I maybe could have gone with a 7 but the 7.5 works fine!

Solid as ever. Been wearing these shoes for years. The last few pairs I've gotten have had exposed glue between the canvas and rubber in the toe area, as well as scuffed rubber in the toe area...weird. Still not gonna stop wearing them.

This is my second pair. These are comfortable, durable casual shoes that can pass as dressy if no one looks too closely.

When these are brand new, expect some rubbing on the back of your foot. After the broken in, they're great for a very casual slip-on. I also appreciate their flat sole and no arch support for days I do heavy squats. Mine get a lot of heavy use and I wear out the shoe before I wear out the sole (the canvas floor inside the shoe begins to fray around my toes) but as long you remember that they arent a perfomance shoe, you'll be happy with the purchase. I buy a pair each Spring and wear them till Winter.

They're Vans, You get what you expect from a historic prestigious name. Good quality, durable, comfortable. I will probably buy 10 pairs over my lifetime.

Zappos is fantastic...returns are super easy..when you order something...most of the time it comes the next day. I will always buy from Zappos!

I am an artist who frequently orders from Zappos. As soon as my customers order a hand painted shoe from me I turn right to Zappos for the shoe. I've never had out of stock issues and the one day shipping is so convenient.

Quality of these shoes has really deteriorated. After only a couple hours of wear, the fabric liner started coming loose inside one shoe. It was loose and crumpling up under my toes and heels as if it was poorly glued to the sole. I contacted Zappos and they immediately sent a replacement pair. Not a moment longer than the first pair lasted, the same issue appeared on the replacements! I guess Vans quality isn't what it was a few years ago. Praise Zappos for taking care of me though.

The first thing I noticed was that these Vans were incredibly tight. So tight that, even without socks, I had to use a shoehorn to wedge them onto my feet. I'm an 11.5 in nearly every brand, from Adidas sneakers to Ecco wingtips, so that was a bad sign. The second thing I noticed was the fabric/elastic bands stitched onto the tongue. I noticed them because their unfinished edges were thick and rough enough to painfully scratch my feet on every step. Thinking Vans just run small I exchanged them for the next size up, and had the exact same problems. It's a shame the build quality is so terrible. These are very nice-looking shoes, but I'd rather go barefoot than spend a day in them.

I love these shoes; this is my second pair. I get lots of compliments on them. Vans don't provide a lot of arch support, but that can be solved with shoe inserts. Great shoes!

My grandson who wears a size 15 shoe loves Vans. I got them for him for his 17th birthday.

I love the simplicity of this shoe but they come sized a bit tight. Order 1/2 size larger.

I had been wanting to buy this shoe for a long time and finally did it. I love these shoes. Sure comfy and can be dressed up or down.

My son was so excited to get these cool skate shoes. But even though they are plenty big enough, after wearing briefly one time, he developed a painful blister on the back of his heel/ankle. Along the opening/top of the shoes there is a thick, stiff lining that is really uncomfortable and rubs in the back. He refuses to wear them now, such a shame because the style is really great.

I bought these for my son at his request. They are the only shoes he will wear...so comfortable, in style. And affordable.
