I bought these for work (bartender) because they a.) Are breathable and b.) In all black. However I was disappointed that when I tried them on with my uniform they looked like a slipper and with very hard on my feet just while standing. Maybe if one put an arch support in them they would feel better, but I chose to return them. Also they seem to run a half size small.

Wears hard. Only lasted eight months before the sides cracked where the top of the foot bends, which caused the fabric on top to start splitting. It seems like this was due to the VERY soft rubber bottoms, which are ok for the street but don't walk on any rocks. I recommend these for light city travel only- don't use it as your main utility shoe.

Great shoes.I have bought two or three different pairs of shoes from ZAPPOS and I love them, but, the VANS have two problems. One, the inside is coming apart a little, and I have to keep wiggling my toes to get the cloth out of my toes. And two, a piece of the rubber at the third toe on the top for the shoe is pulled off. I have been wearing them because these were for my wedding in las vegas so I just deal with it. Thanks ZAPPOS. John

Reaction to Vans Slip-On Classics - Although the shoes are my usual nominal size, they are too small, even without socks. They do not have adequate sole inserts, which, worse still, are not removable, making it almost impossible to install proper orthotics. The brand tag is excessive and awkward, but can, thankfully, be cut off. I appreciate that no leather is used. I do like the overall design, particularly the classic simplicity, and lack of stripes, wings, and other extraneous ornament.

My perfect yard slippers... You can't run in these, or expect to find a lot of walking comfort; these are 'style' and are just right for the front yard, buzzing over to the store, etc. The glue at the top of my left toe was rough, so I had to put a piece of duct tape...

Pain is beauty - These shoes are really neat looking and I loved them, got lots of compliments on them too. The only thing is, towards the end of the day my feet were starting to hurt really bad. They don't have comfort at all. Also NO arch support. Infect I had to buy my own padding to put into them. But I guess pain is beauty!

Good little slip on shoe, just don’t expect comfort. Might as well buy some arch supports, or heel supports before you even put them on.

Van's Slip On Shoes - I ordered these for my son. He's been wearing them for a couple of years now. He loves the way they look. My only complaint is that they seem to fall apart quickly. I've noticed on the past few pairs that the material separates from the sole within a few months.

Great look ... for the first day - I bought these shoes for my son as an easy slip on shoe for the summer. He was very excited to get them so I let him wear them to school, since school was almost over. After a few days of wear, they looked like he had been wearing them for months. After a few weeks of wear, the rubber on the sides started to separate from the canvas. If you are buying these for the retro-style, I would suggest only wearing them for special occasions. They will not hold-up to everyday wear.

Van's Classic Slip-On - Shoe is stylish & easy to slip on & off but has no arch support whatsoever. After 4-5 days of wearing the inner heel started wearing a sore spot on my foot.

Great Shooz but not awesome... Zappos may not like my review... they're okay, good for what I got them for. Going to the river or beach, or a short walk to the drug store. Not the most comfortable but these are well worth the money I paid for them. They'll last me a life time and will probably get more comfortable with age too.

nice shoes - Those are nice shoes, it is better to keep price low on those shoes, but those who are looking for everyday, casual shoes you need those.

Classy Van's - I ordered the blue and gold check pattern slip-ons. I love the look and the convenience of this slip-on. The shoe does seem to be sized a little small though. I can order almost any make of show in size 11 with confidence in the fit. This shoe seems about one half size smaller than advertised.

Blue and Orange Slip ons - I was slightly disappointed when I got the shoes. The picture showed them to be a good bit lighter than they are...it made them look like a sky blue and a sherbert orange, but...they are very bright as I came to find out. Good shoes though.

Shoe would look better faded - I am going to have to do some serious work on this shoe, it comes out of the box looking way to perfect. It would look great with camoflage pants but only after i stick it in the wash with some bleach for a few turns. Out of the box it the colors are way too bright. No way you can match it to any other greens.

I've gotten the perf slip on for years in both the black and white. I reorder the white recently in the same size as always (women's 7.5) and they are suddenly way to wide. Slip right off my feet when walking.

The slip-on tongue on these shoes is a massive design flaw as it doesn't have enough flexibility to allow you to put your foot in. I have a pair of lace-up Van's that are nearly identical and they fit fine.

I ordered these for my daughter and they fit well. They are pure white so they will get dirty 5 minutes after you wear them- that's to be expected. What I didn't expect was for them to tear up after about a month of wearing them. The quality of this particular sneaker is poor. I don't suggest them at all.

I like the way these shoes look on other people, so I decided to order a pair. I normally wear an 8.5, which is the size I ordered. They felt wayyy too small. I had a hard time even getting them on. Like it felt like I needed a shot horn! I'm returning these. I would definitely recommend ordering these at least a half a size up if not a whole size.

I wear a womens 10.5. I ordered an 11. These shoes were so narrow and tight that I had to fight to get them on. They instantly cut circulation off and I couldn't pry them off my feet fast enough. If you have anything other than narrow Cinderella feet, pass on these shoes. The construction and quality of the canvas was good, though. Too bad I can't wear them.

This shoes look awesome but are horribly uncomfortable. Insufficient insole padding, and absolutely no padding at the heel aside from a little ridge right along the lip of the heel (which digs into my heel, causing more pain than comfort). I've had to add aftermarket Dr. Scholl's insoles and moleskin padding at the heel to make these even halfway tolerable, and they still hurt the bottoms and backs of my heels after a couple hours of wear. This is a huge disappointment as I have a different pair of lace-up vans that has none of these issues and is super-comfortable. Also, I've noticed that Vans all tend to run a size smaller than labeled (e.g. their 12 is actually an 11, their 13 is actually a 12, etc).

These are comfortable and stylish shoes, but they don't hold up very well. I wore a pair regularly for about 4 months, just on casual Fridays at work and on the weekends, and they now look extremely beat up. The sole has worn away in the heal area from driving, the sidewalls of the sole are cracked in numerous places and the fabric on top is wearing through near the pinkie toe. I feel that a shoe (even a cheap one) should last at least a year. It's not like I was skateboarding or anything... just casual wear. I won't be purchasing again.

Not good without socks. In terms of style and utility, these are exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately I'm returning them because the padded white part that wraps around the back and sides of your ankle is vinyl. The plan was to have a shoe to frequently wear without socks, for biking around the neighborhood, walking, etc. That white part needs to be fabric or leather in order to feel OK against your skin.

Great fitting shoe, but with one notable drawback - the rubber that runs around the sole separates from the shoe quickly. I've worn Vans for a few years now, and have never had this problem with any other shoes of theirs, except for the black on black slip ons. I've had two pair within the past month and a half and I'm very disappointed that they're coming apart so easily.
