These vans are so cute , it’s just that they run small ,

This is my first pair of Vans. I've been a Chucks girl for 20+ years, but I was unhappy with the look of my last pair of Converse slip-ons and decided to try alternatives when they finally wore out. I am almost always a 9 Medium in womens shoes. 9.5 in running shoes and sometimes heels. I wear a 9 (7 mens) in Converse. Zappos recommended a 9.5 for me in this shoe. I ordered both the 9 and 9.5 to try out. The 9s initially felt tight on the toes and were a little difficult to get on my foot. The 9.5s were easier to get on, but felt a bit long in the toe. Both fit in the heel. Based on other reviewers' mentions of stretching, I decided to keep the 9s and will be returning the 9.5s. These shoes have zero arch support. They are not uncomfortable for me, but as my late 30s feet like a little more support and comfort in my everyday kicks now, I may purchase the cushysole version of this shoe in the future. I want to note two other things: I was concerned if stretching only occurred in the width / around the ankle or also in the length. Happy to report that within just 5 - 10 mins of wearing them around the house, the 9s stretched lengthwise and no longer felt too tight on my toes. I am actually wondering if they will stretch Too much, as they feel slightly loose around my ankle now. Also want to note that I ordered both 9s and 9.5s in color: "(Checkerboard) Black/Black", but as you can see from the photo, the 9s have a sheen/shininess in the gray, whereas in the 9.5s, the gray is matte.

I wear an 8 (I can fit in to 7.5 in shoes as well--depending on the shoe) but generally feel better in an 8. I ordered an 8 in these and they were too big! I probably wont exchange them right now, but if I buy these down the road, I'll be ordering a 7.5.

I bought these for hospital work due to the great soles, but after only a week the canvas of the toes ripped! luckily I was able to quickly return these!

These are comfy and good slip on shoes. Good for walking around the city.

The right shoe fits looser than the left shoe. I don't think I can return them because I wore them for a full day to work (indoor & outdoor) but by the end of the day it was very annoying and makes me not want to wear them. Very sad because I love the mono color combo and deliberated on getting these for a long time to end up feeling like I wasted my money.

I've always wanted a pair of these shoes and I'm glad I finally bought them. They're comfortable and they look nice enough to wear for a night out. Also, I now realize life is too short for laces.

Classic and go with just about any outfit! Perfect for walking around a big city!

The first time I wore them I went to the mall, it was a disaster they rubbed the back of my ankle until I bled. After a couple of days I broke them in and they’re great.

These are great shoes, but if you have wide feet they will surely rip on the side after a while. My feet aren't super wide but they ripped after 6 months.

I have a pair of Vans authentics which are a 6.5. The break in period for those shoes was about 6-10 full days wear. In this shoe I was nowhere near getting the 6.5 on my foot, but I ordered the 7 at the same time, just in case. I ended up keeping the 7. Another reviewer mentioned the back of the shoe having a "sticky" or "tacky" consistency, and I found this to be true. The first time I wore them, they tore the back of my ankle to pieces. I don't skate but I wanted my own pair of dang daniels and the style is super versatile. I will wear them around the home with higher socks until the back of them breaks in and no longer has that sticky feeling. I definitely recommend protecting them with a spray, my dog stepped on mine with a muddy paw before I had a chance and it took ages to get the mark she left out using a toothbrush and dishsoap.

Stylish and just what my son was looking for, we had to exchange his normal 8.5 size for a 9 because the shoe ran short and narrow.

Great shoe. Tried shoes three times more expensive. Came back to Vans for fit and quality. Can’t be beat for $59.00. Size is spot on. More arch support, or at least a removable insert, would be nice.

Very stylish well-made slip on shoes but it's kind of a half size smaller I usually ware size 7.5 but this style ware size 8

I’ve been wanting these for a while. Since they are new, they rubbed harshly aghast my ankle. I just wear low flat socks with them until I wear them out. But overall they’re amazing!!

Ordered too big. Will return for smaller size.

Classic checkerboard Vans, I love you and I hate you but I just can’t quit you. Yes, you take forever to break in properly and still sometimes give me a blister or 2 because I refuse to wear socks with you. Yes, you make my feet look huge and have zero arch support or padding. Just like the bad boy you can’t stop obsessing over - you’re terrible for me but I just can’t give you up. When I die you can pry my stinky checkerboard Vans from my cold dead hands.

It seems like Vans doesn't make the black suede version anymore, which is a bummer, but the minute I received this black canvas pair, I slipped them on and my feet felt home. I love Vans Slip-On Classics.

Great shoe, came in quickly, but the edge of where the sole and the canvas comes together cracks fairly quickly.

This arrived on time. They fit perfectly. I put a small arch support in them. I sail and they were great on a wet deck.

Bought these as a gift. He loves them. Very sporty yet classic. They are a very versitile shoe. They are the whitest sneakers out there, honestly the shoe is snow white! I'm sure they'll get pretty dirty relatively quick but there're still very nice.

Love these shoes. I wear them all the time. Even do long hikes in them!
