Comfort on the Run - A very stylish and comfortable shoe. New Balance comes with high recommendations from my foot doctor. The shoe fits true to size and is very comfortable with excellent arch support.

Finally a sneaker that fits - Tried many sneakers, but with very wide feet it's been difficult finding a fit. DSL-2 last fits me great.

Great fit and excellent support - I wear a 12 4 E and these fit perfect. I rebuild houses for a living and so up and down a ladder a lot. My feet aren't tired at the end of the day and love Zappos prices and quality. Mark

Comfort for the wide foot - Try finding a truly comfortable 6E shoe that doesn't look like Frankenstein's. This shoe gives good support, looks good (indents at side), and totally comfortable from first wear.

854 - Great fit feels good on the feet. I had to buy arch supports. I still gave this a 5 star rating. Solid shoe for everyday. Good shoe to walk in or play/run.

I have been buying and wearing New Balance shoes for years, and this is the most comfortable shoe I've purchased yet.

It is a good shoe, but very stiff. I use them for circuit training and bosu workouts. They are good for stability but a little stiff for comfort.

Excellent shoe. I really like the shoe. It's very comfortable. It does feel a little small though almost like NB has reduced the size of their lasts. I used to buy a size 15 from them. Now a size 16 almost feels too small.

New Balance MX854 - I have previously owned a pair of these shoes, and have been very pleased overall (with the exception of price). I bought two pairs with this order as I have custom orthotics, and it took me months to find a pair of shoes that were comfortable with my insoles. Many shoes have an arch built into the sole that causes a pressure point on the arch of my foot when my custom insoles are put in. Others do not have removable insoles. Didn't really have a choice, but to pay the price for this shoe. Zappos’ price was the same as local shoe stores, but they came overnight, instead of a 2-week special order. I wish there were more affordable options on the market--the orthotics are expensive enough!

Works for the wide foot - My husband has really wide feet shoes that do not have sufficient support and cause blisters. These are wonderful. He is wearing them without complaint. Zappos is great because I bought 11 pair of shoes and returned 9 of them. I love Zappos.

NB MX 854 - Solid construction, great durability, fair fit. Understand that this is strictly a cross-training shoe. Your feet will heat up quickly if you try to run distance in these. Great for weight room. The toe box may be a little snugger than you'd like. My foot rubs against the inside stitching for the "N" logo. Recommended.

Comfortable shoes only required 1 day to break them in so I could use them to walk in. I walk in sand often so I like the way the shoe fits around my ankle to keep the sand out of my shoe.

New type of sneaker - So far I have been quite happy with the sneaker. This is the first time I am trying a motion control sneaker, so I am probably not the best person to evaluate it. However, I will probably buy the sneaker again.

Big John compares - This shoe is comfortable but I like the New Balance 1007 better. It costs more but it feels lighter and fits my feet better.

New Balance - The shoes fit right, but can be a tad uncomfortable on my Big Toe upper bone. Not sure if this is a "break in" thing. Otherwise the shoe is nice.

Nice Shoe, But Arch Support is Minimal. Nice quality! I wear an 8.5 EEEE and the show felt nice on my feet. The only thing that I don't like about it is the minimal Arch Support. In this price range I would have expected better. Nevertheless, I will keep it, as an EEEE width is hard to find.

Wide shoes that fit me! I just received my New Balance MX854 WN 6E 3xwide shoe and they actually fit me!! No side pressure on my feet...I don't know how they will last yet or if after I wear them a day or two if I will still like the fit....I have problems with the back of the shoe hurting my heal and up the side of my foot...So I will let you know how they test after I exercise for a few weeks!

Something in my shoe - After purchasing these shoes, and wearing them for 8 hours on my feet as an RN, I kept feeling like my socks had bunched up under the ball of both feet. I repeatedly took my shoes off, took out the insole, without discovering anything that would give this sensation, except long threads extending from the toe, which I trimmed. This has not resolved the issue, but as I needed new work shoes, I continue to wear them, despite this mysterious issue.

New Balance MX854 - They have changed the design so there are five lace holes on each side instead of six. Now I have to use the top lace hole which makes it uncomfortable, but four holes don't hold the shoes snug enough.

I hope this shoe is replaced with a more supportive model - This shoe is not very supportive for your ankles and I had to replace the insoles with Dr. Scholl's insoles, it offers perfect stability for my weak ankles but is very clunky. I do not recommend this for serious cross training.
