Walkers - Very comfortable if the right size is chosen--good support and great service.

Good shoe - I wear a 12A dress shoe, but these felt just fine when first put on and still do. I've had flat feet my entire life, so arch support is not a consideration. Had knee problems from wearing my old New Balances too long. These Brooks have alleviated that problem and I will buy another pair or two.

A walk on the warm side - I bought the Brooks Addiction Walker because it came in a variety of widths. I wear a hard-to-fit men's B width. The Brooks Addiction Walker serves as an all-around walking and semi-formal shoe. Good for a vacation where you want to avoid the all-white sneaker that marks you as the American Tourist, but that vacation should not be in a warm country because the Brooks shoe does not breathe very well. However, the fit is true and the shoe has excellent support and cushioning. One measure of the shoe's comfort is that once it is on the foot, you might forget you are wearing it, but not if it is too warm. Style-wise, these shoes are acceptable because they blend in.

Brooks Addiction Walker - After I retired from being a "suit" I promised myself that I would no longer wear uncomfortable shoes no matter what the dress code. I have been looking for a shoe with maximum comfort and maximum support to wear on a trip to Italy this fall AND a shoe that my spouse will find acceptable for almost any occasion. Taking advantage of Zappos generous policy, I ordered five different brands of walking shoes and tried them on. This shoe came out on top in all categories and especially in arch support which is critical for me. I did have to go a half size larger than I normally wear because a 12D was too tight but the 12.5 is perfect. This is odd because I have worn a 12D forever. I am anxious to try them out for real on our trip.

Good Shoe - Comfortable shoe. I have a narrow foot and the B size felt just right. I would have liked a little more arch support but overall it fits great.

Pretty good shoe! I walk about two hours per day. Overall, I would rate the shoes are comfortable...they absorb road/sidewalk shock well, have very good support, and breathe pretty well. They are a little heavier than running sneakers and fit a little tight. They are slippery when it is wet out, I almost fell recently.

A fast walker - At first, although comfortable the soles felt a bit firmer than I expected but after a few walks I realized that in fact they felt supportive and comfortable. As a fast walker, this shoe seems to propel you forward, making walking seem easier, even and there is very little heat build up. I like the way the way they seem to isolate my feet from the ground but make me feel perfectly in control. I've had them about 4 or 5 weeks and walk 2-3 times a day for 15 min./ 5 days a week and so far they've shown no sign of wear and overall I'm happy with them. They could have slightly more arch support for my feet but they are reasonably good looking and neat and I would recommend them readily.

Value and convenience of the internet ordering - I was pleased to discover the Brooks Addiction Walker. I find it somewhat comparable with the New Balance 925 Walker which I also ordered. It is a slightly lighter shoe in weight and construction but a good value for the money -- about $10-15 less than local stores.

Still getting them worked in - This is a substantial shoe. I walk around Central Park (5-6 miles) every day and it's still taking a while (owned only a month) to loosen them up although my main reason for getting them was to have a comfortable black shoe for events and they are perfect for that. I feel I have to give them more time to be more complete on my review.

Great shoe, but small - The shoe itself is great, I bought it because I needed a sturdy shoe to hold my flat foot inserts, while looking decent enough to wear at work. Unfortunately, I should have ordered 1/2 size larger. I am usually 9.5-10, so I ordered 10. The more I wore them the more I realized I should have ordered a size 10.5. Still, I plan to buy another pair.

Brooks Addiction is great. I have always worn the Brooks Beast, but wanted an all leather shoe. It is just as good as the Beast, and the only negative is that it is not the greatest looking shoe in the world. Very good for walkers with pronation problems.

Brooks Addiction Walker, White - This is my first Brooks. Good construction, good comfort. It seems larger than my other 4E shoes. I put in some Bioflow (magnetic) insoles and the shoe fits perfectly now. I am on my feet all day (retail) and this shoe helps me endure that. I will definitely try Brooks again.

Addiction review - My third pair. Most comfortable shoe I have ever owned!

Addiction Walker - Second pair. First pair lasted one year and was used as a work shoe on pavement. Both pairs very comfortable and my only complaint is that they are hot shoes to wear. The new pair is a little different style but still satisfactory. I don't know what a five star shoe would feel like so I rated these four. If they had better ventilation maybe these would get a five.

Since I have an "A" width food I wish they were available in that size. It seems as though most shoe manufacturers no longer make the narrow widths which makes it difficult to find shoes with a totally satisfactory fit. Although the Addiction Walker is quite comfortable I'm sure it would be more so with a more precise fit.

Great work shoe - I'm a police officer so I'm on the move at work a lot. I have flat feet so I need support comfort and must have plain black. I've had it out in rain and snow and feet stayed dry and warm. It's a very solid shoe, comfort very good and support is excellent. I would have gave 4.5 stars if it was a option.

Excellent Fit - Sizing is near perfect. Not "pretty" but my feet and back don't care.

Good work shoe - This is one shoe that comes in my size. I walk all day on concrete and it helps my feet and legs not hurt. The shoe doesn't get too hot on my foot. Only wish that my work would consider it. Work pays for steel toed shoes only and they don't come in my size.

Very comfortable but not very stylish - Very solid, well built shoe with a great feel for walking. Not very stylish but this sort of show usually isnt in my experience.

Comfort is all that matters - These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.

Tight shoes - When I tried these shoes on and wore them around the house, they were very comfortable. Unfortunately when I wore them outside for any period of time exceeding a couple of hours, they pressed heavily on the top of my feet and are so uncomfortable that I have to take them off. When I purchased these shoes, I also bought Brooks sneakers with this order, and they are great.

Flat as a plate - I am used to shoes with arch support and a cupping of my foot. This shoe is flat inside as if you were walking on the floor only with cushioning. This is not what I expected. Perhaps I did not read the info carefully enough. After reading the information on the box, is seems that Brooks has other shoes that offer arch support and pronation correction. Just not in the "linear design"

Not a bad shoe - This is not a bad shoe, but not nearly as good as the previous version of the Addiction Walker. The exterior leather and insole are cheaper and thinner than the previous model. Overall, still a good shoe.

What’s up with the chintzy shoe laces? First of all kudos to Zappos; it's nice to find a reliable company to deal with. I bought a pair of Brooks Addiction Walkers and yes, they are comfortable. BUT why do they put such short, unattractive shoe laces on their shoes? Before I wear them I will have to go and buy shoe laces. I can't follow the logic of a company that does something like that. Would I buy a pair of Brooks again? Probably not; there are a lot of other shoe manufacturers that also sell a comfortable product and don't try to rip you off on the shoe laces.

Very disappointed! These shoes not only feel a half to a full size smaller, they fit very tight everywhere on my foot, except the heel area, where they slip a little! The sole is stiffer than I expected. The cushioning effect seems to be o.k., but my feet felt like they were burning in no time, because as I said they feel too "short" and to narrow also. By the way, why are the laces so doggone short? Will be returning these. Sorry, Zappos, think I will have to give up on shopping online. Too bad, because your service is just great!!!
