My husband's last pair of Birkenstocks last about 10 years. He bought the same pair from Bean and hopes it lasts another 10 years. He is very well satisfied!

These Birks fit my feet very well. I had a pair of Arizonas years ago, and these feel just as nice on my very hard to fit feet. I'm still in the break in stage, but am confident they will give me years of use.
I'd also recommend:
Chacos Z-1/Cloud, but they are heavier and more technical looking

These are the original Birkenstocks with traditional footbed and suede insoles and uppers, which I think are superior to the other options that use synthetic materials and soft footbeds. I am a size 9 or 40 and the 40 Birkenstocks are a perfect fit.

Ordered the 8 - 8.5 equivalent
He has a narrow foot.

My first pair of Birkenstock sandals! I researched and contemplated this purchase. In short, excellent fit - 39 (I take an 8 US size). I wore them in the house to break them in and they molded to my feet and are so comfortable.

I've loved Birks since I discovered them 35 years ago, pregnant with my first child. Since then, my children and I have all worn them through the years and they remain a great choice for sandals. Love this color. First, bought a size to large, so I ordered a size down and they are perfect.

I have a few other styles of Birkenstock sandals but have been wanting to try the double strap. I was in the store recently and saw a pair on sale for $89 but they weren't in my size. They ordered my size and shipped to my house. I got the black ones which are so nice and look almost Navy.

Another pair of a great old favorite; have had many of this style over the years. Good fit. Accurate width at regular, unlike other Birkenstocks that say Regular but are really narrow. This is a tried and true Birkenstock.

So comfortable and stylish, these can be unisex as I wear the men's version (I have wide feet). They go with everything and I can walk miles in them, even while breaking them in!

I bought the original footbed 20 years ago--they are still my first aid when I have an injured/sore foot. Veered away to soft footbed past several years. I just received this new pair (taupe suede)--with the original footbed. They are still the best when you need that arch support. I love them.

My husband has very wide feet with a high instep and therefore has a hard time finding shoes that fit. These sandals fit and are very comfortable. This is about his fourth pair!!

I LOVE my Birks! I wear a size 9.5 and ordered a 40, they were too small, so I sent them back for a 41, they fit perfect! My foot is narrow, so this size fit perfect. Take note these will not be comfortable on a WIDE foot! It took it couple days to break them in, but now they are my go-to-shoes!
