Chacos for all -
Very comfortable, with great arch support. My family members each have a pair that we plan to use on a vacation involving plenty of walking. The toe strap wants to tighten during use, however, but because I have a very narrow foot, I still prefer this style over the others. Not super chic, but that is not the purpose of this shoe. Overall, we love Chacos!!

Chaco Z/2 -
Cute with anything, and super comfortable. I started wearing Chaco's about a year ago and love them. I need to move to a warmer state so that I can wear them year around. Yes, they are that comfortable!

From a Narrow/Flat Footer -
While these sandals are not as perfect as I had hoped (for the price), they are probably the best option for someone with narrow feet. The straps adjusted tight enough for my very narrow feet to be secure. The arch is not as high as I need it to be. If flat feet are a major concern I would suggest a sandal/athletic shoe (ie: KEEN) that allows for an orthotic. The foot beds are not soft at all, with little shock absorption. I cannot exercise (backpack, fitness walk) in them comfortably, but I can wear them all day around the house and on errands without discomfort. They were heavier than I expected and took a couple of days to get used to. Now that I am used to them, I do really like them. Through the day's wear the straps sometimes tighten too much around the big toes and need to be readjusted. I had hoped that foot odor wouldn't be a problem with a rubber footbed and good ventilation- WRONG. They do make my feet stink. At least they can be washed easily.

Just received the shoe and was shocked at how heavy it is. I had to return them due to the strap coming just under my ankle which wouldn't do well for any length of walk. The instep also felt awkward. Overall I liked the looked, but not the feel.

I bought this style sandal some years ago before they changed the footbed which is now manufactured by a different company. It felt to me like the strap running under the ball of the foot could be felt through, as if it were an 'arch' support on the ball of the foot. I really wanted these to be as delightful as the old 'last'/footbed was, but I'm having trouble. I also have a wide foot with high arches, but at least with Zappos I'm able to get more choices! I just tried a Clark shoe (Un.Loop) and it fit so well, I'm checking out their sandals, now.

They're fine, but I don't love them -
If I had it to do over, I'd probably look elsewhere. The sandals do offer good support and stand up to hours of walking, but the straps need constant adjustment and if they are not adjusted just right, they rub after awhile. They also tend to kick up dirt and gravel if you're on a dirt path, which then gets stuck on the footbed and one's foot. They look fine, maybe even good in a crunchy granola kind of way. I like them, they serve me well, but I don't love them… and for the price, I feel like I should.

Stays secure -
Mixed review of Chaco. Love the way it stays secure on foot, never sloppy. Good for walking trails, but not all day. I wish for a little more cushion, and the diamond patterned footbed can irritate feet after a while. The other problem is the strap is too long and would drag on the ground if I didn't tuck it somewhere. Overall for all day wear I'd prefer a good pair of walking shoes unless it's really hot outside, then this sandal would be better. They are pricey so unless I found them on sale, would probably not buy them again.

Not for me...
I had high hopes for this shoe, but I'm returning it.
The good;
- The color (Razz) is beautiful. I love the way the shoe looks, and the thick sole.
- The straps in front are fully adjustable, including the toe loop. You just pull on them, and more strap comes out of the sole. Very cool design. Also the front straps are very soft, not the hard nylon that Tevas tend to have.
The problems:
- My feet tend to be a little wide - I'm between a B and a C width. I find that the footbed on the C width I ordered is no wider than the B width in the other Chacos I ordered.
- For this kind of sandal, these are very heavy.
- The big problem for me is that the strap towards the ankle that holds the adjustable strap to the shoe is extremely rough - I couldn't even wear the shoe to walk across a room, let alone try to wear them in. I'm not sure why Chaco's would put something so rough on a shoe and expect it to be against human skin.

Not So Great -
I bought the Chacos because so many people told me they were the best. Instead I found that after wearing them for several hours my feet actually hurt. I did not have this problem with the Teva sandals I bought at the same time.
I actually wore the Tevas for almost the entire three weeks I was in India and Nepal because wearing the Chacos for very long wasn't an option. Would return them if I could. Definitely will choose Teva over Chaco from now on.

I have worn Chaco Z/1s for about 15 years. This is my first pair of Z/2s, and they are not working for me. The toe loop cuts between my toes, and I can't just slip the shoes on easily, I have to work to get my toe in the strap. Love Chacos, just not the Z/2s.

Zappos, I have no problem with you, your service is excellent. However, I've never been so disappointed in a product as I was with these sandals. Friends raved about them, reviews online were great, but they truly disappointed me! They are not completely adjustable to fit any foot. I have wide feet, ordered a wide size. When they are adjusted to fit my foot, the buckle is on top of my ankle! Very unattractive!

Doesn't fit wide feet...
I was very disappointed when I got my sandals in the mail today. I ordered 10 wides, which usually fit me with any well-made shoe, but this sandal was much too small for my foot. My foot couldn't squeeze in at all and the top strap is entirely unadjustable. I don't recommend these to anyone with wide feet. I'll be sending my pair back.

Amazing shoe! I bought this in 2008 for a river rafting trip. I have worn them ever since…rafting, kayaking, sightseeing for weeks in Europe, hiking in Tuscany. Sadly, they have finally bit the dust, the sole separating. They had Vibram soles and I shall custom order through Chacos to get that sole again, since sadly, beloved Zappos does not carry the Vibram sole.

I have difficult feet and finding sandals is a huge challenge but I think these are going to work. They provide good arch support, ability to customize the fit a bit. I did not think that I would like the piece between my toes (I have avoided that for years) but that is not a problem with these sandals.

Wow! This sandal really handles my kayaking and light hiking needs. I've tried others and this one finally was up to the task. No foot slippage in water/mud and I've been able to take fairly aggressive 5 mile hike with no foot discomfort, blistering or chafing. I live in AZ and a fully closed water/hiking show just gets too hot. Note: please be very patient with the strap adjustment. It will be worth it!

I had initially purchased these in the green and brown color in both a size 9 and 10. I normally wear a 9.5 and wasn't sure what to get. As my purpose for wearing them is for light hiking/hiking with water, I wanted them to have a little more room in the toes so I don't stub my toe on rocks. This led me to choosing the size 10. Unfortunately with my narrow foot, the straps were way too loose, so I returned them both, feeling let down. However, I had an upcoming trip that I needed them for, so I re-ordered them in a 10 in the blue/gray color. Magically, they fit!
They are comfortable and only took a couple 1-2 hour walks to break them in. The sole of the shoe can be a little rough at first, but give them a chance! I can see how if you have normal to wide feet, the medium width may be too narrow, which is what I read in other reviews.
Overall, I am very satisfied and love these sandals. Perfect for non-technical hiking, especially on hiking trips where you walk through streams. I can tell I will be wearing them quite often. If you have a normal to wider foot, definitely purchase the wide width. I'm not sure why the strap lengths were different on the different colored but same styled sandal, but it somehow worked out in my favor!

I love this Chaco Unaweep sandal, from the very first time worn. Comfortable, fits perfect, like the way it looks. I had the sandals on for 12 hours the first day and my feet never complained. Usually I cannot stand to wear any shoes for very long and like going barefoot best.

I bought a pair of Chaco's several years ago. I absolutely love them. I get asked all the time, what kind of shoe do I have on. These have been my favorite go to shoe for everything and they look great. I wear them with Linen beach pants, summer dresses and to work since we have a casual dress code. The arch is great, straps adjust to your fit. Great sport sandal for men, women and children. Get in any color. Love, love, love!

These sandals are amazing! You might think they don't fit just right - they're tight here or loose there. But, voila, watch the YouTube instruction video and find that all straps are adjustable until they fit you perfectly. And this model has a sole that lasts forever. These are sandals you'll buy once in a long time! Love them.

I am surprised at how much I dig these Chacos. They are my first pair and I shall be wearing them all summer. They are way cuter on then I imagined and made my recent trip to Mexico quite comfortable. They are so much better than wearing flip flops all the time and were great to have on hikes. I don't really think I have wide feet but ordered the regular and wide and wound up keeping the wide.

I need sandals for river rafting. My podiatrist had recommended the Chaco brand. I did not have high expectations but these sandals could not have been better. The straps are easy to adjust, the instructions are on the inside of the box. Ended up hiking in them and the red dust washed right off.

I love these shoes. I have tried other Chacos, but keep coming back to this one type. I wear them all the time in the summer, and even have done some crazy hikes in them (especially nice on the downhill so my toes don't jam into the front of my shoes). Highly recommended. I love the tougher and thicker tread of the Unaweep as well.

This is my first pair of Chaco's. I've been a loyal Keen wearer for years with a smattering of Teva. I have to say that I really like these. I'm not sure I would call them the most stylish shoes I've ever worn, but they are one of the more comfortable. It took a bit to adjust them to fit just right, but once I did, I was set. They are heavy shoes in hand, but really don't feel heavy on foot, which I was surprised and happy about. I don't usually write reviews on products, but I'm so pleased with these that I felt compelled. This won't be my last pair of Chacos!

I am not a fan of the look of these sandals but I was convinced by many Chaco lovers to get them before a trip to the UK. I am so glad I got this pair. They are lightweight enough to not not send the luggage over, small enough to throw in the backpack before heading out for the day, and comfy enough to walk miles upon miles though hilly country sides and unstable paths in the cities. I was warned that they can cause blisters until you get the straps just right for your feet, so I made sure to wear these a few hours at the end of the day (as we were walking to dinner and back) to break them in. I wore them almost every day of our 13 day adventure. I highly recommend for traveling!

These things are the last word! Its like they cut the sole off a mountain boot and strapped them onto your foot with duck tape, open toes and rock scrabbling all the way. They don't budge. And, they are incredibly comfortable! A little gravel from wadding in the river is the only down.
