I purchased these because my son had bought several of them and just raved about how comfortable they were. I went on line and decided to buy the woman's shoe that was the same as my son's. The strap between the toes hurts, my toes almost hung over the end of the shoe as the strap is not set back far enough of the front of the shoe, and I had about an inch at the back of the heel, too long. I couldn't wear them more than 40 minutes the first day as my feet were killing me. I wear a size 8.5 wide and they recommended buying the next size up. I am not impressed with these shoes. I have bought Spenco sandals for years and just love the fit and comfort. I can wear them ALL day! They are the same price as these Reef's but Reef is not worth the money. I would not recommend buying these sandals at all!

I love the way they look. But they are really uncomfortable, stiff and rigid. The toe piece is too thick and has given me a blister. For the cost and potential, it was a major letdown.

I was not happy with the color. It was supposed to be red but to me looks more like an orange. I was disappointed because I was really looking forward to wearing them with several outfits.

I have owned several pairs of reef sandals. I love the fanning!! I have always purchased in a store but decided to buy online. Waited the 7 somethings days to get my sandals only to get the wrong pair. They were nice enough to send out new ones next day once I sent back the other sandals. I finally got the correct sandals. However I am kind of disappointed in them. One I ordered size 10 and they barely fit (every other shoe I am a size 9). I sized them to an older pair of fannings I have and they are NOT a size 10. There is no way. But the sandals are the most uncomfortable sandals I have ever had from Reef. It is hard to explain well but one sandal fits perfect like it has been stretched or worn before and one sandal is extremely tight and hurts to wear. I am really hoping they stretch out because they aren't cheap shoes. Which is one of the reasons I buy these sandals because they do last so long. I just hope they get comfortable so I can have them for a long time!!

I have been wearing size 9 Reef Fanning's for years and this is the first time I ordered a 9 and it didn't fit. Would not recommend buying them without trying them on.

The style remains cool, but the quality is waning. My reefs used to last for 2 summers of use, but over the last few years, they tear apart before the season ends (and I live in New England where the summers are short!). I'm really disappointed with the product. The problem each time is the toe strap delaminating or completely tearing through all the layers.

I've had many pairs of reefs, but this pair was stiff between toes .... Ouch!

My husband loves these, He's on his 5th pair, is as many ears, and thats the problem. At this price point, and a branded name product, I would expect them to last much longer at this price. This time he took to only wearing them out on special occiasions, and we only got 14 months out of them. I'm kinda over Reef's at this price point. The value just isn't there.

All-in-all a comfortable flip flop, but for the amount of money I paid I was hoping for more than 2 summers worth of wear in New England. Straps chafed pretty bad until they broke in after a few weeks of wearing. Ultimately these did not hold up to the "rigors" of my daily summer life - the treads on the bottom of the sole wore first, becoming very slippery and the thongs have ripped out from the sole. The bottle opener is pointless - I don't want sand, dirt, bottom-sole-funk on my beer...just sayin. This time I paid for the brand name and ultimately got burned on an overpriced pair of flip flops.

I love the footbed and the cushioning of these, but could barely get them on. The strap is way too tight. I guess everyone else has very flat feet. I love the way they look and the footbed felt great from what I could tell. I bought 2 different styles of Reef and they both fit way too tight. Too bad!

This model Reef Fanning is nothing like the ones I replaced. The piece between the toes was very abrasive and cut my toe. It has not healed one month later. I loved my old Reef Fannings. They were comfortable from day one. These were not.

Didn't Like - I liked the shoe. I got the Taupe/pink fanning and they were lightweight and comfortable. I went to Disney for 2 days, came home and cleaned them and the plaid on the band started coming off. Other than that, I would get the Reef Fannings, just a different color.
I'd also recommend:
Reef Leather Slap W in the sand color.

Eh... I love these shoes BUT I am very disappointed in them. I work as a river guide and one day in the sun and these shoes shrunk and the toe curled up. Fifty bucks down the drain. Considering these are shoes for outdoor, sunshine playing people, they aren't made well. OH and I am already missing the R on the REEF label on the side. Cheap-O.

I wear them every chance I get - Great arch support for a flip flop Wish I had bought them before I wasted money on less expensive flip flops.

Not good for high insteps - I normally wear a 7.5 and ordered these in a size 8. They fit in length, but the strap was too snug against my instep. My niece has a high instep like me, and she had the same problem. My sister has a more normal instep, and she loves them (but orders them smaller than her normal size).

I have loved the Reef Fanning flops for years, but when I bought another replacement pair this year, I notice they had changed the material used on the footbed, and I hate the feel of it. They also feel a smidge shorter than the other pairs I've had, uncomfortably so , which is odd, because I'm a 6 1/2 wearing size 7's. Bummer,

Size and fit were o.k. The material forming the upper straps was very thick and stiff and it cut into my feet. I have purchased this style in previous years and it was then comfortable, since the upper material was softer and more pliable.

Although the fit and size were o.k. the comfort was not. I have purchased several pair of this style in previous years which were comfortable but this was not. The upper material was very thick and stiff and cut into my feet. It is the upper strap material which is not comfortable.

I bought a new 9, too big. A new 8, too small. I love my old ones and would like new ones.
