I own several pairs of the slap Reef sandal. I was very disappointed in the pair I just bought b/c the strap is synthetic and not leather as it used to be. I find the synthetic straps make the sandal constricting. I still like Reefs but will not buy this style again.

Runs a bit tight - A lot of Reef styles look very similar, but the fit varies from one style to another. These are about the 5th pair of Reefs I've bought, and they're by far the smallest for the same shoe size. They're a bit short and the straps across the instep are snug enough to rub a blister on my foot.

Reef Slap W - This is the best I've found in a “substantial” flip, i.e. something to the footbed and strap. I wear them to walk, dogs included. Watch it, puppies LOVE them. Could use more of an arch. I've found Reefs inconsistent in sizing. This flip, however, is true, but perhaps slightly wide. The ball has flattened somewhat, I've had them a couple of months. Also good for the beach.

Best flip flops ever - I heard about Reef sandals from a friend and I am now a big fan. These are the most comfortable flip flops I have ever owned.

Reef Slap W - I had to order one size bigger than I normally wear in order to get a good fit. The sticker said 8 but the actual shoe says 7. My real shoe size is 7 so you have to order one size too big to get a good fit.

Comfy, but they rub a little - These flip-flops do have good cushion. They have much more support than your average flip-flop. The only problem I have is that they rub on the side. I have a high instep so that may be the problem.

Slap - I usually don't like thong sandals, but the fabric thong on this shoe is very comfortable. They are nice and soft. I like them very much.

Looks great, feels great! I really love my Reef's (Slap W in blue/white). The arch support is fantastic (I’m pregnant & was concerned about not having enough 'support'). My only gripe is I wear these at the YMCA (to/from swimming) and shower with them, so they are getting a lot of use, but they are feeling like (and looking like) they are 'breaking down' more than I would expect from a pricey flip-flop! Otherwise, I really, really am super happy with this flip-flop and would highly recommend it (esp. if you're not going to be getting them soaked as often as I do). My husband wears his (dry only) and his look brand-new after 2 summers! I think these are great to wear for long stretches, but I wouldn't wear them in the water much (if that's what you're planning).

Comfy and pretty cute - Since receiving my Reefs (I chose the white/charcoal) I had to force myself to put on other shoes and not wear my Reefs everyday! They're very comfy. A little wide, but I have a very narrow foot. I went with the 8 and it fit great even though I have worn an 8.5 or 9 in the past. One trick to clean them: fill your side sink with water and add a little bleach. Soak overnight. It makes them look brand new again and doesn't bleach the charcoal part at all.

Spa Key holder - I ordered the size I usually wear and one size smaller (for my mom). I found both of us needed one size smaller than we wear in regular shoes.

Athletic Flops! These make you feel like you are walking on marshmallows! They are great for my bad back. I usually wear an 8, but I bought a 9 in these. I don't like it when my foot is up on the edge of an open toed shoe.

Love the Reefs! I have had many Reefs throughout the years. They are especially durable for the beach and walking back and forth on many surfaces. I have heel spurs and can only wear them for a short amount of time. I recommend the ones with the gel-like substance in them for extra heel cushioning. I have a few pairs that I switch on and off with. They look great with shorts, capris, jeans and anything casual. I usually wear an 8 1/2, but got an 8 in the Slap and Fanning, and they fit fine. They do stretch width wise. I don't know of another flip flop - I would only buy Reefs!

Great pool-side and locker-room sandal - I picked these up for use in locker-rooms and pool-side. They are great for those functions. Fit and comfort are good. Great grip on slippery concrete.

Great garden shoes... I bought these to wear while working in the garden & they are great!

Comfy Reefs - I love the Reef's, was slightly shocked at how white they really were when I opened the box, but got used to it. They are very comfortable, a little wide and don't make your feet look pretty or anything, but definitely comfortable and cool looking.

Ahhhhhhhhhh!! Talk about comfortable. You don't find many flip flops that are this comfortable. I gave it only 3 stars in "looks" because it is quite an ugly shoe. OK, "ugly" might be a bit harsh as its OK - but it is most definitely only for extremely casual outfits. It is entirely too wide and blunt to dress up in any which way. Other than that - did I mention how comfortable this is??

Very comfortable - These sandals are extremely comfortable. I had a little problem with the size. I ordered a 7 and an 8. Although my foot fit in the smaller sandal my toes were on the border of sticking out as it seems the top near the toes is rather narrow. The larger size was too big as the strap was very loose.

Like no other! I LOVE THESE SHOES! These are true walking shoes - as comfortable as your tennis shoes (or even better). True sight seeing-shoes!

Very cute sandal, and fits true to size. I find on occasion that I need a smaller size for sandals. I'm normally a size 7, but I've gone down to a size 6 in some brands in order to avoid the "sole overhang" of an extra inch or so. The Reef Slap W fit perfectly, true to size. They are very cute and comfortable as well!

Nice sandal, but too small. I don't know who is saying that this sandal is large. This is super small. My foot measures a little larger than 5 and I usually buy a 6. Every single other "molded" reef shoe is a little too large for me, but this shoe was very small. The strap was tight. I have a normal width foot. They would've been very comfortable if the strap wasn't so tight and there was zero room at the toe or heel. Now they are out of size 7's, so I'm out of luck. Oh, well, I really prefer Lucia and Fanning to this model. Much more comfy with equal support.

Comfy, but oversized - I loved these when I slipped them on - they felt great on the soles of your feet and the pink is super cute, but they have a super wide footbed/sole and it makes them look sloppy instead of cute. It is almost like they took a men's sole and used it on the women's shoe. If you are looking for just a casual beach sandal - buy it! But if you plan to wear these with jeans or on casual day to work... you might want to rethink this choice.

Shoe sizing - These feel and look so much smaller than all my other Reefs. They feel a true size smaller than they should. You may need to go up if you are in between sizes!
