I am a girl who buys mens shoes often in order to get the width I need. I was so happy to find these because I had heard Reef was no longer making them. However, I was disappointed. While they looked good, they did not seem to fit like the old ones at all. The footbed material seems softer with less arch support and the piece between my toes is wide and not flexible. So bummed because I loved my old Reefs. I did see the description included the word "updated"...not a good update for me.

I wanted to like the Reef Fanning! I liked the looks and the bottle opener feature. But alas, they keep falling apart. I wore the first pair for a summer before the bottom (near the bottle opener) cracked wide open. Being the great retailer they are, Zappos replaced them no questions asked. Here I am at the end of the summer and, again, my "new" pair have cracked in the same place. This time, the crack is so large the sole has partially delaminated and one of the anchors for the outside strap has failed (the strap has pulled free from the sole). In the interest of full disclosure, I live on Puget Sound and spend a lot of time in the salt water. I'll be shopping for a new brand of flip-flops.

I really wanted to like this shoe, but it is just too uncomfortable to wear for more than 20 minutes. It is such a relief to take these shoes off. I thought maybe the shoes would loosen up as they were broken in or that I might get used to them, but that has not been the case. The thong strap digs into my feet when I walk, and the tightness of the strap exacerbates the problem. This shoe runs really small.

As my third pair in three years are already dwindling, I decided a review was necessary. Out of the box, these feel great. Tight to your foot and pretty supportive. But I wear sandals every day all summer and by the end of the summer my feet are killing me. This pair didn't even make it till August. Yes, the bottle opener has come in handy plenty of times and these are a fun trendy sandal, but they do not have any longevity. If you want to buy a new pair of sandals every year, these will be great. If you are looking for any kind of support or a good daily walking sandal, look somewhere else.

Poorly made, the bottom separated from the top after one day at the beach.

Bottle opener very cool. Toe strap very uncomfortable. Can't imagine walking in these for even a short distance. Too bad.

Zero arch support. Not like the Fanning from 2015 at all !!

Great flip flop, very comfortable but fell apart with minimal use. Not glued together well. Not worth the price, which is sad

Been buying the Fanning in a 15 for years. Ordered a new pair last week and apparently a 15 today isn’t what a 15 used to be. The new version is much smaller.

this Reef sandals are not nearly any thing they used to be with leader , i owned my old pair for 7 years and loved them, now will never buy again

Wore these less than 10 times and the toe piece fell off. I’ve had many pairs and this if the first I’ve ever had this happen.
