I had worn my last pair for several years, well beyond the time that I should have. After buying a new pair recently, I've noticed that the new 'soft terry cloth' is actually a much smoother, thus more slippery, material which I would not call terry cloth at all, but rather a plush felt or something similar. Maybe it's much more polyester than before (if not all polyester). Without the protruding loops of a terry cloth, this material is actually so smooth that it is a safety hazard, as your foot tends to slide off the foot bed. Acorn would have more success with this if they went back to the earlier terry fabric, regardless of whether it affected the price or not. There is no substitute for quality and safety.

I bought these slippers for my husband for his birthday and while they're comfortable and soft, they fell apart a month after purchase. The seam under one of the heels came unraveled from minimal wear. They're affordable, but I'm disappointed in the quality.

I discovered this brand via receiving a pair of moccasin style Acorn slippers for Christmas 2019 and had a good experience with the brand overall. With that said, I wanted to get another style for these warmer months -- something more open toe and easy to slip on and off. I bought these recently and wore them for a few hours in the house. The following morning I go to put them on and notice the fabric began to fray at the top near the big toe at the seam where the fabric on the insole portion is sewed to the edge. This happened on both slippers. Acorn's customer service sent a second pair which was great. However, the same issue happened again a few days later on the second pair. I think I could sew both pairs back together myself, but that shouldn't be on me. Pretty bummed and will be reconsidering Acorn footwear.

I use this to come out of shower so my slippers and shoes do not get moisture inside. Be careful not to walk much in them, foot slips off. you will fall.

My husband and I are SO disappointed in our new Acorn slide slippers!!! We both have enjoyed them for over 20 years!!! During those years the quality and fit never changed. We wear them all the time in the house, never outside. The new slippers are narrower than our other ones have been. Comparing the sole I believe they are the same but I'm not sure if they are made out of the same material. The nice fleece that Acorn used to use on these slippers is no more! Now it's a cheaper fleece; kind of slippery. The fleece on the flootbed is much thinner and also slick. When walking we both noticed that the soles are not nearly as comfortable to walk on. They're harder and with the narrower width they just don't fit as comfortably. And, with the slick fleece on the footbed we both tend to fall off!!! What a sad day. We spend alot of time in slippers.Looks like we'll have to find a new brand. :O(
