I am a Massage Therapist at a five-star spa and bought these because of their great reviews and their professional look. Also on my wife's recommendation (also a massage therapist) I really wanted these to work, and really like the look. But they were the wrong shoe for my application and so returned them. I asked my wife how she feels in them when she works and she said she takes them off! I cannot do this in my setting. I have never worn a clog, or a shoe with a heel. These shoes have a very thick, stiff, solid sole with a high arch support. I found they raise my center of gravity (I'm two inches taller in them). As a therapist, I do a lot of side to side lateral movement, almost like a dance. Having the heel higher than the toe made it very difficult for me to ground through my feet. Also, the solid feel to the sole made it hard to just feel the ground. I had a hard time feeling a sense of balance in these shoes. The heel makes you rock forward to the toe. Also, because of the clog shoe type, it is a looser fit. Which made it difficult to feel balanced in them, especially in side to side lateral movement. This might be a great shoe in a different application. I hope this helps others like me, find a more suitable shoe.

I could just scream. I have been on a quest to find a truly excellent pair of clogs for my flat feet and my post-surgical knees, and these are the ones I ordered first. I liked the ones I got then and I only sent them back because I was still having some pain, and I started an amazing round of ordering and returning... Zappos has been great, not a murmur at taking them all back...and finally I decided to go back to these. WELL. They just arrived, spot-spot as usual, right after I ordered them yesterday afternoon. Great service, who can deny it? The shoes, though, are NOTHING like the originals: not only are they not narrow (although stamped as such), they were scuffed on one side, and shorter than the originals ones; my toe bangs into the end of one. I just want to pull my hair out! Jeez. This isn't Zappos fault--although I suppose someone should have noticed that the shoes are scuffed--it's Dansko's. I read somewhere that these shoes are now made somewhere in China, in fact a number of places in China, and they are all different. I personally can attest to that. Rats. I had actually planned to try Sanitas, but they were out of my size.

I am a size 7 and ordered a 38 in the Dansko Professional Hickory, Dansko Professional Black Oiled and Sanita Professional Croco Bordeaux. The Dansko Hickory did not work for me; it was the widest and longest fit of the three. Additionally, the left clog felt flat and therefore, not supportive. These will be going back. For me, the Sanita and Dansko Black oiled were a great fit out of the box.

I bought the tooled professional a year ago and love that I have no foot ache after a long day of floor nursing. The design and comfort of this shoe are phenomenal! Cosmetically, however, after a years wear, the tooled design has worn off at the toe end. I have to black polish the tips to look presentable, it is smooth now and does not resemble the tooled look of the entire shoe. Nurses out there; you can understand why his would happen with repeated use of the foot breaks on patients' bed! I own seven pairs of Danskos, and still wear the first pair I purchased in 2004! I can not wear anything other, just wish the more unique looks were more durable..

I bought my Dansko professional shoes in black patent mid-February, 2012. Now, 7.5 months later, the patent has torn over the toe. I've probably worn them 3-4 times a week for that time. I feel like they should have lasted longer. Does anyone know of a way to repair this problem? The shoes are comfortable; however, I also want them to look great. I'm kind of disappointed.

It felt great at the arch, but the top of my foot kept rubbing too much. My heal kept sliding around as well. I was hoping this narrow size would have been a good fit because it seemed like a really great shoe.

I really like this style but it just does not work for me with my high instep. I have tried stretching, getting a larger size and most recently, wide width and still annoying pressure on my instep. I will exchange them for a second pair of XP which has a little bit of a different bottom but is easy on the instep. As always, Zappos gets five stars for stellar service.

I have the "original" Dansko professionals clogs, which are the absolute "bomb" These are no where near the quality and I was totally dumbfounded by how much wider at the heel they are. They are also not as nicely streamlined and appear longer/wider and almost clownish in size and style. The inside finish is also inferior to the originals. Really really disappointed.

These look great, but a 42 fits more like a 10.5 in terms of length. When I take a step, I can feel my toe bumping the front of the shoe. They feel good elsewhere, but that's just not doable. I know I don't wear a 12 (way too big), I have 11s and 42s in other shoes and previous Danskos, and I even have a 10 in Orthaheels sandals that I just bought, so it's not just me. Back they go (along with the Sanitas that have the same issue). Maybe it's the style?

I have owned Danskos in the past and it was time for a new pair. Ordered them and I was terribly dissapointed with the new fit. Narrow and tight in the toebox. These are not the same shoes I owned in tne past. Even more dissapointed to find they are now made in China. That expains the poor fit. I promptly exchanged them for the Sanita professional clog and couldn't be happier with my decision.

I bought these 6 years ago in the black oil finish and absolutely loved them. I don't know if the different finish made the difference or if they have changed the shoe but I am not happy with the black cabrio professional version. I am a flight attendant and have found that on the 3rd day my feet are killing me. My shoes, which are supposed to be narrows, are much wider and the arch seems to be higher. The top part of the shoe cuts into the top part of my foot over my arch. Disappointed to say the least. And why can't the make the cuter versions in narrow.

Not for wide feet, very tight over the tip of the foot. I bought this style in a wide width and a regular width because I wasn't sure which size would fit. Neither did. I tried them on, then I put them up together, sole to sole, and found that the one marked as a wide width is exactly as wide as the one marked as a regular, medium width. They are the same width. Very disappointed that these were not sized as marked.

Excellent arch support. Some blistering on the back of my heel if I walk more than half a mile. After 3 months I couldn't wear these anymore because they squeak so loudly that people on the street stop me to comment.

I loved these as soon as I saw them and was very disappointed when the tooled detail wore off the toe cap within weeks. The first pair of Danskos I've ever been dissatisfied by.

Beautiful clogs. However, I ordered a 40 (wear size 10) and they were too short. A little hard to stand on, but I think they'd soften up and mold to my feet. I would have kept them but they were a tad too short and I think the next size up would have been too large. I love the tooled leather, though, absolutely gorgeous.

Unfortunately, my instep is too high for these shoes. They are just painfully tight across the top of my foot, to the point where my foot feels bruised at the end of the day. I wish I could return them, but I wore them outside hoping they would stretch out. They didn't.

I bought a pair of these 5 years ago and never liked them. At the end of the day my feet felt more tired than in tennis shoes. I kept sliding my feet out to stretch them when I was just standing around. In my tennis shoes I have custom orthotics which don't fit in Danskos, so that could be part of it. I don't think the arch is high enough for me maybe? I usually wear an 11w and got sized in a specialty store for a 42reg (which is a little longer). When all my weight is on my foot it takes up the whole width, has room at the end, and seems to fit perfectly (so I can't wear narrow). But when the weight is off when stepping or moving my foot it slides all around and my big toe touches the end. I tried 43 and it's like I'm playing the bells in a Christmas concert. Everyone said I had to get used to it. Well, I gave them so many tries that the tread is bald on the back 1/3 of the heel! They held up well considering how old and used they are. I gave them a fair shot, and they are great for a quick slip-on shoe in rainy/bad weather to do a few errands on flat ground. I usually wear tennis shoes which aren't as quick or waterproof. In these I have to think about every step. They are so heavy and wiggle/jiggle and I've sprained my ankle in them :/ I guess that's the deal with any slide/clog since they're not tightened to your foot shape with laces. I have Crocs that I've worn around the yard and stuff and ironically I love them! They feel secure. Maybe it's because they're so light they aren't wiggling around? In Danskos I feel like every step is a fight with gravity--and I've lost a few.

I've heard great things about these shoes for standing all day. I stand for about 11 hours a day and have always worn tennis shoes. I tried these but found that they were very tight with regular socks and dug in to the top of my foot. By the end of the day I was dying. The arch is also really high which I think would take getting used to. I'm returning them and getting the wide version.

These shoes are comfortable and perfect for all day wear. I bought these shoes in the narrow width (my feet being very narrow and completely falls out of the regular width) thinking they would be about perfect and they were still on the wide side even compared to other shoes in regular width. As the white sole begins to wear off you are left with an unappealing light yellow color.

Not much more comfortable than the identically styled shoes I'd been wearing (at half the price), and they are not as slip resistant. But after super long work days, my legs and back do feel better than before.

This shoe brand size definitely did not coincide with shoes that I am used to. I typically where a size 13; however, Dansko's equivalent was much smaller. All of my transactions with Zappos were smooth with no uncertainty on from my end. Return process is quite simple and I will definitely suggest this site to friends! On a side note, I think that one of the surveys I filled out for them may have leaked my cell number to some type of tele-market list. Tons of calls after registering my real # in the database...could be coincidence?

I love my these shoes. The only problem is they are smaller than the other size 39s I have! And my big toes are numb after I have worn them for a 12 hour shift! I usually wear them on my last shift! I spent too much money on them not to wear them!

I bought this product hoping that it would be a partial solution to not being able to find shoes in my size. Unfortunately this shoe is not the answer. The arch is too rigid, even though it was the correct size; but it might be great for someone else.

Tooled Leather looks hot but doesn't last long! After 4 months of daily use (not carelessly, I might add) the upper ridge of the toe has entirely rubbed out into a stripe of greenish - bluish leather. To be sure, these are every bit as excellent as every other Dansko clog, and I'm sure they'll last for years to come. They feel amazing. Many of my patients remark on how cool they look (Where did you get those? Never seen anything like that before!). But the premature wear these show is really too bad. It mars an otherwise quality and stylish shoe. I might have to contact customer service about this.
