Great shoe for a heavy dude. I love the Reebok DMX line, and have been buying them consistantly for everyday wear for about five years now. I have never worn a more comfortable shoe. Initially, I was disappointed because the DMX air pocket had a tendency to come loose from the rest of the sole and the shoes would become noisy. Reebok seems to have overcome this problem. Because I am so big, I am very hard on shoes, but I am still wearing the pair that I bought last year and they show little wear, even though I wear them almost every day.

Diabetics and shoes - These are the only shoes that I can ware and be comfortable. I have tried others but no one else in the market pads the toes and forefoot like Reebok’s DMX Max. No one…

Reebok screwed up the DMX Walk line - I have been a long time wearer of the DMX line and they have been the only shoes I had been able to wear consistently, due to orthotics and a bunion. The transition bridge that sits under my orthotic is the main reason for the success of these shoes for me. This version completely changed the feel of the shoe from the previous versions. The tread under the air pockets is no longer flat to the ground, and it makes the shoe feel squishy and is less stable. I cannot wear them for an extended time and begin to feel pain in my feet and knees. This is very disappointing as I now need to find a new supplier of shoes that I can wear consistently. I'm very unhappy about this, after years of being a loyal Reebok customer. This shoe is also narrower than previous versions, so I would recommend the wides if you have orthotics.
I'd also recommend:
Older DMX models, if you can find them.

Unexpected feel and fit of the DMX Move - I ordered the DMX Move online in a size 10 2 wide. When I put them on they did not feel wide at all. I stood up to walk in them, took two steps and felt like I was walking impaired. I found the air cells in the feet to be very unstable. I tried to get use to them but never really did. After a while wearing them for any amount of time, my feet became hot and sweaty because of the fit especially on the balls of my feet where the air cells would transfer air from the heel to the balls of my feet. The DMX MOVE was also noisy because the air cell would make the bottom of the soul protrude outward thus making the soul contact the ground before expected. They look nice but are a very sloppy feeling, sounding and uncomfortable. I put my old Reeboks back on.
I'd also recommend:
A different pair of Reebok

Like walking on a foam rubber pad...not like on air. The change from air to an all-foam cushion causes a different step pattern. From a true heel-toe to more of a heel-flop which I do not like when walking at a normal pace. After a long day of walking the feet feel fine which is good. The foam will pack down after a few months of use forming a mold pattern of your feet which is ok, but you lose the cushioning effect. The shoes are not like the older, air-cushioned DMX models.
I'd also recommend:
Any high-support walking shoe.

Well made but has a slightly odd feel - Maybe I am not used to walking on a air cushion but it feels a little odd and the air bubble seems to shift :well made and looks great - might just be me but I think it needs a little something else.

I am a long time purchaser of the DMX Max shoes from Zappos. I wear orthotics and these are the only shoes I can wear for a long period. I saw the Move DMX Max and like the updated styling. Upon receipt, though, the liners are not removable as advertised, and they are definitely narrower than the XT Max.

Feel great for the first 3 hours - I bought these at a Reebok store and wore them occasionally for four months. Recently they became my primary shoes. The quality of materials/workmanship is sub par, as they both split out in the same place. The sole is almost worn smooth. I don't expect them to last several years but six months would be nice. These shoes also make my feet hurt the more I wear them. I bought the 4E width (wide feet) and they are still a little snug. Based on my previous experience with Reebok, I thought they would 'relax' a bit, but they have not.

Reeboks have padding but no stability - I used to buy only Reebok walking shoes. I would always just go out and order the most expensive one they made. However, since I came down with plantar fasciitis, a heel spur, and Achilles tendonitis I have been having a hard time finding any shoe that fits comfortably. The Reebok Move DMX has plenty of cushioning, but like other Reebok DMX models it offers no stability at all (the uneven bottom of the shoe is a really BAD idea). My legs get fatigued easily in this model, just like past DMX models and my feet still ache from them. I will say though that this Reebok has better arch support than most New Balance shoes I've tried and gives more cushioning to the front of the foot than New Balance. I want to also add that I will only buy shoes from Zappos from now on. I made the mistake of ordering a sneaker from Shoebuy.com because they had a model I was looking for and they lied about their free return shipping. Blatantly. Never again-it is only Zappos for me!

I am struggling to find a shoe that doesn't hurt my heel spurs, plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis. So far, no luck. I didn't like these because they caused leg fatigue for me and I don't like the way they curl up at the toe.

No stars for a shoe worn through back of heel in 2 months - This shoe in now unwearable after 2 months. This was not constant wear either. The material in the back of the heel has completely worn through.
