The shoes look good and feel great, but the durability is pretty crappy. After only two months of near-daily wear, the rubber is already cracking in places, and the stitching on the upper is already starting to come undone. Maybe I'm just used to more durable shoes, but this seems pretty poor.

I tried out a pair of these because I have always liked the way Vans look and thought the leather might help make Vans work in Oregon. I will also say upfront I just barely tried them on and they felt too narrow for me so I didn't walk in them for days or years or anything, hence my opinion is more of a "first impression" after walking around my house on my carpet in them for a few minutes. However, after walking around with them on for a few minutes I decided I just don't get why people would like Vans. No support, no cushion, just a flat footed feeling to walk in. They felt a bit like my Converse high tops which I would also say are not very comfortable either really, even though I own three pairs. Which leads me to my final conclusion which was, this is a shoe like Converse or Dr. Martens, you don't wear it because it is super comfortable. You wear them because of the style and statement and eventually you get used to the way it feels and maybe even to the point of liking it or just not knowing any better.

These shoes don't last very long. After about a month the glue around the edges is coming undone making the rubber come away from the canvas.

Didn't like the shoes. Felt kind of rough/hard. Not very comfortable. Maybe they are better after you wear them in.

I am a true size 10 and I got these in a 10 and they were huge. I exchanged them for a size 9 and those work. They are cute, simple, and wear well with jeans.

Decent shoes, if you're prepared. I have to warn you, buy carefully. The shoe does nothing to hold to your foot, so if you buy one size over or under, you're going to be walking around with floppy shoes. If anything, get this shoe half a size lower, just to be safe that it fits snugly on your foot. Great for just plain walking or lounging around, it’s a lot more "free" than other shoes. So it feels nice just for overall wear. The material looks nice, but it doesn't feel like it so much at first. The entire top of the shoe is basically cloth, with a plastic inset at the back to try to give you some support. If you want a decent look, no laces, then this shoe is for you. The shoe comes in multiple colors and styles, good for anyone who wants a custom shoe that isn't really custom. Overall, not bad, but not great.

Not For Teenage Use - They look great; feel great, but the slip-ons are not holding up to average teenage scootering, biking or skating. This is the 2nd pair since summer started. The style options are great, and perhaps they are better for indoor gym class...

I bought these shoes for summer. It was the first time I had bought Vans slip-ons. I was surprised to find them extremely tight at first. I could barely get my foot in them the first time I tried them on, and my foot is an average size 7.5! However, after wearing them for a few days, they have broken in nicely and I wear them at least four days a week.

Compared Slip-Ons - My last pair of Slip-Ons were Emericas. I wore them into the ground, they were great. These are heavier and have a rim around the top back of the heel that rubs.

I like Vans, and have owned several pairs (and just bought another, so...) but I have had two basic problems with all of the pairs I have owned- First of all, they are not at all comfortable. My job basically requires me to stand for very long periods of time, and while I don't think many pairs of shoes would prevent them for being tired forever, I don't feel as if Vans has bothered to make many strides in comfort level since the 60's. And DO NOT EVER take a walk in the slip ons without socks. I have scars from having tried this. Once. Second, they are in no way durable. My slip ons, which I have only worn for brief periods of time (never more than 4 hours, never for strenuous activities, mostly just to do laundry or go to the store) had holes in them after only a handful of uses. I doubt I've even walked 5 miles in them. Style wise, however, I have gotten many, many compliments. Most are from older people, but compliments nonetheless. They are classic, and suit my style well. But a few quality improvements would be greatly appreciated.

Not like the old Vans - I've worn Vans for years. The pair I bought recently are not nearly as comfortable as the old ones. The design on the old model was printed whereas the newer ones have a design that is stamped on the fabric, which looks cheaper to me. Too bad!

Great shoe, bad fabric - I ordered the classic slip-on- #1000/black. Great shoe but after 2 weeks, the fabric/dye ran onto the white and created a pink strip on the white rim of the shoe. Made them look bad. Not sure if it’s because I wore them in the rain. I did get a replacement. We'll see how this pair holds up.

Ouch! If you plan on wearing these with no sox, forget about it. The top of your heel will be raw in no time.

These look great but have almost no arch support. They also produced blisters on my heels almost immediately. Now that I'm used to them they're a lot better but they do take some breaking in.

Instep - These shoes are amazing ... or they would be ... if they fit me. They fit true to size in length and width ... but if you have a high Instep, this shoe is NOT for you. My instep is 9 inches and these were just impossible to slip on. The elastic is not stretchy/long enough. Other than that, these shoes are totally adorable and I wish I could wear them.

Not very satisfied - I have 2 pairs of Vans. One pair just plain hurts my heel so bad I can't wear them. The other pair rubs my toes. So I have not had a very good experience. I bought another pair of cheap slip-ons and they are very comfortable.

Cool, but pinch my ankles... I love classic Vans, but they have the same problem as other "cool" shoes such as Cons and Docs - they take FOREVER to break in. I've had these shoes for a month now and they STILL pinch my ankles - they have created rough, ashy spots there that hurt and will not go away. Every time I step down there's a dull pain. The front and sides of the shoes fit fine, but it's just the back that is uncomfortable. They should really think about widening the back part of the shoe.

Great shoe! I ordered this for my teenage son, who was looking for a camo colored shoe. It fits great, easy to slip on and off, and is sturdier than the other slip-on shoes he's had before. He's a happy camper now!

look great, but too narrow - Maybe I have incredably wide feet, but these shoes at an indicate width of M for men seems generous. But they do in fact look cool and its almost worth the blisters.

Ouch! I knew I had a kind of large foot, but not to this extreme, I had to jam my foot into these shoes, it took forever. I loved the look of these shoes, but my foot is too tall for them, so I have to get the next size, the 11 just doesn’t cut it!

These shoes felt true to size and were as comfortable as I expected. I love the way they look and I think they're great everyday shoes. I wouldn't recommend them for walking because they don't have any arch support and are thinly padded. I'm disappointed because the rubber glued around the shoe is coming undone. I've had these shoes for less than a month and only wear them on weekends.

Super uncomfortable and rubs the back of your ankle, and that's with socks. I had high hopes and was let down.

I bought these in April and they already have a small hole in the toe area (less than 6 months in). I do put thin insoles in cuz let's be real....Vans are not the most comfy shoe, but I went a half size up from my normal W7.5 and they still formed a hole. I've bought the Asher perforated leather style several times and even those get holes in toe box as well as the other classics I've purchased. I think people get caught up in the nostalgia and/or look of the shoe and give them high ratings bc honestly, the shoes are flat and not comfy. Maybe for youth/teens who don't yet have foot issues, but for us "older" folks, these aint cutting it. While they aren't the most expensive shoe out there, I do think the price is a lot for a canvas shoe that doesn't last.
