This review is for the black patent leather Vans slip-ons which are gorgeous but started to fall apart immediately. I am really sad that I cannot give these a positive review as I have had Vans slip-ons (checkered fabric) in the past and they lasted for years. The rubber started to split away from the patent leather on the first wear. This happened on both pairs I tried - literally the first wear at the areas where the shoe bends and creases the most while waking, the rubber separated from the patent creating gaps in the shoe when bent. This tends to happen with the other slip-ons that I have owned but only after months and the separation is usually minimal, unlike the separations on the patent vans which were severe. Zappos customer service was amazing in dealing with the problem I had with the shoes. I really love this company, but I cannot recommend the black patent leather from my experience.

Ordered the men's size 9.5 which is supposedly a women's 11. They did not fit. It was a women's size 9.5 if that. What a gyp. I gave them away.

Love them, but have to agree with previous review that they seem to run about half size too big for me. Luckily Zappos is amazingly awesome about exchanges so I swapped them out for a half size smaller with no problem. Love them! Perfect shoe to slip on and go.

Super cute basic slip ons. I liked the regular black leather version but *everyone* has them, so I thought the patent ones would be a nice alternative. I am a true 7.5 medium width, and I found the 7.5 slip ons to be TTS, although pretty wide. Going half size down wouldn't have fit length wise, so I kept the 7.5s.

I recommend Zappos. Your customer service was wonderful! The overnight shipping great. And the customer service person, with whom I spoke was very professional, efficient and courteous. The product was perfect.

Classic. True to size. Very cool vans. What more is there to say? Oh, Zappos also offers great customer service. This is a win win for everyone.

I wanted an easy slip on and these are exactly what I was looking for. They were a little roomy but with the right sock fit great. I'm very happy with this purchase.

It is really hard to go wrong with Vans slip-ons. They are great shoes. This color swatch is a little peculiar, which I like.

Great great shoe but one complaint, it does have limitations when it comes to durability. I work at a call center and this is a great for comfort at the workplace. Caution: The sides by the tongue of the shoe are flimsy when it comes to the construction of the shoe so it starts to come apart very easily. Keep in mind I only work at a call center and I sit all day, and it's not like I put a lot of stress on the shoe so it is a little bit of a downer that they aren't that durable. A good shoe if your looking for comfort for 8 to 10 months max and for a great price as well. To sum up, excellent comfort, flexibility, and don't forget how awesome it feels to walk underneath the waffle tread. Only complaint durability.

This is my 8th pair of Vans Classic slip-ons! They are so comfortable and I love having colors to match what I'm wearing! These are kind of a brushed suede and look very stylish.

I mean, it's a Vans slip on. You know how they fit. Very comfortable. The trim on the sides is separating from the canvas, but that's normal with Vans, right? At least with all of mine. Also, they have the familiar "heel fart" when I walk sometimes.

I absolutely love these shoes! They are really comfortable and the print is so cute. They are a nice neutral, but not at all boring!

Searched high and low for the perfect black and white snake skin. Tried on every high end name brand and just wasn't happy! Then I signed on to Zappos, ordered two different sizes to see which would fit me better and am obsessed with this shoe's looks and so comfortable I'm going to order another pair for back up!

I purchased this shoe for my 10 year old son who is reluctant to wear anything but sneakers. Needless to say...he loves his new Vans. Easy on, easy off and the black with the gum sole is sharp looking and looks great with everything. Very nice quality too.

Amazing! Everyone loves these! Only downfall is I would say go a half size up they are a little tight across.

I love the way these look, they're my first Vans and probably my last. I ordered a women's 6/men's 4.5 based on the reviews that they ran big. They don't, had to return them for a women's 7/men's 6.5 which was too big, and finally got the women's 6.5/mens 5 and my normal size - with fit fine, felt good just walking around the room in. But alas, they ripped a hug hole in my skin on the back of my left ankle the first time I walked more than 1/2 a block in them - wore with socks, and I don't want to wear them again. BOO. Sneakers shouldn't give you blisters like that.

I love these. Such a classic. I used to wear these when I was in college. Vans are affordable yet stylish. I find that I need to go down a half size. Which I initially forgot. I ordered my regular size 7 (womens) and they fit great initially. But these stretched a little after just a second wear. In the future I'll be sure to order my size 6.5/5 (womens/men). I would def recommend. I buy these for myself and my toddler son. So cute.

Not a girly type of shoe if that is what you are looking for! The shine has an iridescent look to it and looks tacky! I wanted to like these so bad!

Love the look and super comfortable! They do run a bit small. If I had to do it all over, I'd have ordered a half size up. They do stretch out over time but I'd still order them a bit roomier.

These shoes are very comfortable and look dressy because of the herringbone pattern. I am a teacher and am on my feet all day. I wanted cute shoes that provided support but didn't look old fashioned or matronly. These seem to fit the bill nicely. I would recommend these slip-ons.

Would have given the these a higher rating but I received these a less than 4 months ago and they are falling apart. The outsole is separating near the toe box on both shoes at all the flex points and near the heel on the right shoe. I don't want to look down and see where the outsole used to be glued to my shoe. They are still comfortable just not so pretty. Style score new out of the box would have been a 5 but now, if I could give it a zero, I would.

I saw these shoes when putting together a blog article on slip-ons. Vans have a good reputation for being affordable and comfortable. But what got me was the leather black and white snake skin pattern. A really great neutral pattern to add style to any outfit. I finally took the plunge and bought them. They arrived yesterday thanks to Zappos super speedy VIP overnight shipping. I didn't want to take them off. They are so adorable and comfortable. I noticed today when I put them on my foot was a little sore in the pinky toe and big toe, but that will be alleviated when the leather conforms to my feet and stretches. I can wear them with skinnies, boyfriend jeans, leggings, and bootcut. They'll look great with skirts and dresses, too. The perfect bit of tomboy without looking too "boy." Love! I'd snag this before the pattern isn't available. (It was out of stock for like a month and when I bought it there was only 1 in my size.) Impressed and look forward to buying another soon.

I bought these for a trip to Europe. They were perfect for walking on cobblestones and waterproof when the streets were wet. They will be my go-to travel shoes. They do run short. I had to size up 1/2 size.
