True to size. Zappos also has an excellent return policy and amazingly quick turn around. I had another pair within 24 hours! (Don't know how they did that!)

I ordered these for my 18 year old grandson. He was very pleased with the shoes.

They are Vans, what else is there? These shoes are a better and much more comfy version of what I had as a kid. My eleven year old son loves them!

These things last forever. I have two pairs. One is four years old, the other I have had for a year. The older ones are blue, and due to that they have shown some stains and a slight amount of rubber peeling, but no significant damage at all. The newer pair, the 'espresso' color, is not only in better condition (no stains or anything), but I personally say it is the best color offered by Vans. It is a very nice brown that goes with anything, and you never have to worry about it not matching due to the style on it. Plus, since the espresso ones are just solid brown, you can get away with wearing them as an adult to nearly any occasion. I doubt the same can be said for the checkerboard pattern. Only downside is one shared with all Vans slip-on shoes: no arch support.

My son loves his new vans they are his first pair and I'm sure there will be many more in his future

I was thinking of buying Vans Slip-Ons for a really long times and finally decided to buy them. My size is 11 and since they are slip-on I was thinking if I bought it in 11 it would be too big. I bought them in 11 anyway and they fit perfectly. They slip-on to your feet really easily and come off quickly when you need them to. I would highly recommend anyone to buy these.

These are great shoes! I have flat feet and always have trouble finding summer shoes. These are my new go-to shoes. I absolutley love them!

Love the Slip-Ons in any color. These work really well as a darker pair that work well with just about any non-black outfit.

Very comfortable and easy to slip on. I rock these as slippers or for a night on the town. It's a very versatile shoe with a great look and feel. Hands down awesome!

Shoes are great, but they ran a bit big, so I had to return them for a 1/2 size smaller.

My shoe size is usually between 8.5 and 9 depending on the shoe. I bought the 8.5 based on some previous Vans I've owned. At first I though they felt just a little tight, but after about a week they stretched very nicely and are now quite comfortable. During that first week I did have some minor irritation/blistering on my achilles tendons and the outsides of my pinky toes, but that goes away once they're broken in. I love the style and pattern. The size is right! The shoes are super comfortable. Great bed in sole for a flat bottom sole. My son gets many compliments on them!

True to size but a man's 5.5 is actually a woman's 7.5 not a 7 so order by man's size (2 sizes smaller than woman's).

Fun with jeans. I usually wear a size 10 but the size 10 in these felt small. The 11 was better.

When you want to rock the checkerboard pattern but not overstate it, then these are the shoes for you. Glossy black on black hints at its black and white predecessor with a wink and a smile.

I had been interested in a Vans slip on for some time before I made this purchase. I had owned 3 other Vans shoes, each with its own shortcomings. It's mostly related to the hardness of the soles. To my delight, though, these shoes are extremely comfortable and easy to wear. I have wide feet, but these shoes can accommodate me well. One minor note: I would recommend purchasing very low cut socks to wear with these (unless you're going for the California skater look, in which case you'll want very tall socks).

These shows last 4 times as long as the bargain brands. I like them and so does my son.

Just like when I was 15 (1984) - although these are much more conservative, navy blue and black checkers. They are great. Zappos sends them out fast, too.

A great shoe but then of course it's Vans and all Vans are great. Thought it was just a black checker board but really it's a lot more than that and could be considered a somewhat fancy classic slip-on. The shoe has a nice light shine to it which makes it really different and cool. It's a total must have for all Vans lovers.
