Comfortable, Functional - Of the dozen or so walking sandals I tried, these are by far the most comfortable, even if a little funky looking. Good arch support, good for walking -- though I developed a blister on the ball of one foot after a long day on my feet -- good adjustments. I have the start of a tailor's bunion on my right foot, which requires a medium-width shoe that runs a bit wider than most (and/or that does not have seaming in that spot). This shoe feels true to width, or a bit wider; which is good, in this case. When the heel tab is pulled snug, though, the underlying fabric pads either overlap each other (forming a thicker "bump" against the side of my heel) or fold back (avoiding the overlap but creating a different kind of "bump" further toward the back of my heel. The colored, perforated strap along the outside of the foot gaps a bit -- more on one foot than the other -- and I almost returned the shoes because of this. However, due to the overall comfort and support, I decided to keep them in spite of these few small complaints, and in spite of the rather steep price. So far, so good.

Comfortable sandal for walking - I have worn these sandals every day since I bought them almost 2 months ago. They fit perfectly when the 3 velcro straps were adjusted to my foot size. I was a repeat customer for the Cosmo II sandal with the cork sole which I loved but is no longer available. My only complaints with the Yucatan is the souls of my feet start to burn after prolonged wear and they're pricey.

Best I've Found - These are not perfect shoes. In fact, the first time I bought them I returned them. But after wearing sports sandals with no bounce on city sidewalks for a week (on a trip), I tried again. While the arch seemed awkward the first time, it worked well enough the second time I ordered and after a month of old sandals (and transition from winter shoes) now I wear these a good bit, even for long walks, and they work quite well. If my feet weren't so bony, I'd probably give them a 5 for overall and for comfort. I will say that the sole is great too.

Repeat Customer - This is my second pair of these shoes, and I'll probably buy a third pair. I gave the first pair a lot of wear last year in Mexico, and was sorry when they wore out. My second pair was so immediately comfortable that I walked to and from work the first day I received them.

Besides the fact that sandals were too small i was unaware that there was GOLD leather on the straps. I did not see anything in the listing to that effect. Do not gold on sport sandals. Sorrt.

Seems narrow and small for a 9.5.

fit fine, felt comfortable, but the colors were not as expected. I was expecting darker colors, but instead the shoes came in much lighter.

I so wanted these to work as the reviews were awesome. The bottom outside of my Big toe and my pinky rubbed on the outside of the shoe. I have pretty narrow feet. Maybe I need to try a larger size.

I needed more elastic under the toe strap because of hammertoes. It was too snug

I love the fit and walkability. But they smell of very strong rubber, chemical smell. I have them outside hoping this smell will go away.

The straps rubbed uncomfortably on my right foot which is slightly bigger than my left and readjusting the straps did not seem to help.

Sandals smell terrible. I have to keep spraying with Lysol.

This sandal had very little support. It used to have more. In this size the arch was too far back for me.

Too wide, stitching in lining rubbed on foot, footbed extra firm, uncomfortably so. Overall shoe was uncomfortable and wide with very little adjustment on the toe strap.

I did not find the shoe as comfortable as the other reviewers. Even though the footbed was cushioned, my lower back started hurting as soon as I put the sandals on.

Was disappointed in the color. Thought I was getting red from the picture. The true color is more of a rust

I have an older pair of these that is wearing out after extensive use in travel. The new pair did not close as snugly around my skinny ankle; the hard plastic loop was a bit too narrow to allow me to pull the strap as much as I needed. So, back they go.

I loved these sandals. They fit like a glove and I liked the sporty look of them. They looked like walking sandals but were not bulky. I couldn't keep them, however, because they squeaked terribly as I walked--both shoes.

quality is not as good as it used to be.

Fit and size were ok. The reason i returned was (1) the bumps on the bottom actually hurt my feet and were annoying; and, (2) there are two heel straps and they did not meet, causing a large gap, which could get caught on stairs, etc.

This sandal felt like it was my size and was fairly comfortable, however, the back strap kept slipping down and I couldn’t get it tight enough to stay put. So it felt as though I had no support on my ankle and that they would come off at any time. Thus I am returning.

Pinched my little toe so keeping them isn’t an option. Basically they are too clunky for my taste

Nice sandals - clunky, but nice - too tight on my little toes. Have to return.

Wanted to love these. They look good for sporty wear and I thought they'd be appropriate for heavy city walking in hot weather. I tried them out before a trip and they didn't work for me. There wasn't enough shoe between me and the concrete. I felt like my feet weren't protected or supported enough. That said, I have two friends who are both on their second pair of these and they, obviously, love them. I wish I did!
