This is my 6th pair of Ecco sandals. It is comfortable for long walks and looks stylish enough for me to wear most non-dressy places. The one thing I did not realize when I ordered it is that the strap over the toes is one connected piece and so is not as adjustable as it would be were there two parts. (I have a small bunion on my right foot so I usually look for sandals that are adjustable.) However, so far that has not been a problem for me.

I loved the fit and comfort (had a little trouble with my bunion with a blister, however, it was much better than any other shoe I've tried recently)!

Have a very large, wide foot for a woman, and needed something I could do heavy walking in while in Italy. After trying about 4 different styles, this one was perfect: great fit, excellent support, even more comfortable then my gym shoes. Wore them with shorts and dresses, and walked around in them for an entire week without any blisters. I did break them in ahead of time, and I highly recommend that idea. So far, the velcro is holding up well, the shoe is still extremely comfortable, and I'm wearing them a lot at home too. Only downside...they make my feet smell awful! Small price to pay.

Was not sure if I would like these sandals but, they were very comfortable. Did a lot of walking in Rome and wore them almost everyday.

I've just purchased my second pair of Yucatan sandals. I need support because of pronated arches and a chronic tendonitis, and that's not easy to find in a sandal. These are excellent, the fit can be adjusted in the front, across the ankle and behind the heel. The footbed is sculpted to support the arch and it's also very soft and comfortable. It's expensive for a sandal, but I've worn a pair for a year and they have held up very well. They're also good-looking enough that I've felt comfortable wearing them even on dressier occasions. My only criticism is that they run small. If you have a medium to wide foot you can get away with the next size up. If your foot is narrow like mine, you may be stuck with a great sandal that's just a little bit short!

I broke my foot about three years ago and have had difficulty finding sandals that are somewhat stylish and comfy. Ecco sandals fit the bill. Although the sandals are pricey, they are well made and sturdy. The adjustable straps make it easy to customize the fit to your foot. \r\n\r\nYou can\'t go wrong when you purchase something from Zappos. Their customer service is great!\r\n\r\n

The shoes are very comfortable. I use them year around when the weather is not too cold. My only complaint: the bottom is made with some fine, soft material that somehow traps tiny grains of sand. The little sand grains then rob against my feet and that hurts during long walks. My coping method is to wear socks and then it's just fine.

I bought these for the first time in a mall store but will order in the future through Zappos. They are super comfortable and durable. I bought the biege/black combo but there were two other gray colors that I would have purchased had they not been paired with turquoise and indigo accents. Some of the color combos are not versatile. I'm glad my first purchase was in a store because I took a full size lower than usual.

I was looking for something a bit different in a sandal (I've always been a big fan of thong sandals) for the coming summer so I ordered these. They seem to fit my foot well and I believe they're going to be very comfortable.

I had foot surgery in Jan. 09 and my foot would still swell from time to time. When I heard that I really needed a good pair of walking shoes for Italy, I started to research walking sandals. It was helpful to read that other people with foot problems bought these shoes and loved them. I bought the black and grey ones that went with everything and the first time I put them on they fit great. I had no problems walking all over Italy. The only negative, like another purchaser, my feet smelled at the end of the day. I have never had smelly feet and I think it had something to do with the material inside of the sandals. I just cleaned them at night and kept on trucking. I would highly recommend these sandals.

I love the Yucatan sandal molded footbed and treads on bottom because it offers the support, balance, and speed, while walking, running, of an athletic shoe, but the great thing is, your feet stay cool. In hotter weather, they are my choice over sneakers. One issue that I have with them is that after you have worn them for several months, the footbed liner needs to be scrubbed, and throughly dried in the sun to prevent the development of odor. I wish the company would use a different material that could be easier to clean and be able to stop the development of odor.

I saw these sandals on a friend's feet and asked about them. She endorsed them heartily so I immediately searched for them and found them at Zappos, in my size (11AA). Hurray! Quite simply: I love them. They feel almost like a lightweight sneaker on the foot, but look more hip than a sneaker. They don't provide quite as much support as a sneaker, so I can't do a serious walk of 10 miles in them, but my feet are happy tooling around in them all over the city for a day.

These are the most comfortable sandals I\'ve ever tried on. However, in trying them around the house they seem to lack strong arch support, so I\'m debating about keeping them.

Although I intitially loved these shoes: comfort, arch, flexibility, durability, ability to adjust front and back...\r\nI bought them because I\'m pregnant and thought that the straps could adjust to my feet as they grew/swelled.\r\nHowever, this is not the case and the first day I wore them in the summer heat, my feat swelled to twice the size. \r\nSo, beware, if you\'re looking for that flexibility, the front straps do not adjust, it\'s just a facade due to the elastic that is not adjustable.\r\nStill looking for a better sandle

Pretty comfortable. Velvety soft foot bed and very comfortable and adjustable straps. I wear orthotics and comes close to being enough arch support. A bit heavy and the colors were strange. I first got the light brown color, but ended up keeping the black.

These are wonderful walking shoes...they provide great support and are very comfortable and airy. I have plantar fasciitis and they do not offer any relief from that...if I am on my feet long enough, they begin to ache. I would still recommend them as a good walking shoe despite my one minor complaint.

Bought this shoe in preparation for an overseas trip that involved lots of walking including cobble streets and hiking. Wore them every day for 10 days. The most comfortable sandal I have ever worn!

Clunky, but comfortable -
This sandal pretty much met my expectations. It is clunkier looking than I prefer, but I guess only dress sandals will be sleek (without the support and comfort).
I thought the color combinations strange and undesirable - hard to go with any outfit. So I only bought one pair, the kind of neutral looking brown.

Cushy Walking Sandal -
These were very comfortable and cushy for my 7 1/2 WW feet (I got a 39), with a nice amount of support for summer walking. Unfortunately the back right strap didn't hit my foot at the correct place. Even with the velcro I couldn't get it adjusted to a place that didn't slip and feel unstable. Not sure if it was a manufacturing defect or my ankles are different sizes, but alas I had to return them.

Magic in the mid-sole -
I'd worn the predecessor to the Ecco Yucatan sandal that was better than any I'd tried before. Styles, materials have changed, so my resistance to black nylon linings was overcome by the comfort. There's some magic in the padding/mid-sole now that cushions the bottom of my foot in the strategic places--keeps you wanting to walk and walk/shop and shop. The price is hard to swallow, though, but thanks for the research!

Comfortable, Functional -
Of the dozen or so walking sandals I tried, these are by far the most comfortable, even if a little funky looking. Good arch support, good for walking -- though I developed a blister on the ball of one foot after a long day on my feet -- good adjustments. I have the start of a tailor's bunion on my right foot, which requires a medium-width shoe that runs a bit wider than most (and/or that does not have seaming in that spot). This shoe feels true to width, or a bit wider; which is good, in this case.
When the heel tab is pulled snug, though, the underlying fabric pads either overlap each other (forming a thicker "bump" against the side of my heel) or fold back (avoiding the overlap but creating a different kind of "bump" further toward the back of my heel.
The colored, perforated strap along the outside of the foot gaps a bit -- more on one foot than the other -- and I almost returned the shoes because of this.
However, due to the overall comfort and support, I decided to keep them in spite of these few small complaints, and in spite of the rather steep price. So far, so good.

Comfortable sandal for walking -
I have worn these sandals every day since I bought them almost 2 months ago. They fit perfectly when the 3 velcro straps were adjusted to my foot size. I was a repeat customer for the Cosmo II sandal with the cork sole which I loved but is no longer available. My only complaints with the Yucatan is the souls of my feet start to burn after prolonged wear and they're pricey.

Best I've Found -
These are not perfect shoes. In fact, the first time I bought them I returned them. But after wearing sports sandals with no bounce on city sidewalks for a week (on a trip), I tried again. While the arch seemed awkward the first time, it worked well enough the second time I ordered and after a month of old sandals (and transition from winter shoes) now I wear these a good bit, even for long walks, and they work quite well. If my feet weren't so bony, I'd probably give them a 5 for overall and for comfort. I will say that the sole is great too.

This is my second pair of these shoes, and I'll probably buy a third pair. I gave the first pair a lot of wear last year in Mexico, and was sorry when they wore out. My second pair was so immediately comfortable that I walked to and from work the first day I received them.

Besides the fact that sandals were too small i was unaware that there was GOLD leather on the straps. I did not see anything in the listing to that effect. Do not gold on sport sandals. Sorrt.
