I search for comfort in shoes/sandals these days and have to have adequate arch support or I cannot where them (an added bonus is I think that these look good too!). I've found these sandals to be everything everybody says they are. The lining, both foot bed and upper, is butter-soft and they seem to have just the right amount of cushion while still being very supportive. The only thing is that I found them to run VERY NARROW (for a "medium width" labeling). I don't typically have to buy a wide size in shoes/sandals, but I would definitely have to in these. So, to remedy that problem, I bought a man's size 40 EUR (I think the smallest they make in man's sizes) and it fit perfectly! (I normally take an 8 - 8 1/2 in woman's. Once in a while, but not very often, a size 9 woman's.) One of the best features is that they are ULTRA LIGHTWEIGHT! Highly recommend.

I bought these shoes for a trip to Mexico. I found them to be very comfortable and would recommend them. The insoles did dry my feet out (other reviews comment on this), I was in a very humid environment so I knew it wasn't due just to wearing sandals. I made a point of only wearing them every other day and that really helped.

This is the second pair of Yucatan Sandals that I have purchased. I bought the brown/black pair last year and was so pleased that I thought I should buy another before they go out of style. Last year's pair are still in great condition and still just as comfortable. These are sandals that you can walk in all day. They are expensive, but very worth it.

I have had 2 pairs of these shoes previously. They last a long time, are comfortable from the beginning and can be worn in water. I use them for hiking and walking when I don't need a closed shoe.

I got these shoes for a trip to the Holy Land last month, I am so happy to have found these shoes. I took 3 pairs of shoes with me to alternate but the first day I wore these and never put on another pair for the 12 days I was there. We did a lot of walking, very hilly area, archeological sites that were very uneven walking surfaces, cobblestone streets, you name it, we had almost everything that wasn't flat and even and these shoes worked like a dream, my feet never hurt once, I am a plus size woman and so my feet are usually tired and sore after a long day of walking but not so with these shoes. I highly recommend them and would love to find a closed pair of Eccos that would be as comfortable for the winter months.

I bought this pair as a last minute purchase the day before my trip to Europe and I was so worried it wouldn't have enough arch support since I have plantar fasciitis. Well, weirdly enough, the arch support is moderate, but my feet didn't hurt at all. I usually need shoes that have more support than these do, but it was enough, maybe because of the cushioning in the heel. I wore these through cobblestone streets and walked for miles but never thought about my feet. When I finally took them off after 3 days of wear, they were a bit smelly...and I have never had foot odor - never. But, they fared very well the rest of the trip (18 days) and I still would wear them again around town. Nice construction, support, and comfort. First pair of Ecco shoes.

My favorite summer shoe. It adjusts to fit my narrow foot. It provides enough cushion and support for 3-5 mile walks. I buy a new pair every year and hope they never change.

These were amazingly soft right out of the box; no period of breaking in! They really support my arches and relieve the pain associated with Plantar Fasciitis. I have been looking for a sandal that I could do a great deal of walking in, without the bulk (and often unsightly look) of 'orthopedics' shoes. I hesitated to spend this much on sandals I did not have in front of me to try on, but am so glad I did.

I have this in black, as well as the brown. Extremely supportive; adjustable ankle and heel with a little adjustment over front of foot. I broke my ankle this past summer and live in this shoe, which was approved by my doctor. Wear an 8 so purchased this in a 39.

Needed a walking shoe for vacation. This shoe was comfortable from the moment I put it on. It was well worth the money (and more) to have a shoe that you could walk without ending up with sore feet.

I love these sandals. I do wish their sizing included half sizes, though. I am between two sizes and finally opted for the smaller one. Thus far they have been quite comfortable, but I am concerned about how they will feel after a really strenuous walk.

I will recommend these hesitantly. I was in a hurry after realizing that my trusty Mephistos were now a size too small for a walking trip in Europe...up and down hills on cobblestones. I ordered a few alternatives from Zappos and when I put them on, they were immediately comfortable...very cushy, easy to adjust to exact size, etc. The "the perfect shoe". I think that if I had used them for normal summer shoes they would have been perfect and lasted a long time. For 1/2 of a 17 day trip they were perfect. I then noticed that the cushioning was flattening out and they weren't giving the support they had been giving. Still no rubbing or sore spots. When they became uncomfortable, I bought a pair of Dr. School's (sp?) full inserts, loosened the straps and they were fine. I will still wear them around for summer and I think that anyone who bought them for normal wear would be very pleased. I am going to buy another pair for normal day wear. They're a great color and looked good with pants, shorts or skirts. Worth a try.

After being forced to give up my previous pair of Ecco sandals after years of great performance, I bought a new pair. WOW! They are amazingly comfortable, right out of the box. And they are beautiful, too. Now I wish my other pair had worn out sooner!

I love this sandal and had to purchase another pair. They are trail worthy, but comfortable. This is a replacement for my first pair that hung in there 6 years! I wear them just about every day in the summer. I purchased through Zappos because they had the color I wanted whereas my local shoe stores were sold out. I would have gone with another color however had black not been available.

Since I live in a small town with little shopping, I decided to try Zappos to purchase these Ecco sandals to replace ones I purchased elsewhere, getting the wrong style by mistake. I loved getting my new sandals in the mail and now Love Zappos and Eccos!

These are the best sandals I have ever owned! The adjustments are just right for my narrow foot. I wear a 9.5-10 and the size 40 was a great fit. Wish I could wear them all year round, but would be a bit chilly in the snow!

Great sandal. Very comfortable right out of the box. No breakin period. Great arch support. Velcro straps hold securely and enable you to be able to adjust to the perfect fit.

These sandals are comfortable and sturdy. They are just what I wanted. My feet are narrow, and the adjustable parts make the shoes fit in all the right places.

In 2007, just before my husband to-be and I were doing some last minute shopping for our wedding at the mall. With feet hurting and getting tired - we saw a shoe store with the Ecco offroad Yucatan sandal in the window. We stopped in and tried these sandals on -- it's the first time in my life that I ever put on a pair of shoes and didn't want to take them off! And I hate wearing shoes of any kind. Love being bare-foot. Had to have them! They are so comfortable, good support, adjustable. My feet, legs and lower back don't hurt. And I've worked retail for 30 years. And, when you live in Arizona - where you live in sandals 364 days out-of-the year - you want something good & comfortable. Love them! I recommend these sandals to all of my friends. You won't be sorry!

My favorite sandal! Super comfortable and durable, and I walk several miles most days. I had a tan pair and liked them so much I ordered it in black.

A good quality rugged shoe but I had to return it. I don't pronate (roll in), am a neutral walker, and there was too much arch support and in the wrong place. It hurt. I also was looking for a light colored sandal but on my foot the ivory/white model looked like a black shoe with some light accents. A small style issue was that the front cross strap is cut at an odd angle and was covering too much of my toes. I went back to my old standby and bought a Teva.

This is a great fitting shoe and is very comfortable. In fact, it's my second pair of the tan/black combo. I wore the first pair for several years before it finally broke. I also have a pair that is red with black trim. I use this shoe as my summer walking shoe instead of tennies. Easy to adjust to accommodate various foot issues such as my bunion. I would highly recommend.
