I expected to like this sandal more, especially given its cost. The foot bed was a little long on me; it extends a bit too far beyond my toes, though the rest of the sandal is the right size. I have bunions. I got this sandal because it looked as though the strap that goes across the toes was adjustable. It's not. The Velcro strap there is ornamental. The arch support is moderately good; if you have sky-high arches, like I do, you may need something like the Strutz arch support. I expected better from an Ecco sandal, a brand I've loved in the past. As to the style, I actually like this style of sandal. Something about the look of it pleases me. And it's great that this one comes in lots of colors.

Not enough arch support for me, but I'm used to wearing Superfoot inserts in my shoes and have a complicated and painful foot. These just aren't right for me.

over 3 years ago I bought a pair of ecco rainier sandals and they have been the best shoes I ever had in my life - they had injected high arch supports , very thick grip type soles and helped with my balance- - after searching for another pair just like them over a period of months , there were none to be found so I settled on this pair as a substitute-these DO NOT have the high injected arch supports and the soles on this pair is not as grip friendly as the rainier model- elderly seniors need all the help they can get to keep from falling- I am not thrilled with the differences but I will keep them because I am desperate for new sandals- - it appears to me that the quality has been somewhat sacrificed but the price has remained high- no one in my circle of friends would believe I paid 140.45 for this pair of shoes- money is not the object, I am willing to pay whatever the price if I could only find exactly what I am looking for- if you are a first time buyer, you will probably be very happy with your purchase- if you are a second or third time buyer, do not expect the same high injected arch support and heavily gripped soles that you have become used to in the past- they look good and are well constructed- I hope these last 3 years like the last ones did-

I really wanted this sandal to work since I have been searching for a walking sandal that would work with my various foot problems: mild pronation, high arches, pronounced bunion right foot and tendonitis. It looks well made, is nice looking and very comfortable materials. However, the arch support just wasn't sufficient, it might have moderate arch support but is not designed for high arches. In addition, as one reviewer noted, the front strap looks adjustable but is not, and while the footbed in general was wide enough for my foot, the front strap was uncomfortably tight on the bunion. So, unfortunately, I've had to return it.

Not as comfortable as my old (apparently discontinued) Eccos, which were completely adjustable across the ball of the foot, for example. I experienced pain at the base of my big toe after a couple of miles in these. Overall, not especially comfortable.

Very comfortable, just too narrow for me. More comfortable than the Rainier version which were too wavy in the sole for me.

I am a 50 year old Mom. These were comfortable, but my 20 year old daughter said they scream "nerd", and all I have to do is add black socks. But hey, she is graduating and looking for a marketing job so what does she know?!

This sandal was supposed to take me hiking through the summer, but when I got them, no matter how I adjusted them they were just too wide. The straps also did not seem very sturdy, so regular use of the velcro for adjusting would have worn them out quickly. I chose to return them and keep looking. Also rubbed against outer toe.

Those with sensitive skin beware. The shoe is reasonably supportive and I was planning to keep this pair, so I tried them barefoot. (And yes, my feet were brand newly washed before going into shoes - smile) Omigoodness what an awful experience. I did not even walk much, mostly sat... but before the hour was up I HAD to get them off my feet. The bottoms of my feet & toes were bright red and burning. They are still so sore today that it hurts to walk... feels like they've been scrubbed with sandpaper. If you have sensitive skin, think twice before ordering this shoe.

Really comfortable with pretty good support. Chose because they were comfortable but seemed like the could handle a hike. Unfortunately they fell apart at the heal strap before I could hike. So disappointed.

I have narrow feet but the strap by the toes felt tight. All of the Ecco shoes I tried felt this way and smaller than I would expect. I take a 7.5 size sandal and I bought the 7-7.5 size which felt small. An 8 would be too big. I really wanted to like these! But I will stick with brands that have genuine half sizes.

I bought my first Yucatans at REI maybe 8 years ago. I'm still wearing them, but they're pretty dingy, and no longer as supportive. I was ready for a new pair, but, sadly, they are now cut too narrow for my foot. I'm spilling over at the sides, and my toes are squished. Rats! Why did they have to go and mess with a good thing? ECCO, I beg you, bring back the old cut, mark it wide, and continue to offer this newest rendition as narrow.

Love these sandals EXCEPT you cannot adjust the top velcro strap. This made the whole sandal uncomfortable. Too bad. Otherwise great.

The width in the front over the toes is too narrow and cannot be adjusted wider. Disappointed since my old Ycatans were much more roomier in the tow area.

This has never happened to me before: the left shoe felt as if the sole was narrower than the right one. And the right one felt ok but made a loud squishy noise when I tried to walk on it (the left one did not make the noise). Also, minor matter, but there was a very short string coming out about 1/6" from the rubber sole on the side of one of the shoes. It had been stuck in there by the rubber--you can see it through the rubber and the part coming out on the attached picture. If that had been the only problem, though, I wouldn't be returning them.

Sorry, but these are NOT a 3-way adjustable fit. The toe area is circumferential. It is fixed. It is NOT adjustable. Except for the tight area around toes, it seems like it had potential to be a great sandal. Make the toe area completely adjustable and you'd have a better custom fit. Otherwise, toe box is too restrictive.

When these sandals first were sold they were wider. I bought 2 pair and wore them out. I'm going on a trip to Italy and decide to buy addition pairs. Original shoes required no breaking in. These are too narrow an not easily adjustable. My feet hurt after a couple of hours. Very disappointed.

These sandals look nice but they have faults. There should be a split in the front part and the Velcro piece needs to be longer. When one stands the Velcro comes apart. Other brands seem to have the same problem. It is a pain.

I'm a true 7 1/2. Ordered the 38 and they were too short. Got the 39 and tried them. Couldn't get them adjusted right, so my foot moved around too much and caused blisters on the balls of my foot under the big toes. Will be returning. Just ordered the Ecco Breeze after trying them on in a store. Hope these will be better. Wish Ecco would make a 38 1/2. Zappos is just great!

No, no, no!! Couldn't believe this sandal was going to give me blisters and on both feet! I put them on as soon as I received them, went shopping, came home limping! ECCO is such a good brand of shoe, read all the reviews and I was one of the few that has to give it a low star rating. If only I had worn them in the house I would have returned them, that's how quickly I felt them to be the wrong shoe for me. Sooooo sorry for me and all this money!

These shoes were a huge disappointment. There is very little arch support and what little support there is positioned behind my arch--too close to the heel. In addition, the shoes squeak LOUDLY with every step if you are walking on a hard surface (e.g., hardwood, tile). The squeak did not occur when walking across a carpet, but I spend very little time walking on carpets.

These sandals were supposed to be 5/5.5. They were HUGE. Even with straps pulled to their tightest it wouldn't come close to tightening on my foot. I don't know how others get fit, but I would need Herman Munster feet for these to fit. Back to Zappos they go.

Unfortunately, I am returning this shoe because it wasn't comfortable in the front area. It seemed too hard to be comfortable for a walk of any distance.
