I've bought this Ecco brand sandal and the "yucatan" model for more than ten years. First purchased at shoe store. As my foot is very narrow, I can keep straps adjusted for good fit. They are more expensive, but I wear them all the time and at 80 yrs, have no foot, leg, or back discomfort / pain that often go with poorly fitting shoes. Living in CA I wear them nearly the year round. They wear well.

I ended up returning these because the soles were so hard. They weren't comfortable to wear

This is my 5th pair of Yucatan sandals because I wear them out because they're the only ones I buy. I don't wear them for hikes but do wear them every day all day for casual times, and my feet don't get tired. I don't care for the white on this pair, but Ecco no longer makes my favorite brown and black ones for women, just men.

Third pair. What else do I need to say?

Full disclosure: my feet are always a problem. I liked these shoes but had to return them. The footbed was really comfortable. Unfortunately, the patent wasn’t pliable enough on my foot and rubbed too much. I ordered same shoe not in patent and they’re comfortable. I liked the way these looked but wasn’t good for me.

I was looking for a ruggedized sandal and these looked promising. I have sensitive feet, meaning lots of shoes will rub across the back of my heel the wrong way and I end up with painful blisters. This summer I have also developed what I think is plantar fasciitis since the underside of my heels are very painful, likely due to excessive flip flop wearing. The challenge I have is that I had to make a go/no-go decision without ever really being able to wear them. Despite the 3 adjustable straps, my first impression scared me a bit. My toes felt snug, the shoes seemed narrow even though I do not take Wide shoes in anything, and it felt like my foot was pushing forward towards the front of the shoe while walking around the house. Fearing an expensive mistake and the potential for blisters, I sent these back.

Everything was as expected

I've worn Ecco Yucatan sandals for years. Still find them to be the most comfortable ever, and they last and last. Wear a 9.5 so the 40 is perfect.

Fit and size are fine. They are comfortable and I like the look. Only drawback is due to the black rubber in the bed of the shoe. Seems like my feet are hotter wearing them compared to other sandals I have. I think I’ll enjoy them In fall when the temperature will hopefully drop below 100!

Everything about this shoe works for me! I have had 5 surgeries on my feet and it is difficult to find Anything close to “comfortable “ until now!! This shoe is comfortable!!

Love these sandals. This is my second pair. Nice to be able to rely on a brand like Ecco.

I purchased this shoe to wear after having foot surgery. So far, I’ve been very pleased by how comfortable are. They feel like sneakers! I have received many compliments on the color (dark brown/burgundy). The patent leather gives it a special touch!

I wanted to like these but really want a closed toe sandal. These were nice looking, for me whose now a bit older, but the strap across the toes seemed like it might rub in the wrong places. So I’m sending them back. Nice sandal, though, with good arch support and the sole seems able to stand up to all ground types (cobblestone, gravel, etc.).

I need a wide width and these were just too tight across the toes for me. I was very disappointed that they didn’t fit me. Very cute everyday sandals.

these are very comfortable and supportive...i have foot injuries and these sandals allow me to run around longer than usual without pain...the style is comfort-active which is okay, it would be nice if it was a bit edgier or more artful but nothing is perfect and i have ordered another pair. Thank you Zappos and Ecco.

I didn't find these sandals to be comfortable. I wore them in my Living Room for a little while and found they rubbed aagainst the inside of my foot. I also thought the insole was going to get slippery because it didn't seem to be made of an absorbant material. I decided to return them.

These were fantastic!!!!! - Just didn't care for the color/patent for me. Will def order again when Zappos gets in other colors in my size 39. Perfect walking sandal for arthritic knees......and thankfully these do not have the unbearable super high arch!

I bought my first Yucatans at REI maybe 8 years ago. I'm still wearing them, but they're pretty dingy, and no longer as supportive. I was ready for a new pair, but, sadly, they are now cut too narrow for my foot. I'm spilling over at the sides, and my toes are squished. Rats! Why did they have to go and mess with a good thing? ECCO, I beg you, bring back the old cut, mark it wide, and continue to offer this newest rendition as narrow.

Have many pair of ECCO Yukatan sandals all so comfortable right out of the box. Never an issue. Love them

These replaced a very old pair of the same shoe. I could immediately feel the more snug, supportive feel. They are great.

Love the look of these shoes but they “just fit” meaning a fraction more and they would be too small. Good arch support.

All 5 stars. They run slightly wider after ive worn them for awhile. My feet are a bit on narrow side in heel.

Fit true to size. I wore these around Costa Rica and the beach and in the hills and they offered good support and comfort for long walks that didn't require a closed toe hiking shoe. Dries quickly.
