Love the colors available!! I wish that Birkenstock would provide more options for the foot bed of their great shoe!! I love their soft foot bed, but why don't they offer it in awesome creative colors?? I teach art, am an artist and love to wear what makes me smile and other people!! The foot bed of this Arizona Birk is hard and high in the arch area for me. But I love the color!! I use a hammer and hammer down the arch area and wear them!! ? Birkenstock's "Arizona" After an ankle/foot injury, I needed a roomy shoe with lots of arch support. My son recommended Birkenstock, because he likes his. I ordered them wider than I normally would have, and they "work" (perhaps a bit too roomy) when I wear heavy socks. I still need the open back style with good arch support, so I'm wearing these shoes everyday. Hopefully, they will grow even more comfortable as I wear them. They feel longer than my usual size 9. They look good with khakis and jeans!

Suggested for foot pain from my Dr. These sandals where suggested to me by my Dr for foot pain from Planter fasciitis. The bottom is very stiff like a board which gives good foot support and arch support. They do make my foot feel better and I use them around the house. Not the best looking Sandal around but I need them for comfort.

Birkenstock's Arizona (Birko-Flor™) size problem - I wear US men’s size 10 1/2 and used your size chart to order a size 43 (men’s 10-10 1/2 = 43) even though my old Birks were size 40. The 43's were at least 3/4 of an inch to long so I exchanged them for size 41 which fit better. The length is good but my feet slide forward with the straps as tight as they will get. After a little more break-in time I will probably need to punch an additional hole in the straps for a tighter fit. Zappos telephone tech support through all of this has been great and I would order from them again.

On the left shoe, the sole is separated from the cork on a section about an inch and a half long.

I don't think my feet can tolerate "breaking in" Birkenstocks. While this style supposedly has the Birko-Flor, they felt hard as a rock and much too stiff to wear for even an hour.

I read through a bunch of reviews to see how these compared to leather and felt like there were enough positive reviews to get these. Well, I should’ve gone with leather. I understand that there’s a break-in period, but we’re here a few weeks later and the sole has broken in but the man-made straps have not. These still tear up my feet if I wear them too long. I used to have a pair of leather Clark’s and they we’re the most comfortable pair of sandals I’ve ever owned. I should’ve known better. Guess I’m stuck with blisters and bandaids until I feel like I’ve gotten their worth out of them. :/

I am still trying to figure out if this shoe does anything for me. When I first put my feet into it, it felt hard as a rock and my ankles hurt from the impact of walking. It did not feel at all like my feet were shaping the sole as I assumed they would - the material is just too hard for that. I am not even sure that it's not some cheap Chinese knock off that is not cheap to buy at an expensive price and the strap is not even leather. After a month I still feel that I am not done testing it.

This is my second pair of Birks, but I did not realize that these were so much different than the more expensive pair. They still have the same footbed, which is the most important part, but they have much cheaper leather straps versus the other ones. They look and feel cheap too. I am disappointed and should have sprung for the better ones.

I have many pairs of Birkenstocks in various uppers. I've never had a problem with the Birkoflor until this pair. After 2 months of wearing them the strap is cracking. No way to fix because it's the synthetic leather. All of my other Birkenstocks have lasted forever with regular cork sealing. Cracking straps was a new one for me. Disappointing for $110 sandals!

I was not sent what I ordered…. Wrong size .. looks like there are feet prints on the bottom .

This will be my last pair of Birkenstock. They've stopped making larger sizes with leather straps (been looking for nearly 2 years now) and only this "Birko-Flor" synthetic junk is available for people with larger feet. It's clearly a cost cutting measure where they are trying to price gouge for the leather straps and phase them out of the product line. Leather costs more for a reason. Never mind that their trademark footbed has suede as a top layer. So the hippies are still putting leather on their feet. PVC cracks and simply is not as comfortable as leather. Furthermore, you can't get one (Milano) anymore with a backstrap over size 13. I do not like Birko-Flor. It's toxic to manufacture, not easily biodegradable, and is not suitable for shoes as a leather replacement. You're paying full price for an inferior product that doesn't live up to the classic Birkenstock standard.

Please tell me that they get more comfortable. Please. I wore them for first day today and my feet are killing me , even my back and knees. Are these not supposed to be good for you? I am really hoping that they will break in.

Roughly 6 months ago I decided to invest in a pair of standard Birkenstock Leather Arizona Sandals, as they came highly recommended by a friend. Being a resident of Michigan I rarely got the opportunity to wear the sandals until this past month. The sole of the shoes wore out so quickly that when I took the shoes to a repair center they said since the wear had reached the cork they were completely unrepairable. Comparably I have purchased similar styled sandals from Wal-Mart for roughly $5, these shoes last nearly a year of continuous heavy use. For this price I expect far more out of a pair of sandals. Save your time and money, the quality of these sandals is far below what I expected.

I ordered a size smaller than recommended & they fit perfect. I like the Birko-Flors because they're super easy to clean if oil or any other substance is dripped on them & there is no break in period for the uppers.

I purchased 2 pairs- same size but one was wide and other narrow. Definitely needed the wide footbed to fit properly. Gave the narrow one to my daughter. Birkenstocks are the best shoe for my feet

Fit great right out of the box; now I just need to break them in. There's a reason why Birks have been around so long! If you have an extra wide foot, these might be too tight but they are adjustable.

Perfect fit & size

As a man, flip flops are embarrassing. These are the only sandals I would consider. Super comfortable. They do get dirty eventually but nobody sees that so not really a problem. I’d like to get a colored pair they have as well in non leather. Highly recommend. Mine are almost 5 years old and still in good condition.
