They're great. A little more hard plastic feeling on the bottom than my last ones from years ago. I can almost live in Keens all summer. Definitely runs a full size small, how they are letting that go to market is a bad oversight. Even the size that fit was a little small but Keens stretch over wear so I kept them.

These are nice sandals but they run large. I am returning the size 10 which I usually wear. Otherwise, they are very good sandals.

Great arch support, but my husband says they look like clown shoes because of the big, turned up toe area. They are made in China and the black material is no longer webbing but a cheap looking suede/felt looking material. Miss the old Keens.

I love the style of these shoes and for casual, limited wearing time, they are wonderful. However, after walking in them for an hour, the inside foot strap rubbed a blister on both feet. Am still wearing but protect rub area w/ a large bandaid.

I love these shoes, but I had to return them due to discomfort on my left heel. For some odd reason, the footbed put uncomfortable pressure on the right side of the heel of my left foot. It might be a defect in this particular pair of shoes or could just be the anatomy of my left foot. Otherwise I would have kept these shoes! In any event, these shoes are made very well and do not look as clunky as they do on the webpage. The footbed was very comfortable on my right foot and I am sure that I could have walked all day in them. They are also nice and cool. I would highly recommend these for others!

Beautiful Keen sandal. However, the fronts of the 2 shoes did not line up, amking them look uneven on my feet. Also, the inner sole was uncomfortable. I am returning them.

I was looking for a water shoe for our trip to Hawaii and bought Keens for my husband and for myself. I normally wear an 8 but these were huge. I think I have a normal foot, a high arch, but not a wide or narrow foot. But the 8 swallowed my foot. I am really suprised by how many other reviews mention needing to go up a half size with Keens. I double checked my Keen snow boots and they are also a 7.5. So, I tend to think go down. Those are the only 7.5 in my entire shoe closet (and I have a LOT of shoes). I do normally wear heals on a daily basis for work or other dress shoes. Possibly, I am not up with athletic shoes enough. My Addidas running shoes are 8s. Hope this is helpful.

I purchased the Keen Venice H2, the Clarks Wave Swivel, and the Ahnu Tilden IV water sandals all in size 7 (I am usually a 6.5-7), which have a similar covered-toe style. My purpose was for a summer of river rafting (waterproof and good traction) as well as amusement parks (for all-day walking comfort and protection from being stepped on). In each case, the size was perfect, and they all offered great traction, support, and comfortable straps. I thought the Keen was the cutest of the three, but unfortunately it made my big toes feel smooshed. I tried it again in 7.5, but that size was too loose and exposed my toes (I don't like them getting stepped on in lines). Since other reviewers don't mention the big toe problem, maybe it is just my foot shape. I don't typically have this problem, other than with Crocs, which crush my big toes too. So if you have had this problem in the past, these Keens will smash your big toes. These shoes were returned. Thanks, Zappos! The winner is the Ahnu! All the straps make it look busier and less streamlined than the Keens, so I like the look the least (but others tell me they are cute). But they are the only sandal which meet my needs without feeling too cramped in the big toe area. I have found a new favorite brand.

I have wide feet, which makes it difficult to find shoes in regular widths that fit me. I've tried on different styles of Keens, which were much too tight. I thought the Venice style might work better since there are fewer straps on the side of the foot, and it did. These shoes were comfortable from the first moment I put them on. They are not overly tight around my foot, and there is plenty of room in the toes. My foot length is about a 7, but the 8 is perfect. The only con is that my feet get a little sweaty in them, hence the 4 star rating. Other than that, I love these shoes.

These are not quite true to size, but close. There is no choice above for not quite true to size. I tried these in a 10½, which is more-or-less my true size. They are tight enough as to be hot and for me to feel my toes hitting the end. However, Whispers in an 11 were so huge and it caused me to trip so often as to be hugely unsafe for a person who is rehabilitating from a serious car crash. Also, I think I am a person who is not suited to synthetic materials. My feet feel hot in them, even when they are sandals. I am ordering leather next. I think if your normal size is a 10½, but that in that size you have plenty of room, but not too much room, these are a go, so long as you do not mind feeling a bit hot in them.

This was the one perfect shoe for my trip to Ecuador: solid enough to handle jungle hikes but waterproofed to handle 'wet landings' in the Galapagos. (I violated my cardinal rule by buying new shoes just before going on the trip, precluding the requisite break in period. I bought +.5 size and returned that pair immediately. I then bought and kept shoes +1 size, but should have gotten +1.5 sizes, as I developed some blisters and lost the nail on the small toe. Wearing shoes loosely helped, and there is some give after wearing.) These shoes did great in all types of terrain - wet and dry - even handling moderate boulder hopping on lava rocks. Their traction was OK on wet / slippery surfaces but not perfect. On one jungle hike, through the pouring rain and sluicing mud, the shoes did fantastic in terms of traction and allowing rainwater to move easily off the shoe bed. The shoes are easy to get on and off, even when wet, and they dry out quickly even when soaked. The arch support is noticeably good. After I got home, I washed the shoes per the rather skimpy directions provided by the Keen website (wash on gentle cycle, allow to air dry). My machine ultra-gentle cycle runs 30 minutes on low, cold water wash and rinse. The shoes came out just fine from the machine. I purchased Raja Red and found the shoes held their vibrant colors through the jungle mud trip, wet landings in the ocean, and the washing machine. The only reason I did not score these shoes a perfect 5 was because of the sizing.

Comfy sandal, but weird to fit. I originally bought the Whisper from a different site but that size was too small. I was trying to decide whether to get the Whisper again or try the Venice H2. I took heed to reviews that said size up, but boy was that wrong. Maybe it's just my narrow foot, but the 10 was way too big, so I'm sure the 9.5 would fit but once I got the sandal on I didn't like the styling on my foot. The toe box is just a little too roomy for my foot. So, back to the Whisper it is, only this time in a 10.

Almost comfortable for me with my bunions, but unfortunately one of the straps rubs on the tops of my bunions, so they'll have to go back. Sad because they're cute with all the rest of Keens good features: wide footbed, comfortable sole, toe guard, etc.

I would recommend these for people with an average-to-narrow foot, who need moderate to little arch support. I love KEENS and live in my Toyah mary janes, but this was not comfortable for my slightly wide foot (I'm right in the middle between a B-medium and a C width) and not very supportive for my high arches. The straps also hit a little uncomfortably near my toes. So, I ended up taking a friend's advice and getting the Youth Newport H2 at Zappos and it was great. Has the wee extra width and the straps are more comfy, although I still wish they had a little better arch support like my awesome mary janes! They are almost identical to the women's version and I wear a 7.5 in that. A Youth Size 6 feels great and may even accommodate a women’s size 8 foot as well. I figure once one decides on these shoes, and want the toe protection, a tad more rugged looking doesn't really matter in the long run, right?! :)

I love these shoes. Extremely comfortable and very, very cute. Two caveats: they are a little long in the back - basically, I'd wear a 7-3/4 shoe if there was one, and the back strap pushes my foot forward so that more of the back edge sticks out than I'd really love. Fortunately, the toe is fairly wide so this isn't a problem. Also, people should know that the composition of the sole makes your feet somewhat hot if worn without socks. But these are small details for a wonderful shoe design.

For my vacation on Kauai, I wanted a pair of sandals/shoes that would get me through several rocky and wet tropical hikes. I do have a pair of hiking boots, but those tend to be overkill for a tropical island. Years ago, I brought Tevas, which were suitable. This time around, I wanted something more stylish, perhaps with more tread. So I purchased the Keen Venice H2 from good ole Zappos. I m pretty pleased with the results. First off, I wouldn't go as far as saying these are stylin . But the red color is really cute, and I actually got a lot of compliments. Second, if you re not a confident hiker, then I do recommend wearing standard hiking boots, even for tropical trails. Boots will be a bit claustrophobic in humid weather but better that than a twisted ankle. For me, the Keens worked wonderfully. I sludge through mud, waded through streams, and climbed wet rocks. The tread is good but not like the tread of serious hiking boots. So I did slip now and then (and you still might in boots on these tropical trails). The holes throughout the shoes allowed my feet to breathe and it was amazingly easy to wash away mud and sand simply by walking through a stream or ocean waves. I didn't even need to take them off. I'm very pleased with this purchase and definitely recommend these Keens.

Almost perfect - I have to say these are the most comfortable shoes I have had in some time. The only reason I would give 4 stars and not 5 is that looks wise they are a bit clunky, which is not my style. BUT I also have really high arches and plantar fasciitis, so it is hard to find sleek sophisticated styles that can accommodate these issues. The arch support is almost enough for me...I think for a person with regular arches the support would probably be quite excellent. I put inserts in which helped a lot...and you couldn't see them that much. Overall, a good purchase for hanging around or on a day with lots of mall walking etc...but looks wise not suited for much else.

If only... I so wanted these shoes to work! They're super cushy, but just not quite long enough (size 11). Plus, there's this odd lump in the middle of the foot. Oh well!

Very nice sandals - I am enjoying the sandals. My only complaint is that the sole is a little rough and mildly uncomfortable. I used an insert "Foot-Petals Killer Kushions," that helps a lot. They are great for hiking.

Not Light or Bright enough - I'm going with the Keen Zerraports this time. I have a pair of Keen Trinidads and they are dark and heavy looking too. I just wanted a flirtier, more fun, more feminine Keen this time. I ordered these in the purple thinking it was the most "springy/Summer" color, but still found it overall dark and warm looking. I'm getting some Keen thongs too. Followed sizing advice to order up half size. Fit well.

Great shoe, just not for me - I tried the Keen Venice H2 in the store. I love the bright green color, but the fit wasn't great. I have the Newport and love that shoe. This one is slightly longer and doesn't snug up to my foot the way the Newport does. The ball of my foot and arch don't line up with the shoe either. Maybe it's just my foot. I loved the strong support and comfort of the Venice though. Don't be afraid to try it; it may be just the shoe for your foot.

Hiking sandal - I have a narrow foot, but the adjustable tie on the front allows this medium width sandal to fit properly. The closed toe keeps most small pebbles out of the sandal. I'm looking forward to wearing it on a trip later this month.

Venice H2, candidate for best hiking sandal ever, plus! I've conducted an extensive search to find a step-up from Teva's recent offerings and this is it! These babies are less than a month old and they've easily handled several moderate hikes in NH's White Mountains with nary a blister. They are reasonably supportive and the sliding closure system is easy to use and seems to work well. My feet feel great after 2-3 hours of hiking and Keens handle wet river rocks as well as any shoe I've owned. The toe cap is a brilliant idea, for rugged outdoorsmen as well as for hospital personnel and other workers looking for an airy shoe with toe protection. So comfortable that I was able to wear them for a full day's work on day 1, they generate great comments from co-workers. I am optimistic that I may have found the only shoe I need for our fall trip to Puerto Rico where they will do service in the mountains of the rain forest as well as on the streets and beaches. This is my 2nd pair of Keens and will certainly not be my last! I just have to decide whether to go with another pair of Venice’s next (I went with basic black first but the brilliant colors are very appealing) or try one of the many other temptations that Keen has to offer. I especially recommend Keens to anyone with short, wide feet; also to anyone who is hard on shoes as my first pair (Providence Perfs) are still in great shape and I'm notoriously hard on shoes. My sister owns Newport H2s and she says they wash great in the washer too.
