Ordered Venice in 7 and 7 1/2. I normally wear a 7. Both sizes seemed too short. My toes touched the end in both. They would have been comfortable except for that. Ordered Keen Whisper also and they fit wonderfully in a 7 1/2.

My poor feet have been getting flatter and more pronated with age despite wearing custom orthotics at least half-time to help with on/off plantar issues. I wear 7.5M these days (up from 7M) and need narrow heels and wider toe box. Merrells used to work but like Keens varies style to style. I am on the "hunt" and can't say enough about Zappos service. This company truly rocks! I now don't shop for shoes anywhere else! At this point in my hardworking "foot" life, it seems that Keens now have the most supportive footbed for me. Unfortunately I am having a difficult time finding a style that works despite a plethora of them in the Keen collection. I chose the Venice because it looked less encased (the Newport was too sweaty feeling) than the other sport sandals in the lineup but it has a wider toe box and more volume than the Newport. While there are fewer straps, the left side cut into my pronating instep despite its lined, cushy straps because the toe box is too wide. I did need to wear the 8 as the Venice seems to be the older, boxier style of Keen shoes. Back to the hunt and hoping to find that "right" Keen model for my fussy, aging, hard charging feet! Next is the Whisper model with and without the heel strap...thank you, Zappos!

I have a pair of these from a couple years ago. In my opinion, the quality and fit have gone downhill. Like most companies, they are trying to squeeze profitability out of their product and it feels like they have sacrificed a little on quality. I returned these and got a different Keen sandal that I felt was made a little better. Overall pretty sandal but didn't live up to the Keen brand for me.

I normally wear a size 9-1/2. I have plantar fasciitis, and I was looking for sport sandals with great arch support. I bought the Keen Venice H2 in a 10 and the Orthaheel Muir Vionic in a 9. The footbeds were pretty much the right size in both. The Orthaheel has amazing arch support, the Keen not so much. Unfortunately, I have a "low profile" foot, and I am not able to tighten the front strap on the Orthaheel sandal enough to make it fit (it has a very short span of velcro for this purpose, and the strap would be hanging on the ground if I were able to fasten it tight enough.) The Keen straps are loose as well, and my feet flop around in them unless I pull the elastic fastener really tight, but they would be workable if I didn't need better arch support. I am returning both, and hoping that Orthaheel comes out with a more "Chaco-like" strap system (fastened by a buckle rather than velcro, and made of webbing, so any excess can just be trimmed off with a hot knife!).

They look like the picture; however, are "boxy" looking. They are comfortable but not very attractive.

I really wanted to like this shoe. But within the first couple steps the middle connection between the top and the sole started to chafe on the skin on the side of my foot. Also, arch support was good - except it wasn't were my arch was. Decided to return them. Bummer.

Great colors, good construction. However, they seem to run slightly smaller than other Keen shoes I own, and smaller than other brands of the same size. Therefore, they're slightly uncomfortable.

Loved these at first. Great fit, support & cute purple color. Wore them walking the dog a few times without a problem. Then made the mistake recently of wearing them all day shopping. It felt like my feet were on fire - they even turned red. A shoe store salesman said the material in the sole holds heat. This shoe is made to get wet so someone wearing it in & around water might not feel the heat. Can't bear to wear these longer than an hour or so. I've heard the leather Keens stay much cooler. If I purchase Keen's again, it will be only be their leather shoes. Any similar problems out there?

I ordered a size 8 in these shoes, which is what I normally wear, but the shoe was too short and my toes bumped the front of the shoe when I walked. Had to return them.

I really wanted this shoe to fit because they are really cute! I wanted this type of shoe to walk/hike in as I hate closed in athletic shoes. I have a wide foot and these only come in a medium width. I initially ordered a 9.5 because I understood that they ran small and I usually wear a 9 wide. They were still too narrow for me so I tried the 10, and although fairly comfortable they cut into the widest part of my foot so I have to return them. I ended up buying a similar Teva sandal which seemed to run wider.

They were right. These are about a half size smaller than my other size 11 Keens. The biggest problem with that is they don't make an 11-1/2! And the men's version doesn't come in any colors I like, so I decided to keep them and see if I can make them work. They are okay most of the time, but if I've been on my feet a lot, later in the day they are a little snug in the toes. Bummer! Why can't Keen make all the size 11s the same?

Not built for long hikes -
Bought these for hiking the Camino in Spain. Got them two weeks early so I could break them in. Lots of blisters--and they never stopped coming. I think if I hadn't hiked 15 to 20 miles a day in them after those two weeks, I would have eventually been ok, but as I did, my feet look like hell. I'm not complaining--I think I asked more of them than I should have. I did buy a half size bigger than I usually wear, as I heard they ran small, and they fit well.

I found these to be perfectly true to size and width, but I don't have a hard-to-fit foot, which is why I buy all my shoes online at Zappos. Due to the reviews and the pricey price, I expected them to be considerably more comfortable. They're just a three-star okay. All my various pairs of Tevas are WAY more comfortable than these Keens, even their little flip-flops, and they are less expensive. But I wanted a sandal option with a toe for certain activities. These are keepers because of that, the good fit, and I love the purple color which I haven't seen on any other athletic shoe. I also like that they're designed so the pinky toe can't slip out. Other than that, I'm totally a Teva gal. Like many others have said, these really do make your feet super hot, even indoors, which sort of defeats the purpose of a sandal.

Take note and buy half-size larger.
I should have bought a half size larger. After wearing them 16 hours straight, the front of my toes were hurting me a lot. I have not had that problem with any other Keen shoes, even the ones I bought that were narrower or shorter than I would like them to be. If decide to try this style again in a half-size larger, I will buy the leather version and NOT this version.

Not So Comfortable -
They looked and felt great when I tried them on, but as the day wore on, so did my heels and after the second day, so did my instep. Adjusting them did no good. I was very disappointed because I loved the way they cradled and supported my foot as well as the way they looked. I wear a 7.5 street shoe, but an 8 running shoe so I got 8's. I guess Keens just aren't for me.

Watch the Small Sizing -
These sandals run small. The back heel band pushes the foot forward so you may not take the size you usually do. I wear a 101/2 to 11 shoe, and the 11 is too small for me. It would not be if the back heel strap were adjustable. Women's sizes do not go above 11. They should. If you go to men's sizing, the back strap is very high, and the heel area quite wide.

I love Keen shoes and have five other pairs, but this style fit me strangely. I generally wear a 5 but got these in a 5 1/2 on the advice of the reviews. There is plenty of room in the back of the shoe, almost too much, but the heel strap seems to force my foot forward and jams my toes into the toe guard. The first few wearings were uncomfortable. They are slightly more comfortable now but I still end up with sore big toes after long walks. I'll keep buying Keens and recommend them wholeheartedly but this particular style is probably better for people with short toes.

Keens are a half size short!
I just ordered three pairs of Keen shoes, and all three felt at least a half size too short. I highly recommend ordering a half size bigger than you usually wear.

I'm not so crazy about these shoes. They're very hot to wear and after a full day, my toe tips are black. I bought a half size larger, as suggested, and the fit is fine. I do like that they're enclosed toes. Lots of people notice them and seem to like them.

Stick with the Newports -
These look nicer than the Newports, but they are a slot smaller and a very narrow. I have a medium width foot and these were made for baby feet in comparison. The sizing is also different from the Newport. I have a 9-1/2 Newport but that is way too small in the Venice. Order a full size up if in doubt.
Besides the fact that these were obviously made for a narrow foot, the shock absorption on these is not up to the standard of the Newport. The Newport cushions while these offer no support at all.
This isn't an upgrade to the Newport, this is a fashion downgrade. I have Keen Newports, Trinidad's, Yogui's, and Bronx, and the Venice isn't up to any of these shoes… Even if my foot was narrow and tiny, these things would be going back.

I forgot to say that Zappos is the only place that I will purchase shoes from! They have customer service that is the best, bar none! Also, I wear a 12M to 12W in shoes but I wear an 11M in this Keen Venice sandal.
