These shoes have been my go to shoes for the gym for a long time. I normally need a wide width shoe however these shoes run wide so I get mediums. They are light weight and require no break in time. My only complaint is that they wear out fairly quickly starting with the fabric in the back of the shoe which starts to tear. I do wear them five days a week so they get a workout.

Wide Width & Comfortable - I have to admit that when I received the Easy Spirit Punter just hours after I'd ordered them online, I was a bit skeptical. I've always had good luck with Easy Spirit athletic shoes, but these 8WW looked a bit on the narrow side. I told my husband I'd just wear them around the house to see if they were too narrow. I had them on for an hour in the house and then I was outside walking around and I am very pleased to report that these are not only the right width, but also VERY comfortable and supportive. I've struggled with shoes all my life, and especially now. Thanks to Zappos, I am wearing great shoes that allow me to wear them for lengths of time without complaining how achy my feet are!

Pretty dang good - Comfortable, but some people said I should never buy white shoes again and others said they made my feet look fat, but extremely comfortable.

I bought a pair for myself and my mom. Till recently, we had been fans of Easy Spirit shoes for a long time. We both have wide feet and have had foot injuries. When new, these shoes feel very comfortable. However, after wearing them for merely 2-3 weeks, I felt that there was no more heel support. My heels have been hurting like crazy. It's really strange because I did not experience this issue with my older ES shoes. The toe area is wide and so my long toes aren't squeezed. I guess this is the saving grace for these shoes. Finally, I told my mom to return her order.

Looks can fool you - These shoes looked good but did not fit as well as other Easy Spirits I have worn. They felt clunky and wider than size would indicate. Took them on a trip for sightseeing. After 2 weeks of wearing this shoe I had sore and bruised toes. I find the Jumper style much more comfortable. I think this was because the shoe was too loose in fit. Tightening the laces did not help.

Unexpectedly uncomfortable - I've always loved Easy Spirit dress shoes so I thought I'd try the athletic variety. Sad to say, this shoe was a disappointment. The arch support was not what I expected--it was in a different place on each shoe. One shoe was comfortable, the other was not. I know, one foot isn't exactly the same as the other, but I've never felt shoes that were so different in the arches. I have a high arch and a medium width foot. It's possible this was just a dud pair, but I've returned them. Thanks, Zappos, for making that part painless!

Disappointment - Having worn the Easy Spirit Erace and later called EStiebreakers for many years, I found the Punter a big let down. The sole seems hard and clunky to me. Also, one shoe is too tight and the other too loose. I am aware that my left foot is slightly larger than the right, but have never had problems with shoes because of that. I'm continuing to wear them, having spent the money, but definitely will not be ordering these again. I am on the hunt for a different shoe as walking 3 1/2 miles a day demands a good fitting shoe. Zappos is awesome!
